Descendants 4 is out
Tara you can yell at me anytime you want. The Todd
10:35 The irony of you saying that he doesn't get it when it was you that wasn't getting the scene.
He didn't have that look because because he didn't get the joke. It was because he was realizing that the kids were finding it entertaining, so he just decided to go with it.
Went to the comments and instantly left to preserve my love of the team. Don't want to watch people complain for an hour.
Such a shame. The reactors made this super not fun. Oh well plenty of reactors out there who don't take themselves and every single thing so seriously. ✌
Dark humour is vital. There is a reason why surgeons, soldiers and fire fighters have a dark sense of humour.
Very true. Makes me wonder why I do too when I am not any of those.
Wait what? 😂
@@lfherrera5453 I mean... I totally don't have a dark sense of humor as a completely normal, well adjusted, contributing member to society. Better? :)
Ironically this is one of the Jim Carrey movies I rewatch most often. You'd never rewatch it. Wow.
"You must be fun at parties" was invented strictly for these bozos 😂😂😂
I think I prefer Liar Liar
@@sketchycat6223I agree. However this movie is his most under appreciated, It’s a crime how much this movie flew under the radar
"This is so 90's" ... That's exactly why it's so good!
The really great thing about this movie is that even though Charlie KNOWS those aren't his kids.....they're STILL his boys and he lives them like it. And they love him too. Even Hank doesn't do anything to them.
In real life he would be considered a chump cuck. Raising another mans children is pathetic.
remember both of the real parents were professors, that is why the kids are so smart.
Maybe it's because I'm from the 90s, but it was kind of annoying to constantly hear "its very 90s" or anything similar. Its not a 90s thing, it was the script, JC, and the director's choices. Back when it was released the same things you thought were 90's were also weird for the time, because it is that type of movie.
The music was very 90s
@@christoperwallace6197this movie was from the year 2000. The 90s were over
@@nsasupporter7557 the 90's feel lingered for a bit. And it may have been filmed in 99.
how can someone whine thru this entire movie? so 90s.. it's crazy
glad the comments disagree with the feelings of the reactors on this one...Farrelly brothers movies are some of the funniest..
I'll still subscribe, but I'm not even bothering watching pre 2010. I'm surprised they left this embarrassment up tbh.
Half the time I can't tell if reactors are pretending to not like things to be safe. People watch reactors to see them enjoy the things we love about the movie, not constantly talk about how it can't be funny today because it's insensitive.
@@rmrfbucket preachhhh
@@rmrfbucketI don't believe 39 year old Tara Erickson truly gives AF about this style of comedy 😂
@@rmrfbucketI thought people were watching reactors for their REAL reactions. I guess I'm the only one.
Seriously, I'm watching reactors for a DIFFERENT reaction than mine, sometimes sharing a little trivia or an experience of their own.
I think the boys were supposed to be in college not high-school. Quantum physics felt like a give away
No one in the movie said they were in high school. I also figured they were University students. What high school teaches Quantum Physics? Come on.
Have you actually seen the movie??? There is a whole argument between the boys about the muscular one "only" recently getting a 1400 on his SAT's and likely not going to be accepted into Ivy League universities. It also starts off in "present day" stating Charlie was an 18 year veteran and saying he was "the best new officer on the force" in the wedding flashback.
- I've seen a few comments like yours and honestly am confused that people aren't getting the boys are clearly in high school and 16 or 17 at the oldest. Rewatch if its been awhile and it'll be really obvious, I promise.
Regarding film’s music, Charlie has Advanced delusionary schizophrenia with involuntary narcissistic rage, so the music is just as chaotic and random as he is.
no offense to these 2 people that react to movies on this channel but they seem to both be a bit oblivious when it comes to mostly everything going on in any movie they watch.
@@MrB0Obs I love this movie (one thing that me and myself both agree on lol), yeah I get what your saying, seen how in other reactions they have done they just miss stuff or just don’t understand what’s happening lol, but hey thats what it’s all about getting different reactions or opinions and this is their’s, I enjoy all the Reel Reject reactions good, bad or indifferent, love from a uk reject✌🏻🇬🇧
Im as Woke as the next person but i am so tired of people being so offended by everything
You're offended, understood.
The cow wasn't real, guys.
Are you sure? It looked real and even moved like a real cow. I think it was a trained cow and the gun had blanks.
