YAY!!! Whenever I play this park, the first thing I do is put in row boats on the lake, because you can have them open, and they will row around for however long they want, so no guests complain about everything being too expensive. :)
With the boats you only have to keep the track going for one or two squares with a curve at the entrance and the exit. It would also help if you constructed multiple stations around the lake so people can get on and off at different stations like the trains and monorails!
Start with 5 as the entrance fee and first time they say its cheap, increase by 3, second time 2, third time 3, fourth time 2 so its like, 5, 8, 10, 13, 15 etc. dont increase the entrance fee beyond 50 let gentle rides be free, thrill rides be 50c, water rides around 60, transport rides 70, coasters around 2-2.50, bathrooms free and shops default. this is working really well for me and money is always rolling in,
I use the ride fee for controlling queue such as log frame set $3-4, coaster $3-5, beginning coaster ~$2-3, all fixed rides $1-2, ride in water $0.5-1, transports, depends popular or not park entry fee, start set 2, then $5>10>15>20>>>>>50 more over, close to deadline and well developed, cash flow very good, entry fee low as $2 or 5, or =0
what ive noticed is that while you can get away with higher prices than 2.5 for newer coasters, after a while the hype will die down and you have to lower to around 2 so there will be a constant stream, at least if you are going with entrance prices. i usually just set it low so i wont have to monitor all the coasters while im building. some rides will have very few visitors (like haunted house and scrambled eggs) either way because visitors tend to only ride those once each just so they work up their nerve and want to go on more thrilling coasters, basically building up their intensity capacity i guess, which is why it also helps to have them always for free. the higher entrance price, the less they want to spend on coasters, so if you are raising entrance fee prices while having minimum of 2 per ride, your queues are going to drop because it too expensive
Every time you change anything in your rides, you have to test them. The people won't ride them until they know what the rating is. And you can rotate the sign by itself instead of the whole camera.
Just remember on Flat Rides, once the guests stop riding and you lowered your price to almost free, Delete it. You get All your Money Back. Then Rebuild it in the same spot and Raise the price back up to where you started. It's a Completely New Ride in Guests minds. Always Charge Close to the Excitement Amount. If Excitement is 6.60 Charge $6.50, If it is 2.34 Charge $2.25. Drinks and Food should be $1.50. No one ever complained in my parks about the price. IF you charge a Gate Fee, Prices on Rides are Half the Excitement Ratings. Any Higher and Guest will not pay that much to ride. Umbrellas Should be $6-$9 because they Will Buy them when it's raining, as long as they have the cash to do so. Balloons $1.00-$1.25, Souvenirs $3.50, Maps Free and no more than $0.20 for Toilets or guests will get mad and start leaving the park causing your park rating to go down. Ferris Wheel excitement will be Majorly Improved by surrounding it with Tall Trees but only set it to ONE Revolution or Guest will Complain about wanting to get off of it.
Pleeeease start charging entrance fees! Just start off with $5 then increase slowly every time you get the message "Guests have been commenting on your entrance fee...."!! You get so much money!
God, right at the beginning, it's like "SOeu you guys were saying I should charge an entrance fee" and I'm like "Oh heck yes now he won't be needlessly poor the whole time anymore - "Oeh waiit, they only come in with $90.. I think I'll keep charging rides instead." - I'm out.
In my experience, boats do always come back, it just takes some time. You should have been a bit more patient, I guess :D I never had problems, and I never made prebuilt boat tracks. Btw. for Helixes, I think I remember you have to build a straight track upwards/downwards (which also has to be banked i think), for the Helix to become available under "special". Otherwise it will not show. Just try something like that. Helixes should be possible in RCT1.
You should make a spooky themeed rollorcoster the takes the coster back into the trees (away from the park, and there can be like a creappy blairwitch type story to it.
OpenRCT2 adds the option to play RCT2 with multiple people over the internet in the same scenario. Would be fun to do one or two "building with viewers" episodes I thought.
Oh my days the music from the merry-go-round brings me back.... The nostalgia!!!!!!!! It's one of the most beautiful sounds I have ever heard.
Thank u so much for coming back to this!
Good to see it's going to be a mini series and not a one off vid :D
Never have I actually built a custom coaster in any park I ever owned. I feel like I missed out on something in my childhood. RIP
The swan boat has 4 people per boat which is the most so you might want to change to that.
in my experience, boat, swans are most popular,
But I will build all types of boat with 4 rides in the lake of the map

That ending was fabulous
When you get the Go Carts, rename one of the people in the park Damon Hill. They will become super fast on the track!
Ah, I miss the 90s...

