I saw a Kia Forte GT from the rear the other day. The thing that really caught my attention was the red pinstriping on the rear bumper. Its a minor thing but it looks pretty cool. The first thing I thought when I saw it was the batmobile and that is meant as a compliment. Overall its a very nicely designed car.
We have a black one with sunroof and gt2 package. Can't beat the value and my wife loves it! 20k miles so far, although we may flip for a white one soon. But sport mode is a huge difference in the car. Has a shocking amount of room. I'm 6 4 260 lbs and am totally comfortable. Even took it on a 5 hour road trip and I was fine. I do change the the oil every 5k miles or less per recs based on engine history. But just shows you manufacturers are over charging on other cars significantly!
Lol. Just wait when those engines start to drink oil 😂😂or catch fire

@calebposton2349 283, but they wanted 370 for the new one, flipping our 2022..these are lease prices....the lease is up and im going to buy it. Buy price is 19k, so payment will still be low.

Do you have Kia forte gt or gt-line?
Don't forget that this 1.6T engine has existed in the Hyundai and Kia lineup for a long time now, and has been improved greatly over the years, and now is the best engine they currently have. It is also the same engine used in WRC by Hyundai. There are upgraded internals sold by KDM warehouse Incase you ever want to build up this motor to become absolute bonkers, but a tune and couple simple bolt-ons to make 220 hp should be enough for this car, unless you decide on installing an LSD that is also available on the aftermarket.
220 HP should be enough ? 😂😂😂. I have a 2023 Kia Forte GT2 and I'm pulling 280 HP and 275 lbs of torque. 😁😁😁 It's a 🚀
@@maoinc13 What tune do you have? I gonna have an LSD installed first before I do any serious power adders, probably this weekend. For now I just got a piggyback, downpipe, and intercooler which should be about 215 hp at the wheels

I got my 2024 Kia Forte GT Line last week. It wasn't even the car I came there for. Now that I have it, I love this car. I've gotten a ton of compliments. I love the interior its well put together. I have a sunroof and for the last couple of days I have been using it. It not only has good room for the driver but it has great room in the back seat and that trunk space, yes!!

@@laylamartinez3039 its not high. I couldnt use the same company that i have for my home owners insurance. They are in a lawsuit with Kia and of course not insuring them. I got an insurance broker that found me insurance that isnt cheap but its not sky high

As a German driver I love the sports shift intended for Hwy or straight roads with little traffic. It's fun to take off at a green light. When I reach the speed limit, I get off the gas. No cars behind me. They're still dreaming at the intersection and the green light, holding up the traffick behind them. 😂
Looking to get this as my first NEW car. It’s a good price for what it does.

Get them while you can. This is the last year of this vehicle as the assembly plants that make them will stop assembling them as they transition to the assembly of the K4.
Will miss the Forte (especially the GT and GT2) as the price was reasonable. Now we must look ahead to its replacement: the K4 which the highest trim of that borrows the engine from the higher Hyundai Kona trims.
I own a kona n and my girlfriend just bought one of these last night. More interior features overall but definitely not quite as sport tuned as the hyundai N cars. Ride feels more comfortable and definitely more daily drivable in a comfort aspect than the N cars. Super excited to be able to switch between the 2 now since I pretty much am the driver whenever she isn't commuting to work.
Btw. You don’t need the put the shifter over to the left to use paddles. It automatically switches once you start using the paddles and then if you stop using the paddles after about 30-45 seconds it automatically switches back to automatic mode. Pretty kool
just got one in blue last weekend and I love it so far! I've only put about 500 miles on it but man is it fun to drive and tbh haven't played with sport mode yet. I saw mode change and wasn't sure what it was going to acutely do so I'm excited to try it out! thanks for the vid.
I have the very same car, same color, but its a 2022 (same everything) with only 8000km so far, like new... in the GT Limited trim here in Canada which is higher than an US GT2, more options included... LOVE IT... especially tuned for 91 octane (ECU), downpipe, Takeda intake... adds more spice to a cheap but fun ride...
How did you get your ecu tuned?
@@chromedreams8184 Bought my tune on a spare ECU from LAP3 so now I have both an oem ECU (for dealership visits) and tune ECU .. 10mins swap if needed
it cost more yes but you have both physical ECU and can be sold easily if needed ... nowadays there's another solution, EK1 PRO are out for our platform
thanks for this. I'm in the market for a commuter car and am leaning toward a jetta sport or maybe a mazda 3. nice to see this which might be the best value of the three -- tho the jetta gas economy is really hard to beat.

That Kia Forte GT looks similar to the Kia Stinger
Nahhh. Appearance-wise, the Forte GT is the most underwhelming performance model to look at. The top trim should be more special than this, but all is forgiven due to the reasonable price tag.

As much as I love this model; itwill set you back 43-45K where I'm at (Puerto Rico). So definitely not affordable everywhere.

Not great, but it’s not any worse than Chevy or Nissan.
@@TheDiameterlol chevy, ford, nissan, kia, Hyundai have really bad quality economy cars in the states. They have better ones made overseas take example of the ford ranger and those early manual focus.
Reliability is trash
Pretty bad. It’s not a sporty vehicle if it has less than 5 cylinders.
I don’t know why people are saying the reliability is trash, look at any other kia forte gt review and people love these things and say they are super reliable. Also comes with 10 year / 100k mile warranty so you don’t have to worry about anything either. Thinking about getting one of these new in a manual compared to a used 57k mile no warranty focus ST. I mean you really can’t go wrong with that kia warranty. Also test drove one of these and it felt very similar to my fiancés mercedes A class so they got something right.

I have a 22 and don't think there is any difference between the years. This 24 looks identical to my 22.

Damn it man, this is the third or fourth batch and the engine capacity is still 1.6 liters turbo compared to the Kia K5 GT 2.5 liters turbo. At least if the engine capacity was 2.0 liters turbo it would have set a speed record

5:10 a piece of advice. Put your camera higher or in another stand, you can barely see the "driving" in front of you. You can see this in your video editing, so why add it to your video? We don't wanna see the steering wheel all the time, we want to see the road in front of the car! Hope this little advice helps you, cause this video was crap just because of that smh...
Yeah you can’t beat the value of what it gets but… my sister had a 23’ year and the dealer bought it back, so much mf technology issues. The seatbelt sensors would go off even though no one was in those seats and the trunk would open at random smh 🤦♂️

There’s a setting where the seatbelt sensor has to feel the door closed before the dinging stops lol 😂 say you lift your butt off the seat and you don’t have a seatbelt. It will keep on dinging, but if you step out and your butts off the seat and the door closes the dinging stops.😅 that’s not really a technology issue more like a little annoyance😊

no. no sunroof and that comes with the package
Is this a GT Line or Limited?
It is a GT. GT-Line has the smaller engine and different bumpers/headlights. Also some different features on the interior as well. The Limited has same engine as the GT-Line but will have some more premium interior features.
The GT-line doesn't have the GT logo in the front grill 😊 and it's not turbo broo
@@SODTAOEthe GT limited is the Canada version and that one is turbo 1.6 Lt , 201 HP and 195 lbs of torque . The GT line is the 2.0 Lt without turbo
They have problems with the 4 bangers…engine rebuild in the near future….🤔not a bad car tho for the money

Good build quality and relative value. However, the steering is too heavy and the suspension is too firm. Pass on this car. 👎
