He models his game a lot after Klay, and if Kuminga can develop his shot he can be a Kawhi or Paul George type of player.. With our coaching hires focused on player development I’m sure they’ll be able to reach their potential on the Warriors! 🤞🏽😌🤞🏽

he actually has a chance to start at the 2 guard to start the season. Depends if they want to keep Jordan Poole's offense coming off the bench. I can see Moody getting 20-24 minutes a game almost right away and starting. Kuminga doesnt have an immediately transferable skill

The perfect fit would be with the Detroit Pistons who have prototypes they've had in the past to model his game after in Kentavius Caldwell-Pope and Kris Middleton. Both players struggled in similar areas early in their careers only to evolve into high-level starters. Moody has a young team that he can be plugged into immediately as a 3-and-D Shooter between Killian Hayes and Josh Jackson. They would form an elite perimeter defense with the ability to switch and the length to get deflections in passing lanes, Coach Dwayne Casey would love him!
Detroit needs scorers, not 3nD. Y’all need guys like Jalen Green,Josh Christopher, James Bouknight,BJ Boston. That’ll bring out the best of Killian Hayes high IQ basketball. Like how CP3 got DBook, but CP3 can also create his own shot unlike Killian

Moses Moody reminds me a lot of Mikal Bridges, who is turning into an excellent 3-and-D player for the suns. there’s no reason Moody cannot also deliver that type of production on a team like the warriors.

Kings should look heavily into Moody. Trade Buddy and you replace him with Moody's similar shooting potential, much better defense, much better ability at getting to the line, and much cheaper contract. Plus the assets you receive from trading Buddy.

@@Meekkhi kuminga is a great pick actually. He's the wingman that could add to the Warriors' depth. Why I said draft Moody at 7 and trade 14, cuz I want them to trade 14 to Pistons for Jerami Grant. But Kuminga can fill that role.

Moses Moody is a pure shooter with two way potential because of his wingspan. He played high school ball with Cade Cunningham so he can definitely play with other stars.

Moody and Poole could be an awesome off the bench offensive duo for the Dubs. I think he's gonna be way better than Kuminga. At least early on.

I agree, although I see why they picked Kuminga. He can gain an advantage with his handles and then just blast his way through the defender to the rim. He is a powerful explosive athlete with the will to get to the rim; and if he is that at 18, what will he look like if he grows bigger, stronger, or taller? Those traits show up when rebounding and defending, when engaged, as well. He shoots too many 3's and bad, wild, mid-range 2's. They just need to coach / discipline the wild shots out of his game, and hope he gets better at making the good shots. I think expecting improvement there is reasonable. And, he does make some nice passes when driving, as well.
Let me be clear, I'm not fully expecting this, and I'm talking best case scenarios as being "poor man's" versions, but they remind me a little of Giannis and Middleton in the style of how each plays. It is like the W's drafted embryonic versions of the Bucks stars. The debate over which to choose at 7, in my mind, was that Moody appears much further down the road in development toward that end, while finding a mini-Giannis is a much more difficult, but rewarding feat. If just one of these guys pans out within the next couple of years, the W's will be strong.

Warriors have to go all in. The 7th and 14th pick could be useful and rookie that could contribute. Maybe Oubre Jr. could be sign and trade to a big man like a Markanen or Olynick. Davion Mitchell is another player that could be in consideration for 7th spot.
I was disappointed in his performance in the post season as a Hawgs fan.

I’m really trying to buy into him that he will be this all star type player but I just don’t see it. He is a great outside shooter which I can give him that along with good defense, but everything else is just okay I guess. I probably still choose Bouknight over him (elbow injury hindered him a bit but that will go away in time) just because he passes the eye test vs Moody. Orlando Magic has a lot of work to do on their picks.

Have no idea what his comp would be. He’s an above average shooter, but not overly athletic. Seems to have a good basketball IQ, but not a huge motor yet.
He’s young, so he’ll get stronger. And, in the press conference, his shoulders looked wider than Kuminga.

Instead of being the main focus of the defense at Ark, he will have guys cheating off of him, then scrambling back to him when he gets the ball. With his length, he doesn't need too much space to get off the 3, but I do see a lot of pump fakes and easy mid-range J's in his future, as well as passes to cutters when he gets to the lane. Great pick for the W's.