@@dunhill1 🤣
@dunhill1 Poor damn thing has PTSD for sure now 😥😥😥
Clearly animatronic.
The 90s called. They said sorry you suck. Try not to look through the lens of 2024 when you're watching classic comedies....
This movie was from the year 2000
I love when these classic movies have y’all in your feelings. You “wish Irene really did have a masters.” lol okay.
That was the best one 😂😂😂😂😂
There is a cut scene where the farmer that owns the cow stops them a couple miles down the road. The cow loved to nap in the road, it wasn't hit by anything. He shot a perfectly healthy/happy cow. They also make a joke about it later where the cow is wrapped in bandages.
That's freaking hilarious😂😂😂😂 He liked to nap on the road 😂😂😂
This is Jim Carrey at his best. Change my mind!
Ace Ventura pet detective might be a little better
@@paulcoulonjr Bro, it's VERY close! I still think this one is still better. The physical comedy is next level! The way Hank picked up Charlie was too realistic.
This is one of my favorite Jim Carrey movies. This is his best physical comedy performance. A real legit Oscar winning performance But I think Ace Ventura was his funniest performance.
The cable guy for me
@mynameisnotearl4383 The medieval fight was amazing, especially singing the dramatic music along with dramatic music actually playing and pretty much breaking the fourth wall. I'll give you that, but the jokes in that movie didn't land with me. I just think Carrey can perform at optimum efficiency if he gets to act in an R-rated comedy movie. I believe, through that rating, he can express exactly what makes him funny: raunchy, physical comedy. Good try, though!
The scene where Charlie asks the boys for a kiss was a adlib you can see the other actors take a second and the. Decide to go with it and kiss Jim Carrey on the cheek
Might I suggest covering 'Liar Liar' (1997), at some point? Jim Carrey is beyond hilarious in it. 🧡
The claw!!!!
The blue pen scene is masterful.
@@DanielTorres_999 Toy Story - It's like connect the movies
@@joeblankenship377 and also I hold myself in contempt scene.
With all due respect, they were beyond annoying in this one. They'll ruin another great 90's movie.
Damn it sucks they weren’t feeling this Ik they couldn’t handle sex drive😭😭🤣
We could have a drinking game where we take a shot every time you say "This is so 90s." Jesus you're as bad as those other reactors that overuse "campy."
When were yall born? I remember loving this soundtrack, especially Cake and Third Eye Blind tracks.
Yeah i dont understand the hate for the music, i think its fucking great.
It's a good movie, but is it 90s? I don't know. It seems so 90's to me. I mean it was so 90's, right? Did you notice how 90's it was? Not sure if you agreed it was so 90's.
Exactly! Annoying af.
90’s is basically code for funny.
At one point they weren't even sure it was from the 90's. They leave themselves open for ball busting sometimes because it's obvious they aren't fully invested in what they're watching. That's why I'm always skeptical of their little hiccup in the nightmare on elm marathon, where Tara and Roxy somehow mistook the 2010 remake for the 5th one that came out in 89. How could they not know lol? They rented the movie, they can see everything, the year is usually added above the synopsis. It's more indicative of how little they actually care about what they're watching.
@@jaredfalk7701 I was unaware
@@Lava91point0 I guess that's fair, when you have to watch movies that you don't care to watch. I have the same problem on my channel, but my 10 subs don't seem to notice hahah
Can Greg, John or anyone else take over for these 2? Time and time again she talks over the movie asking questions the film is literally answering at that moment. Same time he makes attempts to agree with everything she says. Validating instead of discussing.
Come on bro, every man knows what causes rogue pee streams in the morning.
That's exactly what I was thinking. After you've ejaculated, the remaining jizz inside the urethra settles and when it's time to pee, that remaining jizz causes the pee stream to exit at angles and not straight. That's why I used to pee in the shower instead of the wall and all over the toilet. Just common knowledge from experiences of spicy escapades. Perhaps the reviewers are both virgins; it's possible.
This movie is absolutely brilliant!
Its hilarious how modern movie viewers are nitpicking things in older movies that u never even think about before. Dont watch farrelly brothers movies or any comedies before the year 2010 if u get offended by these "tropes"
IKR. Ppl are so weak today.
