A lot of people become Jehovah's Witnesses because they feel they are part of a ready made family. Everyone is friendly with you and you go to their homes and they come to you. They show a lot of love to all, as they do not become friendly with people outside of the religion. Lonely people will often join them because of this.

@@pamelasloan1664 Pamela, I have seen plenty of Christian churches where love abounds. Does that mean that their theology is correct? Not according to your religious beliefs. And all cults say what you are saying. They are quick to declare how much they love each other, but just as quick to demonize all others.
You claim that "satan" has conned us. You base that on the fact that you say you have "studied the Bible", but the fact of the matter is that according to Watchtower theology you ARE blind. You are not born again. That means that you cannot see the kingdom of God. So how do you know that you have understood the scriptures you have read?

Another one trying to say the Trinity? The beginning was already good. We believe in one God but in three persons. And why do you limit God to 3? He is Almighty so he said I will be whatever I want. And did Jesus ever teach that he was God? And when he asked the disciples who they thought He was, Peter replied, YOU ARE CHRIST, THE SON OF THE LIVING GOD. His God told his disciples, "Go and make disciples, teaching them what I have commanded you. So who, after so many centuries, teaches something different, trying to find some incomprehensible and strange Trinity in the Bible? It has neither logic nor is it the teaching of Jesus himself or the Apostles. Jesus himself admitted that apostasy would come and people would speak perverse teachings. And so it is with the doctrine of the Trinity. Does anyone who believes in it really understand what they repeat without thinking? The Father is God, Jesus is God, the Holy Spirit is God. Everyone is a different person, but God. 1+1+1= 1 ? After all, this teaching is so ridiculous and tragic for those who propagate it, that no one will even wonder what its origin is. Because Jesus warned against false teachers and wolves. Finally, a question to consider for those who are trying to understand the Trinity that they have created. TO WHOM DID "GOD ALMIGHTY" JESUS PRAY WITH TEARS IN HIS EYES? There are countless such questions. And looking for verses in the Bible and putting them under the Trinity is tragic. At the end. Jesus said before leaving that if you preach what I have commanded you, I will be with you until the end. And who today is known for zealously preaching throughout the earth about Jesus as He presented Himself when He was on earth?

Did you know of the Jewish practice of placing vowels (Hebrew vowels) onto (YHWH) the Tetragrammaton? Vowels from Adonai are placed onto YHWH causing the hybrid name Yahowaih, shortened to YAHWEH? Or on other occasions, what about the vowels of Elohim inserted onto YHWH causing the name Yehovih, which Strong's Dictionary of Bible Words lists as #3069, and why? because it exists! What about the vowels of Eloah placed onto YHWH causing Yehowah to change to Yehovah, then change to Jehovah, and later attempt to change back to Yehovah. All this was done to remind the readers in the synagogues not to say the name of God, YAHAWAH. Why does Nehemia Gordon base his support of the name Yehovah solely upon Medieval sources of Scripture, and ignores the other names of Yahweh and Yehovih? All these hybrid (false names) originated in the same period of time (Middle Ages). Why are believers in Yehovah trying to disassociate the part of Ye-hovah, hovah in Hebrew means ruin, mischief, and calamity! Is that the God you worship? Jehovah according to meaning based on hovah as seen in Strong's #1942;#1943.
In Exodus 3:13-15, Moses asked for God’s name. 13 Then Moses said to God, “Indeed, when I come to the children of Israel and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they say to me, ‘What is His name?’ what shall I say to them?” 14 And God said to Moses, “HaYAH Ashar HaYAH!” [“I AM WHO I AM”]. And He said, “Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, ‘YAH [IAM] has sent me to you.’ ” 15 Moreover God said to Moses, “Thus you shall say to the children of Israel: ‘The Lord God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you. This is My name forever, and this is My memorial to all generations.’”
YAH is “the name which is above every name”.
The apostle Paul heard Christ’s name on the road to Damascus, which is why he said of the name of Christ, 9 “Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him ‘the name which is above every name,’ 10 that at the name of YAH-SHUA every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, 11 and that every tongue should confess that YAHSHUA the Christ is LORD, to the glory of God the Father” (Philippians 2:9-11). God never revealed the name Jesus, which has existed since the 17th century.
YAH is the only essential name of salvation for mankind, as the prophet Isaiah has revealed, Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid; ‘For Yah, the Lord, is my strength and song; He also has become my salvation’” (Isaiah 12:2 NKJV).
Christ told the people that He is YAH which means “I AM,” when He said, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM” (John 8:58).

