- Today we will be walking tour from Kilburn high road to Willesden Lane. Kilburn is a down-to-earth multicultural district centred on busy Kilburn High Road, which is lined with mainstream stores, traditional pubs, and chain burger bars. Chinese, African, and Caribbean eateries serve the local community. The Kiln Theatre presents original drama and has a cinema, while the Gothic Revival-style, 19th-century St. Augustine’s Church features a towering spire and an impressive vaulted ceiling.
Kilburn is an area of north west London, England, which spans the boundary of two London Boroughs: Camden to the east and Brent to the west. There is also an area in the London Borough of Westminster, known as West Kilburn and sometimes treated as a distinct locality. Kilburn High Road railway station lies 3.5 miles (5.6 km) north-west of Charing Cross.

Grew up visiting my grandparents in this area in the 1970s.They lived at Watling Gardens. This video brings back great childhood memories. I can smell Kilburn Tube Station thru the screen!!
Lived in Sheriff Road Mt Quex Rd. Master Cutler used to steam by.The days of No Blacks, no dogs, no Irish. But Kilburn was the Irish heart of London.

Well Kilburn is technically in North London. And Willesden is in Northwest London. Plus good to see Kilburn station that has step-free access.
Kilburn is NW6 which is north west London , West Kilburn is W9 which is west London
They are both in North West London I live on Willesden Lane
I have never heard of West Kilburn and I am born n bred NW Londoner

The memories of Kilburn as a young Irish kid come flooding back once it was a part of Ireland 🇮🇪 we owned it. And yet black white all colours gave each other respect. Ok you always get a few arseholes but it was a good place. I travel over every now and then and I’m happy it’s thriving but I miss the old days. Back then the police where thugs every time a bomb went off hundreds of us would get our doors kicked in, and our heads. The police had a saying then innocent till proven Irish. Thanks for posting lol Ireland 🇮🇪💪.
