Good job. I replaced a battery on an SE for the first time. I broke the tabs and couldn't pry the battery out from the bottom, tried from the top and ripped my flex cable in half lol It went from a simple battery change to a full dissembly 🤦🏾♂️

The job was well done. Only thing to say is, near the charging port where u putted the steel thing to create the gap to put the blue plastic tool to remove the screen, looks scratched. If you notice at the beginning of the video that area is white with no damage. In the end when you're putting the screws u can see a black line, appearing to be " damage" from the tool.
2:38 ugh this is just like opening iphone 1 which I hated - using guitar picks. The fit and finish of the case would never be the same. That plastic antenna cover was the worst too. Be careful bending that battery. If you rupture it internally it will cause an electrical short and get very hot and may put off a gas. Great job on the video!

Went back through again. Then I did HARD RESET. VOLUME UP QUICK PRESS VOLUME DOWN QUICK PRESS HOLD POWER BUTTON UNTIL APPLE LOGO APPEARS. You’re welcome
great video, only complaint is that you didn't show the application of the waterproofing adhesive strip. mine obviously got destroyed in the teardown, but i ordered an ifixit kit with the strip included. the adhesive came in the same box as the battery, got the correct battery, however, I got the iPhone 8 adhesive strip lol. ordered it as part of their iPhone 8 plus battery replacement kit so I didn't order the wrong one, but then they just mispacked it. phone still goes back together, and I guess I'll have to take it apart again to do that part, oh well.
Once you remove the screen you’ll need to apply a new adhesive seal. I would highly advise doing so as the waterproof protection is more for condensation rather then a swimming pool like environment lol. Hope this helps!
If it’s a new phone or never been opened up before yes you will need heat like a blow dryer around The outer edge of the phone, I know because I replaced at least five batteries! The glue or sticky adhesive needs to be loosened by heat, hope this helps! I noticed no one ever replied to you!
It doesn’t affect anything but the wireless charging, I know because I tore my wireless charger part out of the phone that I replace the battery in, it doesn’t affect anything else! Hope this helps
@@titobambino5581 try taking it apart again. Making sure all the cables are connected to the needed motherboard and that should solve your screen not turning on. You probably jiggled the screen display loose on accident I’m guessing! Just make sure all your screen is attached to the needed motherboard is all! Let me know if that changes things
No once you damage the wireless charging part you won’t be able to use it anymore, any kind of damage to it will cause it to malfunction or not work one or the two or both
To get an original battery? You would have to buy that from Apple and at that point you might as well just have Apple change out your battery because they’re going to charge you huge for that battery, a battery from Amazon works just as great, I know because I’ve changed out phone batteries on at least three phones, the battery from Amazon works just as good but don’t let that stop you from getting an original one if you really want
With every iPhone it is probably best to stick with the particular battery for that exact phone/I would not personally use an iPhone 7+ battery for an iPhone 8 plus phone
Seems to me, that adhesion tape crap would be unnecessary for the replacement, especially if you wanted to ever replace it again. I mean, it looks to be a pretty tight fit. I’m no expert.

Hello, I hope a 1 month reply can still help your situation. What you’ve done by overcharging has altered the battery’s memory meaning it will no longer give you its original 100% battery life and indeed cause the phone to just not power up one day. If that’s the only issue then yes replacing the battery should bring it back to its functional life! I hope this helps!

There could be a lot of reasons why! I know this common is a year old so you may have a completely different phone by now but thought I’d reply anyways! The battery you got may have been crap, you may not have got the battery connection correct, the battery connection could’ve came loose after you put the cover back on, maybe didn’t charge it/give it enough time to charge before you got no response from it! There’s many reasons why it may not have worked but redoing it couldn’t hurt because maybe it was just the battery connection came loose was all
Just take it slow, always have faith in yourself! Keep in mind the more nervous you are the more you may mess things up, throw on some music put on this video, pause it when you need to and go at your own pace! I have faith in you! Put some faith in yourself! If you have any questions you can reply back to me and I’ll try to help walk you through it! I’ve changed out at least five batteries it’s pretty easy once you get the hang of it

You should keep front panel vertical after you open it. Otherwise, black, plane wires could be damaged.

I saw on another vid using a hair dryer to heat the back, makes the pull tapes come out a lot easier
i use a heating bad and heat the device for 20 minutes.

It doesn’t affect anything but the wireless charging, I know because I tore my wireless charger part out of the phone that I replace the battery in, it doesn’t affect anything else! Hope this helps

You don’t have to pull the adhesive, just put the screw driver on the adhesive and start to turn the screw driver , you will remove it all ;)

When a screw is stuck stick your screwdriver on top of the screw then lightly tap on it numerous times it will loosen the threads

Depends on the quality of the battery, use to have an iPhone 5 and replaced it, lasted for like 1 and a half years then needed replacing again.