@@S.R.M. did you know prior to this Jewish practice we have Historical and arqueological evidence points to a closer for that supports the form Jehovah more than it does for Yahweh. That is before these later Jewish scribes you reference from strongs and even before the Spanish Catholic priest that is reference to be the inventor of Jehovah. You find this with God’s Name found as “IAŌ”. We find this in Egyptian stones, we also find it by church fathers and we find it reference by the Greeks. ALL at different time frames all with the same exact phrase in different langue’s by different cultures at different times. And the surprising thing is that this supports: Jehovah. And there is no evidence that out of IA-Ō supports the rendering: Yahweh. Yahweh is the accepted academic form of Gods form but the one with the least evidence yet they try to say that this is what we find in Hebrew. Take time to study this and look at the latest evidence not the old literature on what some scholars considered. We don’t even get LORD/adonai from IAŌ. @@InvestigadorTJ The name Jesus is from the 17th century, and as found in the 1611 KJV, it was Iesus (ee-sus), not Jesus (gee-sus), which indicates man-made changes in the one name, nor is there any other name, given under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). The issue is the name is a revealed name from Heaven, and not to be subjected to the tongue of man or linguistic evolution. Egypt became a Greek-speaking land after the Greek invasion in BC 330. Greek does not support Jehovah, which is a concoction of the vowels of Eloah. YAH is found in Greek as IAO, but that only proves that Hebrew Yod and Hey with the Hebrew vowel gametz forming the sound of 'a' is YAH. Revelation is of the LORD and academics of man. Wrong! “Jehovah…” (Yehovah) It is widely used in many churches. It is considered by many Christians to be hollowed, and many beautiful hymns also endear it, however, this name “Jehovah” is a concoction of man. Therefore, it is a “mongrel,” a “hybrid,” and it is “fantastic,” a fantasy, and it is “monstrous!” There is something very wrong with this euphonious name Jehovah. Therefore, the name of Jehovah was a name never revealed by the LORD. The facts have only to be known to justify this verdict.
      What are the facts?
Ever since the Babylonian invasion of the Kingdom of Judea, and the enforced diaspora of its noble class in 597 BCE, the Jews have had a strong penchant for hiding the name of the LORD (YHWH) from the Gentiles, thus preventing them from potentially profaning the LORD’s name revealed to Moses (specifically the name of YAH, “HaYAH”, as found in Exodus 3:13-15). YAH is “the name which is above every name.” Readers in the synagogues would inadvertently attempt to pronounce the LORD’s name, as there were no vowels in the Hebrew words within the Hebrew Bible [or known as “The Old Testament”] when coming upon God’s name: YHWH. Later, the Jewish clergy developed the practice, around the 1100s of adding Hebrew vowels created by the Masoretes, to the Tetragrammaton [Gr. word for the four consonant letters of the LORD's name]. The vowels were taken from at least three other Hebrew words, namely, Adonay (meaning Lord, with the vowels of a-o-ai causing the hybrid name YaHoWaiH, or later shortened to YAHWEH), Eloah (meaning God, with the vowels of e-o-a causing YeHoWaH later Jehovah or Yehovah), and Elohim (meaning Gods, with the vowels of e-o-i causing YeHoWiH, as shown in Strong’s Dictionary of Bible Words # 3069). These hybrid names were never meant to form any legitimate name for the LORD but were placed there to remind the readers in the synagogues to say, “Adonay” instead of attempting to pronounce the LORD’s actual name.
How was this euphonious name, Jehovah, propagated?
Later in Medieval times, the Roman Catholic Church was known to raid Jewish synagogues, take their gold, and the Hebrew Scriptures [the Old Testament], and persecute Jews. Raymondus Martini was a 13th century Dominican friar and theologian. He is remembered for his book called “Pugio Fidei” (in the year 1270 CE). Finding the absconded Hebrew Scriptures in the Dominican Library, and believing he had discovered the name of God, he used the name Iehovah (or Iehova) in his book not understanding that these vowels were not original to the LORD’s actual name. The name and pronunciation of “Jehovah,” (and also the name Jesus unknown until the 17th century) were essentially unknown in the years before 1520 CE, when introduced and propagated by Peter, Galatinus (1450-1540), he held the office of penitentiary under pope Leo X. His chief work De Arcanis Catholicae Veritatis, a book, written at the request of the pope, the emperor, and other dignitaries, in the year 1516 CE, as he also used the name Iehovah in his book. The name Iehovah was altered with the addition of the letter J, which was a recent addition to the English alphabet in the 17th century. Galatinus also did not know of the Jewish practice of adding vowels from an entirely different word. He did not know that the vowels found around the Tetragrammaton YeHoWaH were from the Hebrew word Eloah, and if he did, he did not care.
Noted Bible scholar J. B. Rotherham, essentially stated, “To give YHWH (Latin: IHVH and later JHVH) the vowels of the word (ELOAH) to remind the Jewish reader to say, ‘Adonay,’ and to be pronounced by the Christians, ‘Jehovah,’ is about as hybrid a combination as it would be to spell the name of Germany with the vowels of Portugal-viz., Gormuna” (The Emphasized Bible, J. B. Rotherham, Kregel Publication, 1994, Pp. 24-25). Jehovah in its present hybrid form has only existed since the 17th century. Fact: The LORD’s essential name is YAH, and Bible scholars have acknowledged YAHWEH (see Strong’s #3050), as in “Praise YAH,” Hebrew: “Halleluyah!” The English “Hallelujah” is a misnomer. YAH is “the name which is above every name” (Philippians 2:9), and YAHSHUA is the only name by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and this name is to be known among every language, and tongue, as the essential revealed name of the LORD according to the Gospel (Philippians 2:11), YAH, as in HaYAH (the I AM). The Savior identified His name as “I AM” (YAH, see John 8:58). The prophet Isaiah identified the name of salvation as YAH (Isaiah 12:2 NKJV). And “shua” means “my help”, as in “my salvation.” To reject the revealed name of YAHSHUA, which was given by the angel (Matthew 1:21) is to stand condemned (John 3:18). YAHSHUA is shortened from the name YAHOSHUA, which is commonly spelled Yehoshua largely due to the Jewish practice of hiding the name YAH, by adding vowels to YHWH, the Tetragrammaton, from the Hebrew vowels of Eloah, which caused the false Yeh, as a result, scholars would consider YAHOSHUA a philological impossibility, however, they are mistaken.
What does the name Jehovah mean in Hebrew?
Je-hovah, “hovah” in Hebrew means, “Ruin, Mischief, and Calamity” (see Strong’s #1942, #1943). The Jewish Encyclopedia, states, under the name “Jehovah,” “This name is commonly represented in modern translations by the form Jehovah, which, however, is a philological impossibility” (p. 160). The Jehovah’s Witnesses admittedly make a similar reference that the name Jehovah is inferior, in their book: Let Your Name Be Sanctified (p. 16). Undoubtedly, the name Jehovah is not the revealed name of the LORD! Many Christian clergy know the truth that the name Jehovah is bogus. Still, due to their tradition, or the fact that this name erroneously appears in the King James Version of the Bible, they hold to this euphonious name for the sake of their tradition, which makes void the revelation of God (Mark 7:6-7). The Lord has a warning for them, “And now, O priests (pastors and teachers), this commandment is for you. If you will not hear, and if you will not take it to heart, to give glory to My name,” says the LORD of hosts, “I will send a curse upon you, Yes, I have cursed them already, because you do not take it to heart” (Malachi 2:1-2). Satan is deceiving the whole world (Revelation 12:9). Despite being told the truth of the one name of salvation, YAHSHUA, they will hold to the name Jesus and Jehovah, despite never having been revealed by the LORD. Many will reject the name YAHSHUA leaving only a few, and being of the many despite the admonishment: “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it” (Matthew 7:13-14). The name Jesus was never revealed by the LORD, or an angel of the Lord, and history proves this, as eminent historian Ernest Renan acknowledged that the Savior was never in His lifetime called “Jesus” (The Life of Jesus, p. 90). The name Jesus, in its present form, has only existed since the 17th century.

