In the wake of to economic adviser announcing he will be leaving the White House, CNN's Jake Tapper looks back at the series of high profile exits from the Trump administration.
Is it just me, or is Sarah Huckabee Sanders trying to be unemployed for the rest of her life? The amount of horse-manure she spews from that podium is unbelievable. Its truly incredible to watch.
tyler conrad I see Sarah as sort of a chubby, unpopular little girl who's just a little too awkward and not personable for anybody to hire. So her dad got her a job at the _Rejects and Misfits Department_ of the White House.
Agree, people like Cohn do not care about morel or other people, otherwise there where not ultra rich, only evil people getting ultra rich, pay there workers as less as possible, just enough so they do not revolve against the elite.
I P DHH At that level you can't just be a spectator. If you're going to sit in the same room with Peter Navarro while he plots the destruction of the world's economy, you're partly guilty too. If you can't stop him, you have no choice but to resign or take the blame.
The same people who despised Obama all these years now bring him up as a comparison when they can't explain or defend an issue with Trump. They'll say 'but Obama' or 'what about Hillary' because they can't defend the point. Im not an ardent fan of any politician but when people do this why don't they realize they are not making any sense. Are they unable to acknowledge and deal with that issue or do they really not get it?
And are the Q-balls still salivating and rubbing their hands together imagining 15,000 sealed indictments that aren't and a global pedo ring with imaginary children?
Ken Albertsen The winning started December 12 with the Alabama Senate race. It will continue on with the Republican massacre in November, then two long years of work to rid the government of the GOP scourge. When we finally have a real president, yes, THEN I'll be tired.
Ok, I hate the tariff idea, but if the President claims (not agreeing or disagreeing that is up to judge) it is for national security the President does have authority to impose tariffs. However, the congress can override the President on the tariff issue if they unite in votes. So the real question here is does our congress have the guts to stop this or are they just giving us lip service.
cheap grace, I don't think that is accurate for just the Republicans. Both parties avoid taking any major action or take any chances. The entire legislative branch seems to push every and anything they can toward whomever is the current president. Yes there are a few on each side that actually take a stand but the vast majority seem to be career politicians that think if they never do anything they can never be blamed. The problem is we lost a check and balance.
The Republican party is quite frankly just vacant at this point and the Democratic party can't seem to stick together....on anything. Tariffs have never been good. Nor have trade wars which is basically what tariffs are. It will cost us. All of us.
cheap grace, please don't get angry but I don't entirely agree. President Trump is an obnoxious big mouth rude crude buffon, but he is not evil. I believe that when we start dehumanizing it means we are on the path to fanaticism. I look at President Trump and call out what I see as wrongs and rights. Granted he has lots of wrongs, especially his rhetoric. Sorry to disagree but thanks for your good comments.
I like how dismissive Toobin is regarding the rights of Aluminum. Aluminum is the N-word of the non-ferrous metals. It's time we stood up and recognized this historical wrongs that were done to Aluminum.
Pretty Accountant* That was awesome 😂. Can't forget he also said "your Comie" It always cracks me up when he randomly says shit like that. I was in tears the other day when he said "I'm just a different breed of cat" 🤣
Who are they replacing these people with? That's another question. To my knowledge of administration has not been at full staff the whole year. This is worse than we think.
"Why are they leaving?" They walked into a swamp and have found themselves becoming covered in suffocating mud and for their survival they have to leave, while they can.
Sure thing, I’ll make sure to keep my ear to the rail regarding new people in the WH who might try to misuse their position in the government for personal gain. That’s so heinous! Gosh, we haven’t seen that kind of depravity yet! Thanks for the warning!
It is not as much the landslide of exits that is the problem, it is the fact some never were paid employees of the White House and yet were able to walk the halls, have security clearance and advise the President. These people should not have been allowed in the building until they were, in fact, a paid employee and therefore responsible for their actions. Family members and in-laws do not automatically become eligible to advise on national and international issues. If they want to do this, Employ them to do so.
In any corporation, a board of directors would fire the CEO for malfeasance with this sort of turnover. Or if not a corporation, would lead to ruination of the business.
Yes, the turnover has been high and Gary Cohn’s departure is the most impactful from a policy perspective. But, Jeff Toobin’s lack of a moral compass disqualifies him from speaking to Mr. Cohn’s character. The fact CNN employs Toobin and allows him to speak of others’ character is laughable.
I get having a disagreement with your boss but instead of fighting I’m just going to resign, I don’t get why this people aren’t fighting for the America people but instead just giving up.
Unprecedented number of departures, and that with under half the positions filled. Imagine how many more dubious stories there would have been had this administration been fully staffed.
Is it just me, or is Sarah Huckabee Sanders trying to be unemployed for the rest of her life? The amount of horse-manure she spews from that podium is unbelievable. Its truly incredible to watch.

