The Galaxy S10+ is an excellent phone. The Galaxy S9+, is also an excellent phone, even a year later. This video was made to answer the question, is it worth the upgrade in the simplest way possible. The S10+ sports a new, refreshed design with a larger display, thinner bezels, and of course, the latest and greatest processor, GPU, 2GBs extra RAM, and double the storage in the base model at 128GB. All the of the core features remain, IP68 dust/water resistance, stereo speakers, headphone jack, fast wireless charging 2.0, software features that include Digital Wellbeing, Bixby Routines, and more. Some other additions the S10+ has made are extra cameras. The best addition in my eyes is the ultra wide angle camera. The cameras themselves are of course improved, but they're not vastly better than the S9+'s. Bottom line, the S10+ provides stronger, faster performance packed into a newer, more modern design, and in my eyes, it is well worth the upgrade.

No matter how many upgrades are done, no flagship is worth upgrading year on year unless on contract or you have too much money. Makes sense upgrading once in 2-3years.
Yeah those days are long gone. Phones are too expensive and mostly are great so no need to change them on an annual basis unless you have deep pockets.

I just upgraded to the s10plus and I regret it so much. I feel like the battery drains faster and I've only had it for 15 hours. I hate the camera cutout and the fingerprint reader is so much slower. Definitely keep the s9 100%

Sure, the SN 855 is more powerful and faster than the SN 845 but only by 5%, just that and other features that have extra S10+ that surely for the majority is less important unless you are a fan of the camera wide angle and want to have more than 128gb of storage space (if you get it to fill xD). In conclusion, the S9+ has nothing to envy to these S10's, since you want to give yourself the luxury of trying an S10+ is another thing perok to this day a S9+ offers you a performance almost at the same time as an S10+ with a little lower price. Not exactly, because you see what you are essentially making clear that while you are taken by the S10 ,the thing is that ,the moment the next Samsung comes out ,say the S11 , you'll make a similar video detailing why an upgrade from S10 to S11 is worrh it.
So it not the new features basically that entice , coz of course novelty has to be there in successive models or what's the point ; it's actually the newness of attractive hardware complemented by a superficially tweaked software and the desire to possess the latest and greatest that is so compelling.
But the question for normal people is that if you upgrade to an S10 what do you do with the 900 bucks S9 that you just got last year because once you get used to S10 or iphone XS max ,you won't go back to using the X or S9 plus. Just won't feel like but then these are fucking expensive devices costing more than good laptops and in an year ..gone obsolete..
And its much worse for Android because then there isn't just the S10 ,there are the Huwaei mates and One plus and one plus pro and lg thinq and sony and then google gets in the fray with the fucking pixel and even as you are unwrapping that wobderful new pixel device Samsung hits back with a revolutionary S12.!!!!!
This is tiring and wasteful and misleading and mobile phone companies are just leveraging desire to fatten their pockets.

I noticed that ugly black mark! That’s hideous. I was told the s9plus is an amazing phone and not worth updating to the 10 and not much different. I think I will buy the one I found!
Terrible reason there are plenty of apps that can hide if it's that big of deal hell you can even go in settings and enable that ugly notch you like so much if you miss so much s10 gives you plenty of options.
On the s10 and s10e the hole punch isn’t that noticeable but yeah the the s10 plus has an ugly look

@@chiranth1881 from 5 hours to 6:30 and same time 7, about 50% to 75% brightness, but I dont playing games often, and if I want to play plug it in Dex mode its better for gaming, and battery charging good with me it takes 1 hour to fully charge, ( Note: i dont keep my phone less than 15% ).
my s9+ is doing great, except for the battery and also, the camera's not the best. But overall, it still beats most other flagship smartphones out there. Waiting for the Note 10. Will get it once s11 series is released.
Hopefully I can upgrade from my s7 to an s10+

Still rocking the S9 Plus and for 2019 its still a very good phone no doubt.

@@mattlikeshistory6419 playing gives me about 4 hours battery life and it really gets hot. For 2 years the battery definitely needs a replacement. I wouldn't last a day without plugging it in and I always leave my data on.