He is referring to verse 19. In Isaiah YHWH is speaking prophetically:
“You are my witnesses,” declares the Lord,
“and my servant whom I have chosen,
*so that you may know and believe me*
*and understand that I am he."* (Isaiah 43:10)
And here is what Jesus says in John 13:
"I am telling you now before it happens, so that when it does happen *you will believe that I am he."* (John 13:19)
I'm not sure what your position is, but if you want I can expland on this even more and prove beyond any shadow of a doubt that both Jesus and the Father go by the name YHWH. There are a couple of things that Jesus says repeatedly throughout the gospel that everyone misses that have to do with his true identity and when and how his identity was to be revealed.

The words of Psalm 102:25, 26 apply to Jehovah God, but the apostle Paul quotes them with reference to Jesus Christ. This is because God’s only-begotten Son was God’s personal Agent employed in creating the physical universe. Paul contrasts the Son’s permanence with that of the physical creation, which God, if he so designed, could ‘wrap up just as a cloak’ and set aside.- Read Heb 1:1, 2, Colo 1:15,16, 1 Cori 8:5,6, Proverbs 8:22, 27-30.
It should be observed in Hebrews 1:5b that a quotation is made from 2 Samuel 7:14 and applied to the Son of God. Although that text had its first application to Solomon, the later application of it to Jesus Christ does not mean that Solomon and Jesus are the same. Jesus is “greater than Solomon” and carries out a work foreshadowed by Solomon.-Luke 11:31.

Colossians 1:15 - does not say that Jesus is the Creator, it says that all things have been created *through* him, not that the created them. The Greek uses the passive verb form here. Check out an interlinear and you'll see.
Hebrews 1:2 (ESV) says similar: _"but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, _*_through whom also he created the world."_*
It wouldn't make much sense for Hebrews 1:10 to contradict Hebrews 1:2. The Bible often shows things being actioned by someone else but the source being Jehovah so Jehovah can still be given the credit. For instance in Deuteronomy 32:12: _"The Lord alone led him"_ however Moses and an angel were used to lead Israel.

Even a Christian cannot brush aside the worship of Jehovah as God. In Revelation 1:5 the Son of God called himself "Jesus Christ, 'The Faithful Witness.'" When on earth as a man he was a Jew, an Israelite, to whose nation the words of Isaiah 43:10 were written: "'You are my witnesses, 'is the utterance of Jehovah, 'even my servant whom I have chosen.'" Jesus demonstrated that he was a faithful and true witness of Jehovah God. His genuine disciples today must be the same kind of witnesses, Jehovah's.

Was he talking to himself when he said, thy will shall be done. On his resurrection when Mary went to embrace him, what did he say? Did the early church get confused by the Muslim question "Do you have two gods, for we only have one? Then to add to the confusion there is mention of God the father Christ the son and the holy spirt which is three spiritual identities all rolled into one. Many Christens pray to the two and hang onto on the promise of the Son.

Simply because Jehovah and Jesus can do the same thing with regard to searching hearts and minds does not mean Jesus must be Jehovah.
Clearly Jehovah, as Almighty God, looking into hearts and minds is something He could easily do.
As Jehovah, the Father has given Jesus all authority in heaven and earth,
Also at John 5:26 "For as the Father has life in himself, so he has granted the Son also to have life in himself, 27 and has given him authority to execute judgment, because he is the Son of man."
The Father gave Jesus the authority to "execute judgment". The ability to see what is into hearts and minds must go along with this given power to judge.

It’s not a confusing thing, when talking about the partakers going up. There was a ‘question from readers’ in a Watchtower of 2007 which changed the concept of the anointed being complete in 1935. It changed that they did not know anymore. It’s not directly connected to 1914. So, from 2007, it’s open to increase the anointed number and it has been going up about a 1000 new partakers a year. Your information is mostly correct and very well told.
I have studied the trinity far and wide, but as Bart Ehrman states in his books, the people of the time did not believe Jesus to be God and the people after Jesus death, could not understand who Jesus was en started building the theory of the Dual and later Trinitarian believe. Jesus told the knowledge would be known to the most basic of people. So both the trinity and the man made concepts that crept in the Jehovah’s Witness ideas are not from God in my opinion.
Why would a jealous god ever ‘force’ people to believe in one entity, while he himself is not one, but multiple persons. That makes no sense at all to me.