Jake Tapper imitating Seb Gorka’s phony British accent = priceless
Cohn. Money matters, not Morals.
rexdink. Shit in this country he is right.
"Throw a Tent over this Circus!"

Clown News Network. Greetings from Russia!
Tony Mahoney, We know you Russian trolls are against the free press, you prefer Putin owned media like RT.
Cohn got his tax break for his friends, thats all he ever wanted. Didn't have a care for anything else, why hang around? Job done!
Every other industrialized nation can pull off universal health care. That this one can't is nothing less than disgraceful.
Agree, people like Cohn do not care about morel or other people, otherwise there where not ultra rich, only evil people getting ultra rich, pay there workers as less as possible, just enough so they do not revolve against the elite.
TheBase1aransas ...lol...this new law has my costs doubled and my copay up 180%. Not happy😕
I P DHH

Lol, Jake Tapper imitating Sebastian Gorka was hilarious
Dude, when did he get that dope-ass mug?
it is obvious you have a low comedy threshold, trapmouth is a joke as is cnn.
Tapper's Gorka @2:55 - Priceless
Trump 2020..20 indictments..20 years each
trampusa11 You have 7 more years of witty jokes. Pace yourself.
I think he needs a few cabinet members. Maybe you should fill out an application...if you can spell your name right I think you're in
But try not to use any big words
Besides I thought he was gonna president for life
trampusa11 lmfao
All this winning is making me trophy sick.....
i don't think Flynn lied to Pence … Pence was in on it from the beginning ...
In on what?
In on what?
See, Here In The Real World We Require Actual Accusations Corroborated By Relevant Evidence Thereof.
Cohn got his tax cuts, now back to Goldman Sachs.
The same people who despised Obama all these years now bring him up as a comparison when they can't explain or defend an issue with Trump. 😂😂😂😂 gorka impression.....high five Jake Tapper! 😂😂😂
Mr. 'I pick the best people' Trump still has his big red button, and is still a stable genius. Are we tired of winning so much, folks?
And are the Q-balls still salivating and rubbing their hands together imagining 15,000 sealed indictments that aren't and a global pedo ring with imaginary children?
Ken Albertsen ,
yes!
So tired of winning trumps games!
Ken Albertsen the problem is the damage done.....we are going to pay for....even jail for a million years what about the rest of us.....
Ken Albertsen
The winning started December 12 with the Alabama Senate race. It will continue on with the Republican massacre in November, then two long years of work to rid the government of the GOP scourge. When we finally have a real president, yes, THEN I'll be tired.
Trump's 'best people' are leaving, one way or another, in total disgrace. Geez, do you think Trump is a bad judge of character?
Gorka impression on point. 10/10
Positively Brill
jake tapper needs to get a spin off web series where he does impressions
2:56 Gorka impression on point.
Working near Trump is like washing dishes with a dirty oily rag - it soils everyone it touches.
That was a haiku
Ken Albertsen 😁
your wife's rag is just as nasty
Ken Albertsen ...good analogy!!
Jose Villasenor Not if your prognostication skills are on par with your literacy level.
The tariffs are what made him leave? Lol
Ok, I hate the tariff idea, but if the President claims (not agreeing or disagreeing that is up to judge) it is for national security the President does have authority to impose tariffs. cheap grace, I agree but I must also say this is not a new issue. It has been growing for many decades. Like you I hope it stops.
The Republican party is quite frankly just vacant at this point and the Democratic party can't seem to stick together....on anything. Tariffs have never been good. Nor have trade wars which is basically what tariffs are. It will cost us. All of us.

cheap grace I concur except one thing. Not all democrats are wanting that. The smears out of the dccc prove that.
That Gorka impression, lol
I think the more important question should be: "Why would ANYONE in Trump's White House, actually want to stay?"
Another one bites the dust
Hahahahaha lmao another one is gone this is embarrassing
LOL the little dishes and insults Tapper peppered through this video were hilarious.

