When ESPN realized that people would rather watch the debate-based format of First Take rather than the mellowed out original Cold Pizza, that's when they started promoting gossip, drama, and on-air altercations. Now it's all about disseminating falsehoods and starting arguments for no apparent reason.

Windy's stat about the Lakers being in the top 6 only once in the last 12 years lacks the context of Kobe Bryant tearing his Achilles and the team actively tanking to keep all the picks that they had traded to the Suns and 76ers. Then of course the run to the Western conference finals with the Lakers being a play in team because they know if LeBron is on the team they don't really care about the regular season standing as much.

The Lakers have JJ, but more importantly obviously LeBron & AD. It’s more about their roster, which is very good (They played Denver well, anyone with eyes could see this).
They improve their roster even slightly they will be Top 5 in the West easily, just get some notable players to relieve pressure off Bron & AD when they are on the bench, or out of games

How is it a "best decision for the Lakers", JJ wouldn't have gotten this job if it wasn't for LBJ ... so there's no merit in this hire. The man is NO track-record, coaching the biggest team in the world. ---> Right now as it stands, the probability of catastrophic failure is sky high.

  • @IsHeARealOneVadaRealMC

ESPN contradicts itself in the same sentence 😂. The Lakers have finished higher than the 6 seed in ___ years. Maybe that’s why they fire coaches geniuses. Then they say “the roster is trash” although most people said they CAN beat anyone other than Denver. Which one is it? It seems they agree with every criticism under all circumstances.
