The most beautiful thing about this song is that the title is an answer to a question. The question is at the end of the song where Joel says "I'll ask once more
What are these words worth?" to which the answer is the song title..."Nothing, save the power they're given".

The bass translates the emotion of this song perfectly.
why the bass? it does not play anything special, it goes along with the guitars and when the guitars play melodies it often does not play at all. not to say that is a bad approach, I am just wondering why anybody would single out the bass as the special instrument in this song. it does what it does, and it fits the song.

this is not the biggest art haha. loads of drummers do that, an during songs that are much more complicated and harder to play than this! ;) also, they put the recorded song over the video, what they played in the video is not actually the song you hear in the video. so what do we know, he might have missed the beat! :P
