Ha, I have one of those at the warehouse!!. Well, the playfield NEVER goes up and down, and someone has taped it across the movable playfield and the stationary play field. I might have to take that damn thing apart and see what is up. That is one of my favorite pinball games too :)
@rw913 I have one DR Who that keeps warping. The best I can do is loosen the posts on the side and glue the strap down. It lasts for a few months of play and warps again.
Jeri - littleshopofgames makes a perfect replacement for the spring steel strip. I used a piece of automotive adhesive transfer tape to stick it down and that has worked very well. I also recommend the Cliffy Protector for the front of the Time Expander mini-playfield - passionforpinball. Cliff is also working on a prototype additional DW protector that will overlap the other protector and substitute for the spring steel flap. Testing that one now.
OK, if anyone cares at all, Cliffy has finished the Doctor Who mini-playfield protectors. There is a thicker one that will cover the front edge and a very thin one that replaces the spring steel flap on the top edge. I tested the proto and it' a quality piece. If you want one for your DW pin, go to passionforpinball - they are awesome.
You know what drives me nuts on mine is when the playfield goes down to reset the little target dalek things, the far right one doesn't reset. Like the playfield doesn't go down quite far enough for that rod to reset the right most one.
What would cause my Time Expander playfield to be uneven? The right side is slightly higher than the left and I can't find a mechanical reason as to why this would be (the brackets are mounted flush with the playfield and the cam is assembled correctly). Would adjusting the bottom opto (for the cam gap) help level this?
awwww come on Jeri ! .I dont know much about electronics but fell in love with ya buildin the pure stock,xx

I'm having the EXACT same problem! As well, mine will come to rest a bit off position sometimes. Have you found a solution yet?
