Even though I'm hardcore PC user and don't use any consoles, I can tell that this was a GODLY level of work integrating water-cooling on such level into PS5. Magnificent!

way way better in terms of what exactly? To be honest I dont get why anyone would do this.... its not like its going to produce better performance... unless by performance you mean temperature, which I personally dont give a shit. PS5 stock is already silent. If it gets warmer than this thing here, beats me... who cares really. As long as it is quiet and performing as intended it can burn inside for all I care. And to the OP, dont misunderstand me, I enjoyed the technical aspects of this kit and you did a fine meticulous work. This comment is aimed specifically at the "way way better" part.
Not often I see amazing work being done like this. Not just the water colling, but the complete redesign too.

All the individual parts (not assembled) would easily be over 1000 euros just to have them produced, not the selling price.

Amazing work
Great craftmanship! I feel the radiator and the fans are underperforming, for two reasons. 1. All the hot air is blowing back on the system instead of escaping away from it. 2. The output air flow is heavily limited by the small gap between the radiator and the aluminum plate. Those can be easily fixed by flipping 180 degrees the fan/radiator stack so the fans are below and increasing the gap. Looks good keep it up!

The thing I love about this the most is the design, its one thing for the design to be somewhat practical but it's another thing to make it look 1000x better than the original. Great work I love it!

Really nice, definitely need to address those small thermal pads on memory chips from factory. Once my warranty expires on my PS5 Ill be doing some changes for better thermals. Thank you for the breakdown in temperature.
Only problem is the contact point of the memory modules on the aluminum plate is round. That makes changing them pointless as you're not gonna increase surface contact by replacing thermal pads. Honestly don't know why Sony made that design flaw but whatever
He should sell this kit in DIY. so any can change is PS-5 to liquid cooled

I wish I could go back in time and see this video as a kid and be as inspired as I am right now. Everyone should show this video to their kids and attempt to inspire them so we can have more people on this planet like these guys.

Wow, this is something else. You could get this product looking even factory-like and stock, whilst keeping all the cool elements(pun intended). Not a bad idea to sell this as a kit, especially in this watercooling craze.

Modding Cafe: replacing liquid metal with thermal paste for the water block*
Sony liquid metal: Am I a joke to you?
I was wondering why he replaced liquid metal , can someone tell me why?
@@NegaTive337 My best guess is that Sony made a REALLY close calculation on the original heatsink so that it's just barely able to cool the PS5. Liquid metal is a better heat conductor than thermal paste. When your cooler is just barely able to cool the chip, you need to move as much heat away from the chip as possible.
Watercooling on the other hand is SO overkill for the APU that thermal paste is enough. Watercooling doesn't give the chip a chance to heat up anyways because it just simply has "too much" cooling capacity. The original cooler is made to save money and thus it doesn't cool as well. Therefore every tiny bit of improvement has to be squeezed out. Even if that means using a better thermal interface material between the chip and the heatsink.
@@detroxx56784 bingo! Plus if you combine both strategies we can push a CPU/APU and or GPU to its limits.
So on their next project, could they re-use the original liquid metal and adapt it to work with the water cool setup? I’m trying to avoid the red ring of death that the Xbox had due to the properties of the thermal paste eventually degrading over time.
@@NegaTive337 another reason could be that liquid metal is not good for long term as it erodes the metal

@@georgeghazi18 yes I did I tried to buy one I even said how nervous I was because I don't have much money at all and I paypaled it to them as a purchase and they kept asking over and over to send it as a gift not as a purchase because if I did a purchase then they wouldn't get the money until I received the item so I should have known it was a scam but they kept saying that they couldn't ship it unless I gifted them the money because they didn't have money for Shipping and I had to call PayPal and get the money put back in my account and the second I sent them the money they literally just said thank you bye and deleted there whatsapp number and like I said I am dumb and should have known but yea they robbed me for $800 and now are acting like they didn't and if you read there other messages on the other ps5 videos they claim that they don't give out there email or whatsapp so obviously I am lying but they gave you there email and they are obviously trying to scam hella people but yea they won't send me the item they are just acting like we never spoke when we were talking for 3 days before I sent them the $800 they are straight crooks and I've been reporting them and you should also because this is messed up

Kit? It’s all custom made, if you had a CNC machine you could contact them for the schematics but other than that you couldn’t make this

@@vq35deALTIMA kit is more like parts of the system. So that was the wrong word used since selling kits won't help you with making your ps5 like this, since this is custom made. They would have to make the whole system up for sale.

The 'digital' versions of the consoles are still for numpties. Save $100 on the console but overpay for every game for the next 5+ years, and lose the right to sell them should you wish.
@Vincent L. Interesting, thanks for the reply. In the UK physical copies in shops are way cheaper than PSN, and then there's eBay for anything over a couple of weeks old. Buying the digital version here would be like choosing a car where you can only buy fuel from the dealership.

I wish you had integrated the Blu-Ray drive into the design. Otherwise, I think this was a really ingenious design.
Why ? Lets be honest anyone lucky enough to buy a PS5 has amazing wifi and they don't need to buy discs they download everything on their drive

@@MonCappy I could see why but I got the digital only since I have a 4tb nvme ssd ready to go when they enable the feature :'( most games have the cross gen bundles now too so not a huge issue for me. I'm assuming in the future ps6 will be x compatible with ps5 and maybe even ps4 also.. hopefully lol