Bart Erhman’s theory about the divinity of Jesus evolving overtime after His death is not supported by the evidence. We have good reason to believe the creeds in Paul’s letters are from very close to the time of Jesus’ death (~40 AD)
We have fragments of the gospel of John from around 100AD that match manuscripts that our Bible is based on. This means that John was widely circulated at that time and is full of assertions of Jesus’ divinity. Mark was even earlier and has Jesus attributing prophecies from Daniel to Himself and claiming that the Holy of Holies as His seat.
Hebrews was likely written between 50 and 65 AD. It attributes OT passages about Yahweh to Jesus. It even says the Jesus is the author and perfector of our salvation, and He is superior to angels, prophets, and the Leviticus priesthood.

Remember what Jesus said after the thousand years he would give the kingdom back to his father. And as far as the holy Spirit goes it says it's our helper and never says the holy Spirit is a god.

@@InvestigadorTJ Oh, so you are a spokesperson for trinitarians are you? Well ok, sure, we don't believe that Jesus was procreated in the same way as human sons are procreated any more than we believe that being born again means that we have to "enter a second time into out mother’s womb to be born”.
What we believe is that the Father and Son relationship is eternal, just as Jesus' being High Priest of the new covenant is eternal - without beginning of days or end of life (Hebrews 7:3). You got a problem with that?
Here is why we believe that the Father and Son relationship is eternal:
"Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you *before the world began."* (John 17:5)
Jesus was neither created nor "begotten" before the world began. Why? Because to say "before the world began" is equvalent to saying "before time began". Not only does secular science acknowledge that time is an integral part of creation, scripture also refers to eternity in that way (2 Timothy 1:9, Titus 1:2).
Time cannot be separated from space and matter. They were all created simultaneously.
Furthermore, Jesus could not possibly have been created because scripture makes it impossible. John 1:3 totally dismisses the idea:
"Through him all things were made; without him *nothing was made that has been made."*
Notice the unusual way that this verse is worded. It's almost as if John was trying to write a disclaimer. He could have said something very simple here such as "Jesus created all things", but he specifically points out that *_everything that has been made_* was made by Jesus. It's almost as if John knew in advance that people were going to twist scripture and try to contradict him.
You also need to explain why there is no account of Jesus creation anywhere in scripture. Wouldn't we expect there to be one? Moses who God chose to write an account of creation doesn't mention one and neither does Paul nor anyone else.

According to the Gospel of Christ
    One’s salvation depends on:
THE NAME WHICH IS ABOVE EVERY NAME
Moses asked for God’s name, and God said, “HaYAH Ashar HaYAH,” translated, I AM Who I AM (Exodus 3:13-15). I AM is YAH! So we say, “Halleluyah!” “Praise YAH!”
YAH is “The name which is above every name!”
The Prophet Isaiah spoke of YAH as the name of salvation, behold, “God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid; ‘For Yah, the Lord, is my strength and song; He also has become my salvation’” (Isaiah 12:2 NKJV).
    {The name of Jesus has only existed since the 17th century, before that, the name Iesus, before that the Name Iesous, and that name is a transliteration of the name Yeshua.}
The angel of the LORD did not reveal the names: Jesus, Iesus, or Iesous. The angel said, “And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name YAHSHUA, for He will save His people from their sins” (Matthew 1:21).
The Messiah of Israel said, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.” Christ told them that He is YAH, the God of Israel, The only Rock (Isaiah 44:8; 1 Corinthians 10:1-4).
The apostle Peter testified to the name YAHSHUA, “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12).
The apostle Paul on the Road to Damascus encountered Christ, “So I said, ‘Who are You, Lord?’ And He said, ‘I am YAHSHUA, whom you are persecuting” (Acts 26:15). Did the apostle Paul testify to hearing THE NAME WHICH IS ABOVE EVERY NAME?
The apostle Paul acknowledged that he heard the name which is above every name {YAH}.
Philippians 2:9 “Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name {YAH}, 10 that at the name of YAHSHUA every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, 11 and that every tongue should confess that YAHSHUA the Christ is LORD, to the glory of God the Father.”
To accept any other name other than YAHSHUA that was not revealed by God is to reject the name of salvation. And, “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God (John 3:18). YAH is the name which is above every name, Halleluyah, Praise YAH, Praise YAHSHUA! (www.nazareanministryofyahshua.com)

No one is calling Jesus a liar! You just ignore what all anti-trinitarians ignore - the fact that there was a context to Jesus earthly ministry. What you need to do is dig deeper into scripture because some of the evidence is not easy to see at first glance. That is why quoting some of the things Jesus said does not prove anything unless we understand the reason why he said them.
Since Paul In Philippians 2 gives us an account of what immediately preceeded Jesus mission, we need to take a close look look at it:
Who, *being in very nature God,*
      did not consider *equality with God* something to be used to his own advantage;
      rather, *he made himself nothing*
by taking the very nature of a servant,
      being made in human likeness.
And being found in appearance as a man,
      he humbled himself
      by becoming obedient to death-
even death on a cross! (Philippians 2:6-8)
Here we see transitioning from a position of equality with God, but not being able to "use it to his own advantage".
We also see that it is Jesus _himself_ who "made himself nothing". He wasn't forced to do so due to his having a different nature from the Father or because he was lower in value than him. He took on the form of a servant - _volutarily._
So why would Jesus put aside his divine glory, his divine status, and his divine privileges to volutarily take on a lesser form?
One reason is because of what Paul says in the preceeding verses - to give us an example of humility for us to follow. But it wasn't just that. It also has to do with legalities. Without understanding the legalities involved we risk missunderstanding what is going on behind the scenes in the gospels.
In order for Jesus to legally represent us and keep the requirements of the Mosaic law in our place he had to become one of us - fully human in every way - and to do so without taking advantage of his deity.
So what you need to ask yourself is this. How could Jesus possibly make himself nothing without at the same time making the Father greater? How could he keep the law, as a human being, unless he somehow limited himself? How could he do the things he did _without_ making himself dependent on the Father?

