- Saint Gemma Galgani, born in 1878 in Italy, displayed extraordinary piety from an early age. Orphaned at a young age, she faced poverty and illness. Despite hardships, Gemma's devout faith and mystical experiences, including visions of her guardian angel and conversations with Jesus, shaped her spiritual journey. The wounds of the stigmata, imitating Christ's crucifixion, appeared on her body. Gemma's humility, self-sacrifice, and commitment to prayer and penance left a lasting legacy. Her life was one of profound mystical encounters and profound devotion to the Catholic faith, inspiring many to seek a deeper connection with God through her example. Gemma Galgani was canonized in 1940, and her feast day is celebrated on April 11th.
I have 2 holy cards that have the picture of Saint Gemma on them and a prayer to her on the back. I have had back pain since I was 19 years old. I pray everyday for all people suffering from back pain and spinal issues. Saint Gemma is the patron saint of people who suffer from back pain and spinal issues. I pray that I will imitate her and offer up my pain for the poor souls in Purgatory. May God have mercy on my soul.

Saint Gemma, you also have introduced yourself to me by a video before this one. The lady explaining you suffered some mental health issues and other suffering. Maybe I understood wrong. But that capt my interest bcus my family all suffer some mwntal or emotional suffering. So, I bought a pin with your picture hoping to spread you to whomever would ask. But especially for myself and my family. Then, a priest from St. Michael's abbey spoke about you again early today. Wondering was it about you, to my surprise it was. You suffered the stigmata. Now, this video appeared to me. Please pray for my family their struggles, the back pains and mental health and especially their salvation and true conversion. Please help my husband also for you know what he needs. Overall, help me spread your devotion and help me pray more and be able to go to mass more regularly.. 🙏 I know there are no coincidences, so I am trusting God knows why you are now in my life. Please pray for my salvation and understanding as well as for those if my family that don't want to go to church and are not catholic as well as the young ones in my family and in the world...
