A trip down memory lane: the University of Kent and the city of Canterbury in the early/mid-noughties. As featured in our Degree Congregations ceremony DVDs fom 2008.
Thanks for sharing. Loved my time at UKC (87-90) and although most of the shops and pubs have changed hands the great landmarks I remember are still there. I must go back and spend a few days there soon. Been in the USA for 18 years and lost touch with so many people.
Graduated in 2007 and this was already in my Congregation DVD. Such memories... Watching it felt like being back in time. Best thing is that one of the girls in the aerobic class ended up being my landlady a year later. 😄
I’m glad someone else said this. The Venue is in its original format with open balcony too. This is the Canterbury of my A Levels at the local FE college not the one of my 4-year degree (2000-2004 Eliot)

Ah the good old days and so very different from when I was there just last week.
A great and gripping view. A pleasure to watch. Brought back pleasant memories of UKC
Ah, that was so good to watch.
The best times!
Serene Environment, thought to be enabling.
I'd put money on this being the late 90s. The Franklin and Firkin closed in 2001.

It certainly couldn't be any earlier than 1999 as a novelisation of Star Wars Episode I can be seen in one frame. I'd guess mid-1999.