He does the same thing when I show him that the NT authors identify Jesus as Jehovah, the second person of the triune God by citing OT Jehovah passages and attributing them to him: Mar 1:2-3 (citing Isa 40:3 & Mal 3:1), Rom 10:13 (citing Joel 2:32), Phi 2:10-11 (citing Isa 45:23), 2Thes 1:9 (citing Isa 2:10), Heb 1:10-12 (citing Psa 102:25-27), 1Pe 2:3 (Psa 34:8), 3:14-15 (Isa 8:12-13).

They don't even understand what Jesus ment when he said before Abraham I am,
I have to show one thing from Scripture John 14 28 Jesus said the father is greater then I am in the same chapter he told all his disciples you are one just like the father and me are one. One means simply unity not that everyone is one so what in essence he's saying is we are equal to God, and not one of us is equal to God.
Psalms 2 tells us how Jesus was begotten by the father, when he went back to heaven and the father told all the angels to worship him. The only way they can explain this is he's God but that's not true if you read revelation Jesus told some of those who received their heavenly glory said he would make those who say they are Jews but are not he would make them come and worship at their feet.

    1. "The ancient Babylonians recognised the doctrine of a trinity, or three persons in one god-as appears from a composite god with three heads forming part of their mythology, and the use of the equilateral triangle, also, as an emblem of such trinity in unity" (Thomas Dennis Rock, The Mystical Woman and the Cities of the Nations, 1867, pp. 22-23).
    2. "The Puranas, one of the Hindoo Bibles of more than 3,000 years ago, contain the following passage: 'O ye three Lords! know that I recognize only one God. Inform me, therefore, which of you is the true divinity, that I may address to him alone my adorations.' The three gods, Brahma, Vishnu, and Siva [or Shiva], becoming manifest to him, replied, 'Learn, O devotee, that there is no real distinction between us. What to you appears such is only the semblance. The single being appears under three forms by the acts of creation, preservation, and destruction, but he is one.'
"Hence the triangle was adopted by all the ancient nations as a symbol of the Deity . . . Three was considered among all the pagan nations as the chief of the mystical numbers, because, as Aristotle remarks, it contains within itself a beginning, a middle, and an end. Hence we find it designating some of the attributes of almost all the pagan gods" (Sinclair, pp. 382-383).

At first the Christian faith was not Trinitarian.
It was not so in the apostolic ages and sup-apostolic ages, as reflected in the New Testament and other early Christian writings.
    "Encyclopedia of Religion and Ethics".
The formulation one God in three Persons was not solidly established, certainly not fully assimilated into Christian life and its profession of faith, prior to the end of the 4th century among the Apostolic Fathers, there had been nothing even remotely approaching such a mentality or perspective." -
    New Catholic Encyclopedia.
THE ante-Nicene Fathers were acknowledged to have been leading religious teachers in the early centuries after Christ's birth. What they taught is of interest.
Justin Martyr, who died about 165 C.E., called the prehuman Jesus a created angel who is "other than the God who made all things." He said that Jesus was inferior to God and "never did anything except what the Creator .. willed him to do and say.
"Irenaeus, who died about 200 C.E., said that the prehuman Jesus had a separate existence from God and was inferior to him.
He showed that Jesus is not equal to the "One true and only God." who is "supreme over all, and besides whom there is no other."
Clement of Alexandria, who died about 215 C.E., called God the uncreated and imperishable and only true God." He said that the Son is next to the only omnipotent
Father" but not equal to him.
Tertullian, who died about 230 C.E., taught the supremacy of God. He observed:
"The Father is different from the Son (another), as he is greater, as he who begets is different from him who is begotten; he who sends, different from him who is sent." He also said:
"There was a time when the Son was not.. Before all things, God was alone.
Hippolytus, who died about 235 C.E., said that God is "the one God, the first and the only One, the Maker and Lord of all," who had nothing co-equal of equal age] with him But he was One, alone by himself; who, willing it, called into being what had no being before." such as the created prehuman
Origen, who died about 250 C.E... said that 'the Father and Son are two substances two things as to their essence," and that
"compared with the Father, [the Son] is a very small light."
Summing up the historical evidence, Alvan Lamson says in The Church of the First Three Centuries:
The modern popular doctrine of the Trinity .. derives no support from the language of Justin [Martyr]: 'and this observation may be extenced to all the ante-Nicene Fathers that is, to all Christian writers for three centuries after the birth of Christ..