Exactly soft gen
Comedy used to so fun, this current gen changed that for the worse. It started with good intentions, and turned into hate for everything that isn't politically correct 🙄
I guess it’s kind of like if you watch a really old film that includes a lot of uncomfortable racism, slavery, and sexism, or child actors in dangerous or sexual situations, and hardcore drug use, you might feel like it goes too far and that it’s not for you. Then others will call you soft for not liking the film. It’s all subjective and based on our own personal views and opinions.
@@yomamma359 they mentioned they were a bit uncomfortable by some of the jokes and the subject matter too. It wasn’t just about being funny or not. But yes, it’s mostly about it being funny or not to them.
One of my favorite things about this movie was Charlie and his kids the dynamic worked so well.
I’m so bummed I thought you guys would be loosing your minds on this movie, shame ah well love you Jimbo xx
I literally stopped watching after the 10th "90s" comment. Calm down
Yall are trippen this movie funny af and ive watched it many times
Sorry but you assumed the kids were in high school. No one ever said that. I'm 99% sure that they were University students, which would also be in step with them looking like men and not teens.
The movie clearly stated Charlie was an 18 year veteran and ALREADY an officer in the flashback. The boys also argue over which universities will be accepting them (The whole Duke/SAT scene) They're 100% supposed to be teenagers (16-17). It's not even arguable.
I also think you and anyone liking the comment has NOT actually seen the movie😂😂😂. I'm not trying to be a jerk, but their ages are referenced clearly (even in this shortened reaction).
What decade did the two of you grow up in? Im guessing the 80's or 90's
this is like someone's grandma had to babysit a neighbor's grandson 'case they busted a hip and had to go to the hospital but being in the hospital with a busted hip would be more pleasurable that sitting through this reaction. "agreed". this reaction is so 90's. good luck with the channel greg.
what does the so 90s mean
I dont think you guys should react to other 90s 2000s comedy movies. Almost none of them will be "Appropriate" for your standards, this movie is basically the Bechtel test for comedy of the time.
This comment is 100% perfection, and I've read them all.
I rewatch this movie whenever it's on. It's hilarious and I 😂😂😂 the entire time.
This movie is loved on the EAST COAST! Thanks guys I appreciate your reaction.
The total 180 on the soundtrack and score was in part another way to show the idea of the split personality.
Which has nothing to do with schizofrenia. It's a wide misconception.
@@Gurra88 something tells me a wild comedy with Jim Carrey isn't going for medical accuracy 🙄
Laughing the whole movie "Not a great movie" "90s, 90s". Correction it's a comedy.
My parents got this movie when I was a kid and I saw this waaay to young lmao. I adored Jim Carrey for his physical comedy.
😂The most cringy thing about this is the constant 90’s comment and saying this is outdated. The sensitivity really came out in this one. Just do everyone a favor and don’t react to anything before 2010. This was peak comedy for everyone in this movie and everything about this movie was great.
I seriously was about to post the same thing...and the fact the guy had no idea what was going on with him in the morning bathroom scene was sad ridiculous
‘And a cop nonetheless”. What are you trying to say?
Dude anytime a cop is on screen in any of these movies they immediately shit talk. Unfortunately they have the virus that makes you think a huge portion of police are corrupt or just shitty. Not just normal people doing a job and trying to help
If I remember right Carrey acrually fractured his ankle from that stunt on the theme park.
I'm a fan of every Jim Carrey film, but this one is my fav. I especially loved the soundtrack and thought it fit perfectly. I wish there was a sequel that focused on Hank and his sons
FUN FACT: The scene where Charlie tells the boys to kiss him was totally unscripted. Jim Carrey improvised it on the spot and the boys went right with it and kissed him without breaking character. When Jim Carrey tells you to kiss him you just go with it and do as he says!😂😂😂
I enjoyed your reaction team!
I will say there's been an evident shift between just reacting and enjoying to just critiquing but that hasn't stopped me from supporting you and I've personally seen less of it in recent reactions - so that means you are reading comments and adjusting, so kudos!
If you are reading this - Ignore the haters, some people just can't get over themselves after hearing things they may disagree with - You are one of the best reaction channels on this platform - Keep it up.
24 years ago Feels like Yesterday.
This is a classic people don’t talk about a lot 🤣🤣”u swallow”🤣
I thought the sound track the movie was great . I thought it fit the moment just fine
All the jokes and comedy aside this movie just does so wonderfully showing unconditional love for his kids. Blood doesnt make you a good father.
