Skaters made such an impact on streetwear. It’s actually amazing. Supreme, palace, vans, etc.
They also had an impact on some landmarks. I think the Santa Monica warehouse didn't allow people to skate but now it's open to the public so thank you Skaters for that.

Best episode by far.
This and hawks episode are the best because of the Airwalks he influenced. They have an actual impact on shoes and use them for function. They have a reason for these shoes and arent just a bunch of dumb hypebeasts lmao.

@@staceycash1312 You'd be surprised, Tyler is quite the low-key sneaker head. Being a huge Pharrell fan, he has quite a few of his old sneakers (board flips), along with some bapestas. And before Tyler was really popping back in the early 2010s, he wore SB dunks before he wore vans. That said, Tyler Ain't rly about the sneaker culture from what I can tell, and would probably not be in a sneaker shopping ever.
Forget Skate 3. This guy was in Tony Pro Skater 1. He was a legend even before the video games.

Skating was not "Cool" back then.. & seeing Koston just KILL IT FOR YEARS... def being my favorite back then & still one of my top 10 today... & seeing KAWS go from doing some great Graff, plus those insanely fresh bus-stop signs that he'd "Alter..." to just Crushing the Vinyl Art Toy world.. to the ART WORLD in general.. & comparatively, seeing just how far Koston has gone.. and he's still rippin'... Just beyond inspirational..

Skateboarding arguably have the same influence on shoes as basketball now. Hypebeasts will pay hundreds for a limited release shoe to put it on their shelf. People who ball will probably only buy a pair a year. Skaters go through a pair of a shoes a month, and then there's the people wearing the look for style--thats why the Janoskis are one of the best selling shoes in Nike history. Skateboarding is a huge market for companies like Nike.