      You missed a few quotes:
Polycarp (AD 69-155) was the bishop at the church in Smyrna. Irenaeus tells us Polycarp was a disciple of John the Apostle. In his Letter to the Philippians he says,
Now may the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, and *the ETERNAL high priest himself, the Son of God Jesus Christ,* build you up in faith and truth...and to us with you, and to all those under heaven *who will yet believe in OUR LORD AND GOD Jesus Christ* and in his Father who raised him from the dead.
Ignatius (AD 50-117) was the bishop at the church in Antioch and *also a disciple of John the Apostle.* He wrote a series of letters to various churches on his way to Rome, where he was to be martyred. He writes,
Ignatius, who is also Theophorus, unto her which hath been blessed in greatness through the plentitude of God the Father; which hath been foreordained before the ages to be for ever unto abiding and unchangeable glory, united and elect in a true passion, by the will of the Father *and of JESUS CHRIST OUR GOD;* even unto the church which is in Ephesus [of Asia], worthy of all felicitation: abundant greeting in Christ Jesus and in blameless joy.
Being as you are imitators of God, once you took on new life *THROUGH THE BLOOD OF GOD* you completed perfectly the task so natural to you.
There is only one physician, who is both flesh and spirit, born and unborn, *God in man,* true life in death, both from Mary and from God, first subject to suffering and then beyond it, Jesus Christ our Lord.
For *OUR GOD, JESUS THE CHRIST,* was conceived by Mary according to God’s plan, both from the seed of David and of the Holy Spirit.
Consequently all magic and every kind of spell were dissolved, the ignorance so characteristic of wickedness vanished, and the ancient kingdom was abolished *when God appeared in human form to bring the newness of eternal life.*
For *OUR GOD JESUS CHRIST* is more visible now that he is in the Father.
*I glorify Jesus Christ, THE GOD WHO MADE YOU SO WISE,* for I observed that you are established in an unshakable faith, having been nailed, as it were, to the cross of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Wait expectantly for the one who is above time: *the Eternal, the Invisible, who for our sake became visible; the Intangible, the Unsuffering, who for our sake suffered,* who for our sake endured in every way.
Justin Martyr (AD 100-165) was an Christian apologist of the second century.
And that Christ being Lord, *and GOD THE SON OF GOD,* and appearing formerly in power as Man, and Angel, and in the glory of fire as at the bush, so also was manifested at the judgment executed on Sodom, has been demonstrated fully by what has been said.
Permit me first to recount the prophecies, which I wish to do in order to prove that *CHRIST IS CALLED BOTH GOD AND LORD OF HOSTS.*
Therefore these words testify explicitly that He [Jesus] is witnessed to by Him [the Father] who established these things, as *DESERVING TO BE WORSHIPPED, AS GOD AND AS CHRIST.*
The Father of the universe has *a Son; who also, being the first-begotten Word of God, IS EVEN GOD.* And of old He appeared in the shape of fire and in the likeness of an angel to Moses and to the other prophets; but now in the times of your reign, having, as we before said, become Man by a virgin....
For if you had understood what has been written by the prophets, you would not have denied that *He was God, Son of the only, unbegotten, unutterable God.*
Melito of Sardis (died c. AD 180) was the bishop of the church in Sardis.
He that hung up the earth in space was Himself hanged up; He that fixed the heavens was fixed with nails; He that bore up the earth was born up on a tree; the Lord of all was subjected to ignominy in a naked body- *GOD PUT TO DEATH!* ... In order that He might not be seen, the luminaries turned away, and the day became darkened- *because THEY SLEW GOD,* who hung naked on the tree.... This is He who made the heaven and the earth, and in the beginning, together with the Father, fashioned man; who was announced by means of the law and the prophets; who put on a bodily form in the Virgin; who was hanged upon the tree; who was buried in the earth; who rose from the place of the dead, and ascended to the height of heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of the Father.

      Continued...
Irenaeus of Lyons (AD 130-202) was bishop of Lugdunum in Gaul, which is now Lyons, France. Irenaeus was born in Smyrna in Asia Minor, where he studied under bishop Polycarp, who in turn had been a disciple of John the Apostle.
For I have shown from the Scriptures, that no one of the sons of Adam is as to everything, and absolutely, called God, or named Lord. But that *He is Himself in His own right, beyond all men who ever lived, GOD, AND LORD, AND KING ETERNAL, and the Incarnate Word, proclaimed by all the prophets, the apostles, and by the Spirit Himself, may be seen by all who have attained to even a small portion of the truth.* Now, the Scriptures would not have testified these things of Him, if, like others, He had been a mere man.... He is the holy Lord, the Wonderful, the Counselor, the Beautiful in appearance, and the Mighty God, coming on the clouds as the Judge of all men;-all these things did the Scriptures prophesy of Him.
He received testimony from all that He was very man, and that *HE WAS VERY GOD,* from the Father, from the Spirit, from angels, from the creation itself, from men, from apostate spirits and demons.
*Christ Jesus [is] OUR LORD, AND GOD, and Savior, and King,* according to the will of the invisible Father.
*Christ Himself, therefore, together with the Father, is the GOD OF THE LIVING,* who spoke to Moses, and who was also manifested to the fathers.
Carefully, then, has the Holy Ghost pointed out, by what has been said, His birth from a virgin, and *His essence, that HE IS GOD* (for the name Emmanuel indicates this). And He shows that He is a man.... [W]e should not understand that He is a mere man only, nor, on the other hand, from the name Emmanuel, should suspect Him to be God without flesh.
Clement of Alexandria (AD 150-215) was another early church father. He wrote around AD 200. He writes,
This Word, then, the Christ, the cause of both our being at first (for He was in God) and of our well-being, this very Word has now appeared as man, *He alone being both, BOTH GOD AND MAN* -the Author of all blessings to us; by whom we, being taught to live well, are sent on our way to life eternal.... The Word, who in the beginning bestowed on us life as Creator when He formed us, taught us to live well when He appeared as our Teacher *that AS GOD He might afterwards conduct us to the life which never ends.*
For it was not without divine care that so great a work was accomplished in so brief a space by the Lord, who, though despised as to appearance, was in reality adored, the expiator of sin, the Savior, the clement, *the Divine Word, He that is TRULY MOST MANIFEST DEITY, He that is made EQUAL TO THE LORD OF THE UNIVERSE;* because He was His Son, and the Word was in God....

