Blizzard made this game 1996, The Expansion pack called Hellfire was released in 1997. Walkthrough are The Cathedral, The Catacombs, The Caves and finally Hell where you can find the final boss The Lord of Terror. You can choose to be the Warrior, Rogue or the Sorcerer. Diablo III was released on May 15, 2012

@@coronalight77 fuck off asshole.
This is such a comforting song to me. Diablo was such a big part of my childhood.
It’s supposed to sound morbid and isolating, not comforting!
I forgot just how brilliant Diablo's musical compositions were.
Especially the sense of melancholy you got simply from standing in town.
diablo, starcraft, warcraft, man the music in those games are top
@@elykus793 same guy was working on them. Well, mark left blizzard before wotlk was released, but tbc and classic were made with his help.
They really were. The compositions were quite resourceful, using a lot of different possibilities offered by simple instruments. And those chords in the beginning, fuck me sideways. I keep coming back.
@@elykus793 Hey i am a Mazda Fan too ;D I drive one.
I can't believe how haunting and serene this timeless song is. How geniusly composed it was ❤

This reminded me of how scared shitless I was when I opened the door and heard " Ah fresh meat"
The butcher was one of my favorites creatures in that game.
@@lawrencefitzgerald4744 That was sooooo scary, I played this game when I was like 12, he hunted me sometimes in my dreams for years. XD
@@elgi88
I would actually turn off all the lights in my room, close the curtains and turn the volume up (I had a five speaker surround sound setup).
Let me tell you about scary...😂
I was 9 or 10 and couldnt play it further then the butcher. Never played it again after, still loved it and red the manual (in the good old days it was more of an Artbook with small stories and Background+Lore) over and over
Absolutely
For 17 years I have been coming back to this soundtrack and my lord you are truly fantastic at it
Thank you Nick!
Why was this suggested to me 4 years later? Damn that was epic, returned me back to my childhood. Thank you, you rock!
Better late than never! Old good game with fantastic music :)
haha same here, the nostalgia is real.
@@JonasLefvert Yes my friend!
Lol same
Lol same. And the mentioning of the GOG release somewhere down the chat remembered me of something... Thx guys, download complete
Honestly, diablo has some of the most under rated music of all time.
+JgHaverty Yes, it's very good music in the game :)
Jonas Lefvert your playing was excellent by the way, forgot to mention!
+JgHaverty because after many many many many many times of farming....I just closed the background music and listen to other songs...
+w George That's what I do in other games: I replace their BGM with Diablo's one. :')
Underrated? I've yet to meet someone that tells me Diablo's soundtrack sucked. Then again, not too many people I know, know of Diablo. I would say it's not underrated, it's just unknown.
I never knew the Dark Wanderer was so good on guitar!
So well done, very sensitive on the light notes, great feeling. One of the best covers. Thank you!
Thank you very much!
Hey grubby I love your warcraft, hots videos...love that you like diablo too
It's really a sign of a great musician when they do this. If you listen to different versions of Mozart's Turkish March, the ones that really play it best are those who understand this. I can't remember who plays it, but whoever plays it on the Mozart's Greatest hits album knocks it out of the park. They really flit back and forth between the soft and hard notes in a masterful way.
Also, didn't realize it was Grubby. Pretty cool to see you commenting on a random video game cover.
God actually wasn't expecting Grubby here.. amazing.
Epic music
I would call this track one of the greatest and most iconic thematic tracks of the 90's. Expert preformance as well, you are quite skilled Jonas.
No question up there with opening like Halo 1, FF7/8, castlevania etc.
100% agreed. Up there with tracks from Starcraft, Fallout 1/2, Ultima Online, Baldur's Gate, Chrono Trigger, hell, it even hangs with Terminator 2, Akira, Star Wars, and Ennio Morriconne. Absolutely one of my favorite tracks from any format of all time. They don't seem to make them like this anymore :(
@@yugen Phenomenal music is still being made, it's just the frequency is not what you'd expect. Looking back you only remember the good shit but forget anything that never stuck. If you haven't already, check out the Witcher 3, DOOM 2016, and Furi soundtracks. All wildly different genres with stunning music and are only an example of the colossal library of great music waiting to be found.
@@therealdoc yeah but dude, doom 16 is great but it's basically just some djent mixed with electronics. this here is on a wholeother level in terms of composition, skill and depth
I stayed awhile, and listened.
ahhhhh damn right. What ails you my friend?
With the release of the original Diablo on GoG in 2019, this is still the most amazing soundtrack ever.
Edit: nice cloak. +2 stamina.
Thank you for the comment! :)
Objectively speaking, this might not be fair. Blasphemous had also a fantastic soundtrack, also inspired by Spanish/Andalusian music, and it's hard to say which was "better".
@@zhiroslav yeah, i'd say it's dexterity!
never realized how complicated this song was until now
It's complicated but it was made digitally so there's not really an excuse for it to be simple
@@alexradice8163 Was it really made digitally? I believe the original composer is a fingerstyle guitarist himself.

