Good video. 👍👌👏 It is nice to hear a young optimistic comic fan like yourself give your opinions. I'm not sure that I as a Gen X'er have any answers for you.. I bought GHOST MACHINE and thought that is was ok. There are lots of people making comics who love comics but they all need day jobs too because not enough people read American comics anymore and even when they did the pay was never great for artists or writers .That is probably why GHOST MACHINE resds like promos for Amazon Prime or Netflix tv shows. Also you mentioned Manga which sells great but it is well known that many artists are not paid much. The recent DEADPOOL SAMURAI even had some in jokes about that in the story. Do we really want to follow the Manga financial model in American comics? Also...in case you haven't noticed we are in a economic crisis with high inflation. We are not in a bubble because we like comics. I am sure some people have cut back on comics because they are too expensive and the quality of the big two hasn't been great . Anyway I currently enjoy many indies. I love THE RESISTANCE UNIVERSE comics by AWA UPSHOT Comics. I think they are of a higher quality than GHOST MACHINE. I love KONKRET COMICS, DARK HORSE YOUNEEK COMICS, ADVENT COMICS and there is a comic called JUPITER by Jason Sandberg who is a huge Kirby fan. There is good stuff but you just have to look. Nobody is talking about any of the book I mentioned either. Maybe Eric July's method with the Rippaverse is a blueprint for the future. I don't know. I will be checking out more of your videos and posts. Stay positive about comics👍👍
