    I have a 3080 and an i5 12600k, which settings would you advice?

    • @benchmarkbros
      @benchmarkbros  Před 8 měsíci

      Just go with high settings, Raytracing, and DLSS set to either performance or balanced. If the game gets FSR 3 support in the future you could consider Path Tracing.

      Thanks! I tried max settings, raytracing ultra and DLSS balanced and I'm well over 70fps! I tried Path Tracing but I'm low to 30-35 ahah@@benchmarkbros

    Thanks Man i was asking my Self can i play 3440x1440 with a 4070s but after ur Vid i no it has to be 4070ti because with DLSS Qualy we only get 59 and in Phantum Liberty i think we have to play with performance. The Centre of Phantom is bad Ass FPS for my 3060ti OC in the Same Resolution i dont can play the Game with RT on let alone with PT

    so i bought the same card and i got exactly the same resolution 3440x1440 and the same pc (7600x with 64gb ) so what settings do you prefer to play right now? dlss performance with path tracing? do the image really looks that good? or should at least until the ray reconstructor be fixed i stick with dlss quality and normal raytracing?

    • @benchmarkbros
      @benchmarkbros  Před 8 měsíci +1

      Id go with DLSS Performance + Path Tracing + Ray Reconstruction, the game looks really good with Path Tracing, and with those settings you'll be getting 90ish fps on average.

      Hi did you face any issue related to random fps drops that would stay for a few seconds and then go away?

    • @benchmarkbros
      @benchmarkbros  Před 8 měsíci

      @@cn21gaming57 It can happen, but not normally. It seems to happen when you zoom in on things and are running around, then you run out of VRAM and the game engine takes a few seconds to free up some VRAM.

    i hate film grain and motion blur too. lol. Im running a 4070ti eagle, 3440x 1440 alienware aw3423dwf, i didnt get the AMD version of the monitor, but both screens support g sync. However, for some weird reason, in witcher 3 wild hunt, in the first 1 minute of the game, its barely playable with all the options turned up to maximum settings. Have you heard of anyone having this issue? its weird, it will go from over 100fps down to 20 fps and back up again on the screen where the bath tub is , and there really is nothing going on there, which makes me think its some sort of bug. I also was having issues running red dead 2 . Not as bad as witcher, but definatley having some weird dips and drops that I get on NO other games except witcher 3. I can't figure it out, because its only those two games, Im guessing it has to be the settings i have, but i even tried using nvidias geforce expierience and let it auto set the setttings for me, but it chooses the maxium settings possible for the games just as i had chosen to begin with. I figured I would ask you if you had any ideas, since we are running the same resolution and similar graphics cards. Im running a liquid cooled ryzen 9 7950x3d (undervolted negative 30) so i get 5.3ghz and 5.7ghz depending on which cores its using. 6500mhz ddr5 ram, and a pcie generation 5 m.2 nvme drive which reads and writes at over 10,000 mb/s. (I thought maybe the generation 5 m.2 drive could be over heating causing stuttering, but i moved the game to one of my samsung pro 990 gen 4 m.2 drives and i get the same issues with witcher 3 and red dead 2. (that drives read and write are alot slower at around 7100 mb/s read and write) anyway like the channel, wanted to hear your opinion on what I was seeing with those two games. something stupid like that , drives me nuts, until i can figure it out and fix it. lol.

      I've had issues in the past with some games too, especially when you enable raytracing and DLSS 3. the fps drop could be related to loading all the AI models in VRAM and not having enough space. If if you're gaming at 4k, this is most likely what you're experiencing.

    • @JerseyJohnnysElectronicsGaming
      @JerseyJohnnysElectronicsGaming Před 5 měsíci

      @benchmarkbros , the only 12gb of vram I thought would be the issue but I'm not gaming at 4k, I'm gaming at 3440 x 1440. Which still , with Ray tracing turned all the way up etc can definitely eat up the vram and cause issues. Newer games actually won't let me turn some assets up to ultra because the 4070ti only has 12gb of vram. 2 new games actually I just ran into that issue in the options menu (which pissed me off) I have a rtx3090 founders edition in my virtual pinball machine I bet would run the games fine becaude it has 24gb of vram, but it runs a whole 1ghz slower . Oh well. I won't be happy until the rtx5090 comes out. I'm stuck being angry with the 4070ti until then lol

    I’m considering getting an ultra wide but I’m scared that it’s going to effect the performance of the 4070 ti super

    • @benchmarkbros
      @benchmarkbros  Před 3 měsíci

      You'll be fine, the only issue I've faced with the non-super 4070 ti was not having enough VRAM, 12GB isn't that much. The 4070 ti super has 16GB so you'll be able to fit all the AI models + game resources without problems.
      Are you considering ultra wide or super ultra wide? Normal ultra wide is fine even on the 4070 ti non-super.

    did you overclock the GPU? it's almost 3 GHz...

    • @benchmarkbros
      @benchmarkbros  Před 8 měsíci

      Yes it's a bit overclocked, I wasn't recording on an external capture card so performance with the overclock should be roughly the same as without OC and not recording.

    Path tracing is also ray tracing. "Path tracing vs ray tracing" doesn't make any sense. It's like saying "taxis vs cars".

    • @benchmarkbros
      @benchmarkbros  Před 8 měsíci +1

      They're actually very different, Rayteacing draws the scene with rasterization and than shoots rays, path tracing is a step and doesnt rely on raterization. This article from Nvidia explains it better blogs.nvidia.com/blog/2022/03/23/what-is-path-tracing/#:~:text=Ray%20tracing%20takes%20this%20further,a%20larger%20light%20simulation%20system.

      @@benchmarkbros No, actually, they aren't. They are different when you're referring to the terms that Nvidia uses. Nvidia should have called the "ray tracing" mode "hybrid + path tracing" mode, as the terms that Nvidia uses cause confusion among users. I will say it again: path tracing is a specific type of ray tracing technique. Do you not agree that path tracing is a specific type of ray tracing technique? Yes or no?
