This product spotlight features a recent release from Otter Valley Railroad - the HO Scale NSC 6400 scrap gondolas! These models are exquisitely detailed, highly accurate models of a modern prototype that can be found on the rails today.
    From the OVRTrains website:
The NSC 64Ft Gondola is used mainly in the construction and waste disposal industries hauling waste to transfer sites. Additional users use it for light to medium density steel and other scrapping materials from scrapper/ shrearer to end user. Cars can be seen found all over North America in either unit train or manifest train service.

I have 4 of these cars so far and plan on getting many more. They are fantastic looking. They also have a 6000 cubic foot gondola and a unique looking bulkhead flatcar coming soon.

    John great review! 👍🤙👏👏👏
Haven't seen so detailed underframes for quite some time. Superb!!!👏👏👏🤙👍
    🤔For you and Wolfgang548:
Only doubt is if the brake hoses get tangled when running the cars through siding turnoffs.
Which is minimum radius to run these cars?, and onto a siding?
    Cheers from 🇦🇷 Argentina

Unfortunately, Lorne had to put out a repair video for these cars as they tend to rock back and forth.

It's a simple fix to the issue. Other than that these models look fantastic. Athearn announced them as well but I went with OVR on this one since they beat Athearn to the punch.

I refuse to do business with OVR for the many screw ups I've experienced with them. Buyer beware. Know who you're doing business with as well, especially with mail-order. I'd prefer to have nothing from them.

@@chrisdaniell2990 the girls that work there are so nice, and easy to deal with., I have only had one issue with a Aurora model from that store, and they were quick to try and fix that issue,. couldn't so they just replaced it for me ., no other questions asked.,

@@sparky107107 Problem with Otter and any other mail order businesses... when problems arise, you're the one paying for shipping to get it back to them. Then, whether man/woman, nice/not nice, doesn't matter... business is business and it should be valued. There should be no "issues". While Otter remedied my purchase experience each time (three times total) I can't support a business that messes up this often. Lorne is a salesman first and foremost and he'll say anything to get you to part with your money - that's business. They're not your friend no matter how many times they smile at you. "Expert testimonials" will not save this car from the hard facts either. Hey, at least Lorne acknowledged the shortcomings... I'll give him that much.