After staying a while and listening, I'm amazed. There was something in this soundtrack that just resonated with arcane european gothic mistery and viceral dread. I don't think Blizzard can ever bring back that feeling with D4.
I wrote down your words: European gothic mistery and visceral dread. Perfect description (I intend to create content with this theme),

This is so amazing! You're very talented I love you for this!
Jonas Lefvert The following does not change the fact, that this is an awesome cover!
Remember, that the developer, Blizzard North, did NOT develop the Hellfire expansion, nor did they publish it. That was respectively Synergistic Software and Sierra On-Line.
The original for PC was published by the Main Company, Blizzard, in NA, in EU by Ubisoft and Electronic Arts published the Playstation ports.
Extra character in Hellfire was a Monk (excelling in staff and open-hand, apparently). Hidden was a Barbarian (two-handed) and a Bard (dual-wielding).
Bard has of yet not returned.
Monk, as the only one, has not returned in one way or another in later games.
This is über-geek stuff, I guess, so...
Furthermore Blizzard North did have a second expansion in mind for Diablo 2, but unfortunately the company was closed. Some of what you experience in D3 was what Blizzard North had in mind, according to Brevik in an interview with Rhykker.
Brevik said they had a "Cleric" in mind.
Would have liked to see that one. Maybe the "Bard seeing the importance in learning more serious weaponry"? Or the Crusader from D3 (I don't recall Brevik mentioning a Crusader - Cleric relationship).
Yes. The nostalgia is strong with this one. The Diablo series is probably what got me into the dark fantasy genre. Amazing perfomance as always.
I listened this 4 years ago when and CZcams recommended it again. How could I not click and listen to it again (and staying a while, while doing so)? What a gem. The amount of effort put in this arrangement is incredible.
What a pleasure it is to see in the comments so many phrases of the game. This cover and those comments made my day. Thanks internet!

Oof things aren’t looking good these days
Tristram. The feeling of being in a new land as a stranger, sense of foreboding and mystery surrounding the air. As you learn the fate of the village a sense of somber fills you, and you almost pity them for their dire circumstance. You may even have doubts about your own abilities on whether or not you can save the town of Tristram. Though you pick up a sense of urgency in that no one else can help the town except you, so you muster up your courage and feel reinvigorated. Though what awaits you beyond the town? You don't know but you'll find out and do whatever it takes to stop it..
That's what I get from the song and the way it progresses.
I know this is about 6 years later but no lie, I'm in the middle of repairing my 12 string just to learn this. You played it beautifully, mate. Cheers!
0:39 has a strong Opeth vibe. Like it!
I also had to stay a while and listen. Amazing!
Thank you very much!
As a fellow classical guitar player (8,5 years of it - primary music school of it) all I can say you`ve got some talent there. I`ve never played a 12-string guitar though. That looks cool.
By the way. Did you ever played the actual Diablo games? Just wondering.
A little quote from D2 Act IV:
"...May the Light protect you and the powers of Heaven shine upon your path. ..."
tyraela115 i hated act 3, especially those dungeons filled with the creepy little guys - they did lot of damage, best there i think it was sorceress with her freezing skills
Brings back memories of many an evening spent playing D1 into the small hours of the morning.....

One of the most unique and best gaming music pieces ever for sure. Matt Uelmen. Good job playing. They must bring back Matt Uelmen for Diablo 4. If not they are really dumb as it would be epic for the game and as PR. His music were so important for Diablo 2.
Playing the d1 and d2 OSTs while playing D3 makes it better, but nothing makes up for abandoning the art style of the fist two installations.
