Dear god, what a privilege to hear someone who actually knows what he’s talking about instead of the typical self appointed internet gasbag! Also wonderful to hear the Santanaesque dad licks the amp was originally designed for in addition to the chugging it’s typically demoed with. If only there was someone with sufficient skill to pull off some Mahavishnu era McLaughlin runs as well…
True top tier goodness. Been just watching these Synergy vids and convinced it's a true wonder. I mean the boards sound just like the amps. Insanity. Once I move and have things set up like I wish I'm gonna get into this more.
Thanks! Not only am I excited about purchasing the IICP (I have been following the IICP videos), but also am really glad I purchased the Power Station 100 with impedance switching. BTW - This is the best video on operation out there, and better than any operation manual could describe
I bought this module and am really excited about it...... One thing I love about it is that you kind of have to try to get a bad tone, Steven hit a home run IMO. BTW when connecting the Syn 1 to a power amp is it recommended to use a speaker cable or an instrument cable, or does it matter? I'm using a Fryette Power Station for my power amp , so far have been running a speaker cable from the Power Station to the Syn one......Sounds great but I wanna do it right.
Amazing preamp! Great range! I’m a big fan and have two VHT Pittbull 45 combos (One 2-10 and a 1-12) and a Super Thirty 1-12. I’m trying to decide between this and the Ultra Lead. Can the Synergy preamp be powered solely through a Power Station to a cabinet? Is that recommended? What are the pros and cons? Can I run the Synergy Preamp through the Power Station while also running a PittBull 45 and have the levels adjusted so one doesn’t blast when I switch from the other?
If running a 16ohm 412 cab into the Fryette PS100 with the Synergy 1/ENGL Powerball module, what should the Fryette's impedance switch be set to? I'm plugging the SYN 1 into the Fryette line in input (from the SYN 1 main out).
Can you use the box for the module with the module added into a cabinet of a amp to play through? Or does the amp have to have a head for you to use the module
The modules go into a slot in the synergy amp head. But I’ve seen guys hook it up in their return fx loop. Iff Dec go with the actual synergy amp head and then grab whatever modules you want.
Which is the best connection to power station? I have the ps2a and now with syn 1 and a fryette deliverance, but I cannot have a good distortion, it seems just a good crunch nothing more, could be my ps bad or something?
Well way more expensive and a bit different sounding. Depends if you want to spend $4 grand or pay less and get modules. I have worked my way up after actually learning m way up, saved up and traded up and the real thing is great. Takes pedals great. Needs maintenance at times. They’re heavy to transport. If I had to do it again I think I’d go with this tbh.
The main thing I noticed is wrong is the presence knob. Every little bit of a turn on any c+ I had and currently have shapes the sound dramatically. The other issue I see on this module is that treble pulled cuts high a bit and yes adds a bit of low mids but it also adds another gain stage; when the treble is pulled the more you turn the knob the more gain you get, but not so much more high frequencies tho. Lead bright is also wrong in this module, as I said any c+ I had and currently have pulling lead bright also cuts low frequencies together with adding more gain, not much or barely any high frequencies are added by pulling lead Master vol.
As a solid state hybrid only good in clean tones it looks. Otherwise very saggy, recto vibe. Needs at least a million corrections to sound even close to a real c+. No saturation of tubes, transformers probably the real cause.
I owned a studio PRE (MArk 2C+ Circuit) and frankly that amp sounded AMAZING with no 5 band AND the tone controls worked (WAY BE?TTER THAN ANYTHING I HAV?E USED FROM MESA SINCE>.>IT IS LIKE they convinced themselves a crappy MArk 2C+ was THE model to PROMOTE>>>BULLSHIT)
I just got my IICP...I'm blown away! So good!! Well done Mr Fryette & Synergy!

Even though I'm not interested in this module, it was really well demonstrated. He should demo more modules which would also boost sales .. win win
Synergy is crushing it with these modules. I am adding this one to my list to get. Thanks!
Great job Steve on both the design and excellent demo.

Really cool video, thanks!
I cannot wait for my module to arrive, been on the edge of my seat for months.
Blown away as always
Can't wait to order mine 🎸
I'm excited and plan on getting a few of these and possibly buying and selling until I get my perfect at least 4.

I wonder how many guys are going to play Dad licks through their Synergy 2c+?
GREAT video! I think I might get a Synergy in the near future now.

Really surprised at how versatile this stuff is, always thought the Boogie stuff was strictu for metal tones

Do you recommend LXII as power amp or synergy power amp driving a 4x12 Marshall cab?

available in germany at the end of 2022 like most of the synergy stuff 🥴
Kinda makes me curious about the original amplifier.

As great as this module is, everyone should just go buy the Pittbull Ultra Lead... it's just the best module in the entire Synergy line.

Sounds like s***, thx 👍
Yea, like a wet blanket is over the cab.