I appreciate all these videos and the time people take to make them to try to help and inform others and also make some side cash. I just wanted to say an extra thank you for this video because I finally found my dream phone which is the S10plus. I snatched a brand new in box sealed for $500!!! Thank goodness or I would have went with the blue S9plus and that was $700! So months of research, videos like this, patience, and having faith scored me a phone that will hopefully work for my personal and business needs and will I pray last until the S12/13 comes out. And I am still wanting to try the fold out phone from both companies. But that’s a long shot those I bet will forever be expensive. I’m waiting on my beauty as we speak and I can’t wait to leave these iPhones in the past!!! Thank you to all that commented as well. I upgraded from the s9+ to the s10+ and it kinda doesn't seem like worth the upgrade. There's actually things I miss having like the actual fingerprint scanner that can pull down the notifications on the back. It was super responsive and felt like magic, whereas the inscreen fingerprint scanner feels like it doesn't love me. I know why they had to get rid of the iris scanner but that was also the shit, it worked even in the dark for me. My s10+ also actually seems a bit buggy. I haven't installed any launchers or nothing but certain apps aren't working too great and I miss my old phone sometimes. I cant play music without keeping the screen on, and I got just as good battery life from both phones; all day
Man's sure you go to display settings and turn on touch screen sensitivity. I felt the fingerprint reader was pretty iffy at first, but now I rarely get a misread. I upgraded from an S8
The trick with the fingerprint sensor is to put your same print in like 3 times and you will see the difference mines is super fast.
the best place for fingerprint is the back not the front and also to pull down notifications is very useful
no matter is it ultrasonic or not or whatever
samsung makes changes on phones just to make changes not to satisfy the logic
@@topprogrammingtv Not really a problem having a fingerprint scanner on the front I've had them my entire life on the front till i switched to the S9+ and I've never had problems with any of them

I have the S9+ and upgraded from the Z2 Force... for me having the head phone jack cameras with stabilized optimization and almost no bezels and the snapdragon 845 was a huge upgrade... I absolutely love this phone and I won't upgrade for the next 3 yrs

I had the 9+ for almost a year. An excellent performer. But I pre-ordered the 10+. Why, I never thought the display could be improved, well it has. The larger battery, I get 6to7 SOT which is very good for me. Improved cameras, the super steady mode is terrific. Also the wide angle lense. So in my opinion it was worth the money & upgrade. The s9+ is still a great buy and can be had alot cheaper, which matters to most!

@@jlopez0027 my parents have the S9+ and the battery life is really good, it can last maybe more than a day depending on the usage patterns. It can last even more with power saving on!

Major upgrades tends to occur every 2 to 3 years, and even more years by the fact that older flagships from 3 years or more are still capable of everything the newer ones. So I'll be keeping with the note 8, I think it still being a more than capable phone for everything. Maybe from now to 1 or 2 years more will start to suffer in every aspect.
I make a final and very simple question for you: Does your phone still performing very snappy with a little or nothing of lag?

I think it's worth the upgrade from the s9 to the s10+ I used my standard s9 not + variant for a year now and I love it but when I recieved my s10+ I absolutely love it more that ultra wide camera is a beast and absolutely love it! And battery life is exciting lasts me the whole day.
So I just recently upgraded to the S9+ and honestly I am super satisfied and don't feel I missed out by not waiting for the S10 SO has given me everything I could have wanted
I hope they do an "iPhone SE" strategy with the body of the s9, with upgraded specs, that would be soooo good
Thanks for the information. I'm not a super user and the 9+ has worked just fine. I think I'll save a few bucks and wait for the next upgrade to see if anything really groundbreaking. I will just have to look at my cracked screen for a little while longer.

I'm happy with my S9+. Accurate fingerprint sensor, secure iris scanner, clean display and of course with Android 8. Samsung ux was clean and user friendly. This is my last Samsung.

I wouldn't want a phone with one missing pixel. These s10 owners act like its cool to be missing 400. Same ones laughing at iPhones with notches a year ago. Even had commercials. Still has bezel at bottom. There are better Chinese phones if want to go bezelless without a notch or punchole.

I just upgraded from s9+ to s10+ but the only reason was i "destroyed" my s9+ accidently dropped and cracked front glass with minor lcd damages :(
I absolutely loved the s9+, and i didnt want to change for like 2 more years maybe 1, but this "thing" happened. And i was hasitated a little, but choosed to upgrade.
The 10+ its amazing, better overall, but if you ask the same about s9+ i would say the same, its an amazing phone, still! And my heart broke when i saw the shattered screen.
If you want a superb smartphone, which is future proof for a couple more years, and you dont have money for s10, then dont hasitate to buy the s9 or s9+. Those phones are still beast, and worth the money.

Since i don't have either one of them, I guess I'll just go for the 10 or 10 plus. Plus I found an s10 for $730 and s10+ for $800 on eBay

What weather widget is that on s10+?!
I compared the screen of my old S7edge to a S9. Although S7edge has a great screen, the CZcams video I watched had a more „3D-like“ appearance on the S9. It was more cinematic.
Now I have the S10 and made the same comparison. The same HD-CZcams video was better than on the S7edge, but still the S9 looked more 3dimensional. How is this possible?

@@l9kl294 My S5 is still fast. I only use Twitter, FB , and and a few stock trading apps. Suites my needs. I have no bloatware on my device and have disabled a lot of Google Apps that I dont use.
Not sure if an S5 still qualifies as fast. If you don't have many apps installed then it's probably quick enough for your needs, but it's still a 5 year old phone.

@@garrisonsimon a quad core snapdragon 801 is not faster than an 8 core snapdragon 835. I still have my S6 edge, which is also rooted. It's not slow, but it can't keep up with modern phones.