Trump is soon going to be voted off the island
I like how dismissive Toobin is regarding the rights of Aluminum. Aluminum is the N-word of the non-ferrous metals. It's time we stood up and recognized this historical wrongs that were done to Aluminum.
drmodestoesq ...if I die, wrap me up in aluminum...lay me down on a bed of nonferrous metals, take me to the nearest recycling center...

Pretty Accountant* That was awesome 😂. Can't forget he also said "your Comie" It always cracks me up when he randomly says shit like that. I was in tears the other day when he said "I'm just a different breed of cat" 🤣

*Only six more yrs of swampdraining to go!!! Can't stop the trump*
He did say he can fix it all by himself. but the problem is that near everyone is gone and everything is still broken.
Bye Felicia
I can’t wait for the movie in 2025
AND THEY ALL FALL DOWN.........
Why? Is a meaningless question. Educated people should know that. How? Is the legitimate question....why is irrelevant
If you look at any employment where there's a turn over of staff, its usually down to bad management.
Yeah, that gorka impression is funny AF! he killin the improv for sure😄sick😷
Are we just ignoring the Minecraft mug?
Who are they replacing these people with? That's another question. To my knowledge of administration has not been at full staff the whole year. This is worse than we think.
Jakes Sebastian Gorka impression was more like Sebastian Dundee, haha.
Soon The White House will be as empty as a Nickelback concert.
The Gorka impersonation was good.
Nobody jump off a perfectly fine ship, just sinking ones .
Where exactly does the tariff money go?
"Why are they leaving?"
They walked into a swamp and have found themselves becoming covered in suffocating mud and for their survival they have to leave, while they can.
Sure thing, I’ll make sure to keep my ear to the rail regarding new people in the WH who might try to misuse their position in the government for personal gain. That’s so heinous! Gosh, we haven’t seen that kind of depravity yet! Thanks for the warning!
Cohn made his pitch...giving billions to the Super rich! He can now leave in peace!
It is not as much the landslide of exits that is the problem, it is the fact some never were paid employees of the White House and yet were able to walk the halls, have security clearance and advise the President. Sean Spicer! Damn! That felt like ages ago!
The only people happy about this merry-go-round are the desk and door name plate manufacturers.
It's like watching a game show. 😭
Whoever doesn't agree with Trump will resign. Its simple as that. Its hard to work for a person like Trump. Its all about Him. 😳
Trump from swamp to white house
Tapper pulls out his Sebastian Gorka impression? You're killin' me, Tapper! Can't wait to hear your "Trump"!
Well obviously who can work everyday on that very incompetent and working place??? How tragic!!!
Yes Sarah it is abnormal.....it’s criminal even.....gross
If SNL doesn't spoof this segment, then why are they even on air anymore LMAO!!!
I almost wet my pants when he did the Gorka impression 😂
Is this legal,if only a president is left is this Dictatorship ,
They should ask Sanders when is she leaving
I didn't realise that Jake Tapper could do a superb Gorka impression!
...Did Tapper say something...? I didn't think so...
That's just the swamp draining
I love the "Mooch colorful remarks got him fired after 11 days"
@Coloredspaces
I get having a disagreement with your boss but instead of fighting I’m just going to resign, I don’t get why this people aren’t fighting for the America people but instead just giving up.
Yes, but Tapper you didn't explain away Hillary's emails.
Unprecedented number of departures, and that with under half the positions filled. Imagine how many more dubious stories there would have been had this administration been fully staffed.
The "exiters" are the lucky ones. Those, still loyal to their Master, will have to answer later. Worse to come!
Honestly there should be resignations more often. Lincoln went through a few generals before he found the right one.
Trump has had more staff turnover in the shortest period of time since Caligula. Oh, I ache for those simpler times. (lol...hahahahaha)
Keep them honest Jake. We depend on you and your colleagues.
Self-draining swamp
It's a CURSE!
"It's not who stops watching CNN, it's why"
Jake Tapper deserves an award for that Gorka imitation. LMAO.
History will be the judge
Aye the Mooch.. badda bing!
lol @ Tapper's accent for Gorka.
