I'm so glad Kim Chi addressed the lack of variety in black women's beauty products because that's the main reason Coco Montrese looked so "orange", she was using what was available to her at the time

Happy Butt Same with red skin tones. I was "Celtic" skin type when younger - paper white but with a lot of orange/red from freckles. The only way to get any foundation to work was to use green base (expensive & very hard to get) below porcelain foundation. It looked good but was so thick you could carve into it. That was the sole option at the time (20yrs ago) - Clinique Redness Corrector covered with Leichner Camera Clear in Porcelain. Thankfully drag being more valuable, thanks to shows like RPDR, has resulted in far better makeup variety.
RIght! RPDR fans always come hard at the black queens, but it's like have you been to a makeup store? The variety is just not there and you can't just pick up anything because everything doesn't go with dark skin. Black queens should get way more credit and a lot less shade.
I don't get it can you explain. if you're black and use the cosmetics for white ppl, you gonna look strange? I don't get it, I am quite noob when it comes to make up.
Dicho Kusarov it's about the lack of variety in the beauty industry. For example foundation shades, it's harder to find darker skin tones than lighter ones!
Kim Chi is the queen of subtle shade.

This is cool to see a fresh variation on Photo ruview since Unhhhh/BroLaska/Alyssa's secret are all variations of the same core concept with different host pairings. (No shade, I love them all and am definitely on the edge of my seat waiting for Trixie and Katya to return.) It would be cool if Kim and Naomi took a look back and rate some of the James St James looks, and had a few special episodes with guest queens on who are/were professional makeup artists.