YESSSS. Been after every channel to do this. EASILY Jim’s best/most unknown/underrated performances
Who doesn't love fried chicken?
If you don't think this is funny then you have no sense of humor.
Or maybe this just wasn't funny to them and their sense of humor jives better with other comedies. It's called personal preference.
^^^^^ No, its annoying young reactors that feel the need to shame anything they find offensive. I like this channel, but holy crap they ruined this one. I wasn't even going to comment til I saw most saying the same thing this one did.
@@clevelandcbi just because a joke comes from a dated time, does not mean it is exempt of criticism. You find the movie funny? Cool. You do you. But art is subjective and if you’re that hard pressed because some reactors on CZcams don’t vibe with what you find funny, maybe get off the internet.
@@cinematicgoodness7325No, I just won't watch reactions from these 2 specific people when it comes to older comedies. They're clearly going to hate a certain type, so I'll use that hour I lost today to watch something I'll actually enjoy while still subscribing. Win/win for both of us.
@@clevelandcbi not all older comedies were directed by the Farrelly brothers. Even then, there’s a few films of theirs that might jive better with these two like “There’s Something About Mary” which unlike “Me Myself and Irene” was a critical darling.
Sucks because I like them, but might have to skip when it’s just them since I believe comedy shouldn’t be censored or edited because of the “times”
I hope he puts down the cow quickly 😂😂
I am so glad you're reacting to this it's one of my favourite films ❤
This movie is beyond inappropriate, insane and gross LOL and I love it! The whistling nose STILL cracks me up every single time. Renee and Jim were perfectly cast too.
Lol as a child of the 90’s… all of the things you guys didn’t like were the reasons we all loved it🥴
It is very much of the times. We just have a different relationship with humor and comedy. The 3 sons were the highlight of the movie lol
Speaking of Jim’s physical acting, watch at 50:58. That old school hood-slide he does is legit perfect. I wonder how many takes it took? But you see his focus and confidence in the scene that i bet it was one take. Jim Carrey is a legend
YES! It’s time for everybody to pull their heads outta their asses and see that he’s the greatest comedian of all time… he even tops Robin Williams
If they don't like it, then is ok. As long as we like it, that's all that matters.
This is why we don’t have raunchy comedies anymore this younger generation are way too sensitive.
Thats what political correctness did
We still have raunchy comedies, just not as often. Strays and No Hard Feelings just came out last year. And still many dark comedies that are very good, like Poor Things. There are still audiences for all genres and categories.
Younger generation? this chick seems 45 years old....not that young to me lol
can't believe you two didn't like every second of this movie 🤯 it's such a classic.
That's what the woke mind virus does to formerly functioning brains.
This movie is a banger an I definitely stole a few lines for my everyday life.
Did they catch the post credits scene?
That dry mouth scene is peak comedy 😂
So is 9/11
The cow scene takes me out no matter how many times I see it
What's the best Multiple-Perosnality Performance??
THE GREAT REVEREND TYLER DURDEN
Sally Field in Sybil and Shelley Long in Voices Within.
Michael Keaton in multipltcity
Schizofrenia has nothing to do with multiple personalities. For fuck's sake.
James McAvoy in Split.

Unless I'm too late, skip this reaction. But yes I 100% agree.
@@clevelandcbi I love this movie so I already watched it lol atleast they know the feelings it was channeling. This movie deserves a deep dive

you remember correctly, Tara, but they did not just date though, they were engaged.
You should watch Police Academy 2 😅

Yea essentially all these reactors are Cali liberals
The first day when I went to grad school I moved into my room and the internet wouldn't work and I didn't have a TV, so I walked to the movie theater and watched this movie.
They should just remove this reaction cause they’re just complaining about everything. “Look at them walk. So 90s… look at them act. So 90s…”
Don't be so dense. It's just a difference of opinion. Those things exist. They didn't like it. That's ok.
They were scared to like it. There's a huge difference. ^^^^^^ There was a group of dudes basically shaming Crocodile Dundee for SA lol.
@@clevelandcbi no. They went in pretty enthusiastically wanting to enjoy the film. It just wasn’t funny enough for their liking. They didn’t exactly hate it either, it just wasn’t their cup of tea.