for example Psalm 8:5; 82:1-6; John 10:34,35 (JB)
Satan was also called a god 2 Corinthians 4:4.
Jesus certainly has a greater position far higher than humans, angels or even Satan. Since these are referred to as gods, Jesus can be and is "a god" (NOT Almighty God) Isaiah 9:6; John 1:1.
The Journal of Biblical Literature, edited by Jesuit Joseph A. Filamyer, notes that if the latter part of John 1:1 were interpreted to mean"the" God, this would then contradict the preceding clause," which says that the Word was WITH God.

Talk about twisting the scriptures. My friend if you think Jesus to be God, then I have a question for you : If Jesus is God then WHO was he praying to ? ......If Jesus is God then why did he say "I am going back to MY GOD and MY FATHER ? So WHO is the God of Jesus, and what is his name, when you find the answer to that question then you will see the TRUTH behind WHO God is !
Jesus backed up that belief when in prayer to his heavenly father said,...”"This is eternal life, that they should know you, the only true God, and him whom you sent, Jesus Christ. John 17: 3. Notice how he calls his father the ONLY TRUE GOD!
The first century Christians taught the same when they preached for example 1 Cor 15: 24-28 where we see in Vs 24 that Jesus has a GOD AND FATHER and that in Vs 28 he SUBJECTS himself to his God & Father!
SOME do say however, that Jesus does address God as his God and his father because he was A MAN however one of the clearest scripture which shows that Jesus is NOT God is Rev 3:12 where we see Jesus as NOT a man but back in heaven:
"The one who is victorious I will make a pillar in the temple of my God. Never again will they leave it. I will write on them the name of my God and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which is coming down out of heaven from my God; and I will also write on them my new name. New International Version
So, please read Rev 1:1 which says: "a revelation from Jesus which GOD GAVE HIM"
So WHO is the God Of Jesus, and what is his name ? Please give us the answer to this ???

I do know that the world being is not a distinguishing pronoun as is father and son. These words, father and son are clearly used in the Bible for God and his son. As I mentioned both mean the same thing in all three biblical languages. Father is the creator of the son. Even in our days, they mean the same. Trinitarian grossly wrote the King James Bible. Verses were change, gladly not all were able to be changed. Example, Matthew 27:46, John 20:17, 1 Petter 1:3 and many more. Verses that have been changed can be corrected by the surrounding verses. Example Philippians 2:6,7 corrected by verse 5. All versus used by Trinitarian are versus that can be left up to the interpretation. However, versus that are the word of Jesus cannot be misinterpreted. As a trinitarian, you must know that this was only made up in the fourth century. This is proof that neither Jesus nor the apostles taught such a thing.

Jesus is not God? Uh, no, he isn't. Instead, Jesus is the Son of God who was sent into the world BY God. As Jesus himself said: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved." (John 3:16, 17) 1 John 4:9 adds: "In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him." So, who was it that came into the world? Was it God himself? Or did God send someone else, namely, his Son, Jesus? The answer should be obvious.

@larysnw418 Larry, that's _not_ what the Bible teaches. If you believe that Ecclesiastes is what God is teaching us to believe then everything is meaningless, and we basically have the same fate as a garden snail.
There is a context to Ecclesaiastes. It is written from the hopeless perspective of life without God. That is why it says that everything is meaningless "under the sun" - or in other words on the earth. Surely you don't believe this too:
"All share a common destiny - the righteous and the wicked, the good and the bad, the clean and the unclean" (Ecclesiastes 9:2).
That contradicts everything the gospel teaches!
Furthermore, I have disproven Watchtower theology _countless_ times. It's not that it is difficult to do. It is getting them to listen that is difficult. For example, let me ask you a question that I have asked _countless_ JWs. The vast majority of them do not answer it because it disproves their theology, but they ignore it rather than admit what it says. Here is the question:
In the following passage, *who is being sent,* and *who is sending him:*
"For *this is what the Lord Almighty says:* “After the Glorious One has *sent ME* against the nations that have plundered you-for whoever touches you touches the apple of his eye- I will surely raise my hand against them so that their slaves will plunder them. *Then you will know that the Lord Almighty has sent me."* (Zechariah 2:7-9)
Or in the next two verses. *Who is being sent,* and *who is sending him?*
"For *I am coming,* and I will live among you,” *declares the LORD.* “Many nations will be joined with the Lord in that day and will become my people. I will live among you and you will know that *the Lord Almighty has sent me to you."* (Zechariah 2:10-11)