This used to be my favorite game. I still have the game but no PC. So I will enjoy the game through your videos.
Every time you change anything in your rides, you have to test them. The people won't ride them until they know what the rating is.
And you can rotate the sign by itself instead of the whole camera.
I will test just 1 train
There is no need to test any ride.
I never did.
Yay! I'm glad you brought this back for a series!

Another episode, YAY! This is such a great little series :D
The Steel Coaster can do a single loop coaster that is cheap to build and people seem to like it.
Indeed, with either a reverse lift or a boosted start, its like $2,000 and gets so much money
Jamie Holding shuttle loop
Thats the one. I also found the veritcal coaster "Big 90" always did well too
This game is awesome! Love the series :)))
I really love this
This was my favorite park in the original game. I would spend forever trying to make it nice.
if you put a bathroom by the rides that people puke at most, it helps reduce the vomit..so do benches and not putting food near those rides also
Massive nostalgia man! Makes want to play again, unfortunately I was never very good at the scenarios.
I love your vids this is my fav game ever and you have enlivened me to purchase it again :)
yay! it's back
Go karts is the best ride
I love it!
We need a series on this
YASSSS I live for these videos
Pleeeease start charging entrance fees! Just start off with $5 then increase slowly every time you get the message "Guests have been commenting on your entrance fee...."!! You get so much money!
Wow, this takes me back... though I find myself screaming things at him which isn't great. But I was very stuck in my ways with this game.
holy shit, that boat track thing was aggravating. Just connect it to the island, and face it back towards the exit
The people in the boats eventually get back to the start, they just stay out for a longer time
God, right at the beginning, it's like "SOeu you guys were saying I should charge an entrance fee" and I'm like "Oh heck yes now he won't be needlessly poor the whole time anymore - "Oeh waiit, they only come in with $90.. I think I'll keep charging rides instead." - I'm out.
It's better than Planet Coaster! =D
If I remember correctly you can charge for the bathroom too. I think they will pay up to .50c without complaint. Not much but it adds up

You can actually set ride duration time to determine how quickly the boats go back to the station.
You should make a spooky themeed rollorcoster the takes the coster back into the trees (away from the park, and there can be like a creappy blairwitch type story to it.
You should rename that ride Slagathor the Rainbow worm.
yeeessss!! it's back!
What a cliff hanger!
People return to the station on the boats, they just stay out for a while. (You may be able to change the time they stay out under the ride settings.
OH NO! Make the Go karts a blair witch spooky type thing.
Try having a coaster go underground. I thought that RC1 already had that feature
Didn't you play Theme Park World as a child? That was my favorite amusement park game :)
18:49 whahahahah i laughed so hard !
Don't you wish there was a way to increase the speed of the game, like those cheetah speed things.. those were incredibly helpful.
Awesome video's!!! one question...how do you build walkways underground?
This makes me wanna replay rct
If you think these trees are annoying wait until the park where you can't modify land or remove trees
you should change the boats into bumperboats because they are actually a lot faster
The haunted house is broken and you need to fix it! You are getting less profit because you haven't fixed it yet.
just get the entrance fee to be something like $10-$20,k then you will get a lot more profit
they dont care if the fee is $5 it just means you get A LOT more profit
PLANET COASTER !!!
You should try some RCT2 Online using the Open RCT mod.
He listened!
I know somebody gunna say know body cares, but 8mins after upload- THAT FAST FOR ME
I always do is: build the station in 10 units
Do more of these videoooooosss
Should call the boats 'Boats and Hoes'
you got go kow kamey amey aaaa
the "track" for the boat hire is supposed to look like waves
I think it's supposed to be floating bouys actually.
fierst
oh yeah
You didn't have to build a track, they would have made there way back.
Oh my, I'm early. Hi flabs
Could you stream one time RollerCoaster Tycoon 1?
90$ man these kid are freaking rich or spoiled
hello🙃
i wonder what happens when you play RCT2
OpenRCT2 multiplayer with viewers maybe? ;)
erm wat?
OpenRCT2 adds the option to play RCT2 with multiple people over the internet in the same scenario. Would be fun to do one or two "building with viewers" episodes I thought.
u know im talking about rollercoaster tycoon 2
I'm too
cant you ride the coasters ?
I don't think that existed until RC3 actually :o
That was the big selling point for RCT3! Didn't exist till then. (At least for the RCT series.)
your da sells avon