@larysnw418 Larry, if you think that the Book of Ecclesaistes is what God is teaching us to believe then you would have to conclude that everything is meaningless, and that we basically have the same fate as a garden snail! (Ecclesiastes 3:19)
When scripture repeats something then you can be sure that God wants us to understand something. The phrase "under the sun" appears no less than 27 times throughout that book! THAT is what defines it's context. The book of Ecclesiastes is written from the hopeless, disillusioned perspective of life "under the sun". What happens above the sun is not included in the equation, which is why the author says that - "everything is meaningless"! God uses this book to help us understand how meaningless life on earth is without him.
Otherwise, do you really think that _THIS_ is what he wants us to believe:
"All share a common destiny - the righteous and the wicked, the good and the bad, the clean and the unclean" (Ecclesiastes 9:2)
You need to read the old testament in the light of the new, not the other way around:
"To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, he will give eternal life. But for those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow evil, there will be wrath and anger." (Romans 2:7-8)
If we only take our physical life into consideration what the author of Ecclesaistes says is absolutely true - the fate of one person is the same as the next. And when we die, the rewards that we experience during our physical lifetimes are no longer available to us. The knowledge of what happens "under the sun" is gone.
You should be listening to Jesus, not the Watchtower. Here is what Jesus says:
"But in the account of the burning bush, even Moses showed that the dead rise, for he calls the Lord ‘the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.’ *He is not the God of the dead, but of the living,* for to him all are alive.” (Luke 20:37-30)

There's a problem with the sentence "Jesus is not God." Many Protestants call Christ "the Son of God" because they should do that. But too often, they assume that "God" stands instead for God the Father. In fact, I've never heard a Protestant say "God the Son." Mr. White is an adopted son of God, not a natural one, since Our Lord is the Father's only natural one. So, distinctions are essential.

    • @williammcenaney1331
      @williammcenaney1331 Před 5 měsíci

@ngounphearak6266 No human person is all-knowing. Christ is a divine person who adopted a human nature. So, the Nestorian heretics are wrong. Christ is only one person. There aren't two persons sharing his body. His body is part of his human nature. The other part is his human soul. Since his soul is human, he has a human intellect and a human will. He's one person with two natures.
Catholics uses the Greek word "theotokos," which means "God bearer" and "mother of God. "hat's why a Protestant told me that if Mary was God's mother, she would be older than he. There are two problems with that opinion.
First, the Protestant may have meant God the Father. But no Catholic believes that God the Father. Second, "Mother of God" is short for "Mother of God the Son" when Catholics say "Mother of God." Since Christ is God the Son, Mary is his mother. He grew in her womb and he got his human nature from her. If you say Marry is Jesus's mother and that Jesus is not divine, you imply Jesus and Christ were two people or that Mary's son was only human. If he were only human and if I worshiped him, I'd be an idolator.

No, I’m referring to John 20:11 where in in his own words he said “my father, my God”. This is not trinity, it’s from the mouth of one of the so called trios. In no place did Jesus give an idea that he was the father nor even equal to the father. Many like to bring up the Greek language in some of the verses used for the trinity. However, many forget that also in Greek the words father and son have the same meaning as English. Father is always the greater, or makes be the Son. in non of the three biblical languages does father and son identify the same person. Also, it really surprises me that although its common knowledge the trinity was only made up in the fourth century, people stick to it as if it was a teaching of Jesus and Apostles. The greater part of Christianity has to admit they have been wrong and move on.

@@GerardoHernandez-cv2hm Scripture itself explains why Jesus _had_ to have a God:
"For this reason he had to be made like them, fully human in every way, *in order that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest **_IN SERVICE TO GOD,_* and that he might make atonement for the sins of the people." (Hebrews 2:17)
How could Jesus possibly be high priest "in service to God" unless he had a God to serve? And he did this not because he was not God himself, but in order to fulfill the legal requirements he needed to satisfy in order to be mediator between man and God.
And as for the Father being greater I posted this in another thread that you started, so either you missed it or chose to ignore it. Here it is again:
Guoting some of the things Jesus said does not prove anything unless we understand the reason why he said them.
Since Paul In Philippians 2 gives us an account of what immediately preceeded Jesus mission, we need to take a close look look at it:
Who, being in very nature God,
      did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage;
      rather, he made himself nothing
by taking the very nature of a servant,
      being made in human likeness.
And being found in appearance as a man,
      he humbled himself
      by becoming obedient to death-
even death on a cross! (Philippians 2:6-8)
Here we see transitioning from a position of equality with God, but not being able to "use it to his own advantage".
We also see that it is Jesus himself who "made himself nothing". He wasn't forced to do so due to his having a different nature from the Father or because he was lower in value than him. He took on the form of a servant - voluntarily.
So why would Jesus put aside his divine glory, his divine status, his divine privileges and volutarily take on a lesser form?
How could he do the things he did without making himself dependent on the Father?

But it actually isn’t “the first Bible that went around the world.” Were you aware that there were seven English translations of the Bible BEFORE the KJV was produced? (Coverdale’s Bible, Matthew’s Bible, Hollybushe’s Bible, The Great Bible, Cranmer’s Bible, The Bishop’s Bible and The Geneva Bible. And there were manuscripts before these)
The KJVersion was written in 1611. That’s 244 years after English started being spoken (sometime around 450 CE) People spoke Latin previously. And the Bible was in Latin. God’s Word needed to be translated from Latin into English. However, did God leave English speaking people without a Bible for 244 years waiting for the KJ to be written? No. So, contrary to popular belief, it’s not the one and only Bible written directly by God himself. And by the way, I mean no disrespect to the KJ Bible, I use it often along with many other Bible references. Btw: It was the Geneva Bible that was brought to America on the Mayflower and was used by the Puritans and Pilgrims in New England until gradually replaced by the KJ”Version”.

WHO IS THE HOLY GHOST ( the Holy Spirit of God)? ?
God, who is now the Father, was coCreator of all things In The Beginning with the Word ( later known as Jesus).
Later he made and authorized the making of the copies of those firsts to populate the heavens and the earth “I am the LORD God who makes all things” Isaiah 43:10 therefore coming into the world was to be ‘in God’ and God was God Almighty because of this history.
