Whoo hoo, I am in my glory that you came out with this video tutorial. I jumped ahead and bought this paper pack and both of these gorgeous laces from your store a few weeks ago so now I really need to tell you this. The video does absolutely no justice to the beauty of these laces. They are both beyond breathtaking. You can not get a better lace to complete a keepsake wedding album. I found a beautiful lace and yes it was beautiful lace from my local store but it could not compete with the lace that you show here but the best part was that it was 3 3/4 " wide and only $ 179.99 a yard!!! I am not joking. Thats 5 bucks an inch! It could not hold a candle to yours that you sell. I was just amazed at the quality for your extremely reasonable price Shellie. I was going to use up some of the lace I have in my stash which probably is around a thousand yards of the stuff but when I saw this I had to get it and I am so glad I did because I have never seen the like and it makes the album look like a million bucks. It also makes for a fantastic trim for a bridal handbag or evening bag or........Thanks so much Shellie I am starting my album today. ((((((hugs))))))
+Cindy Laudico Wonderful!! I'm so happy you are pleased with the quality of the beaded sequin lace. The video quality (I'm learning) is very hard to capture true color due to lighting when I'm working with White. Came across dingy. Live and learn - I'll figure it out sooner or later. :) Very excited for you to start your wedding album - please send me pics when you have completed it. Happy Crafting!
Hi Shellie. I made this wedding album using a different paper stack. Oh my goodness it is gorgeous! It all came together so easy and with a perfect fit. Your tutorials are absolutely amazing! Everyone who has seen it just can't believe how beautiful it is. They are even going to display it at the wedding! I'm so grateful to you for your time, designs, and that you share with us. Thank you. You are so appreciated. 👍 😄 💐
Dear Shelley, I really appreciate your skills! I discovered this gorgeous album by chance just because a couple months before, I bought a " the promise" collection during a sale in a paper shop. Now, I was taking pips on CZcams wedding albums huge gallery and I met you! I really learned very much, above all, from your way to make tutorials... I think my sleeping "promise" is going to wake up! thank you so much!!! Hugs from Italy, Marcy
love this album, I made a mini album for my son & daughter n' law who eloped to Fiji to get married on a beach, using this gorgeous paper I purchased from you, and some beach themed embellishments. My first gatefold (not sure I would do another gate fold) loved working with the paper, it was so luxurious, really appreciated the fast shipping as I was on a deadline to get the album started and finished :)
Shellie, I AM SO EXCITED about this album. My hsb and I spent $3700.00 for our photographer, and we were dumb and paid him in cash BEFORE the wedding. We only got our proofs and that was after bugging him for a yr..YEP, he made off without giving us our video, our wedding album, the rest of our proofs, our airbrushed pictures and everything else he promised. I still get upset 18 yrs later, (word to the wise, never pay before the work is done, EVER!) Hubby and I were talking about this the other day. I NEED to make a album for our proofs. I have EVERYTHING you showed except the HC Berry and Blooms, die and stamp or the paper you showed at the beginning. I was lucky enough to work for Heartfelt Creations at our huge Craft show in my town last wkend, and I was paid in product. It was so much fun!!! (and all the free products I got was AMAZING) Yes, Emma Lou did say on one of her shows the tip I gave you about the magnets..Thank you for sharing it! Magnets are EXPENSIVE, esp when you use them like I do...DO YOU SELL this paper pack? I just love your video's and THANK YOU so much for sharing your great talents with us~
+Victoria Ciolek So sorry to hear about your wedding video and pictures. Yes, I do sell the First Edition The Promise paper pad. It's out of stock until the first week of June.
Another terrific album, Shellie - very elegant and swank! As always, you combine the techniques so beautifully. This is one (if not 'the') best wedding albums I've seen. Brava!
Hi Shellie, I'm pretty new to your blog. I been watch your channel and study your album I just love your albums you make its so beautiful, very elegant and clean. Plus I love your pleasant voice and you give should a good instruction. I love that..... 👍🏼😉
Love love love love love love love all your work you are amazingly creative and a great artist I am so glad to have found your channel thank you so much for sharing everything for absolutely nothing in return!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow! Thank you for sharing your fabulous wedding photo album, I would love to make one similar, but to be honest this is a little too indepth for me, but all the same I enjoyed watching your tutorial, I try to create my photo books, I have a long long way to reach your standard, thank you again for sharing your knowledge, very interesting tutorial.
Hi Shellie. I'm sry it has taken a few days to answer your email. The paper line I used for my wedding album is " Blush Glam" by Craft Smith. Gorgeous papers. I don't know how to send pics! The wedding dress was so elegant! They displayed the album at the wedding as the couple were so amazed at it. It did my heart good, and I thank you so much for your excellent tutorials. You are truly amazing. I am now in the process of making the baby albums. I was commissioned to make them from people viewing the wedding album. I will be paid for them. I am so excited! I am using the Mambi baby girl and baby boy paper packs I have had for a year. I am almost done with the girls. They are lovely. Thank you so much. I'm 71 and so loving scrapping and you help more than you know. Your work is so clean and neat looking. God bless you.
Hi shellie, love this album. I have made quite a few changes... I have a 5 inch spine. Wrapped my paper. I only did 4pages as I did a 1 inch gusset. So it turns out to be 10 pages....By doing a 5 inch spine it allows me to have a large larger gussets so I can add more flips and fold outs plus more embleshments. It is a quite large album...I plan on adding a waterfall feature, side pockets etc.... Thank you so much for your tutorials.... I will try to upload a photo to your facebook page. Have a great day...
Excelente es mi nota!que trabajo!ha sido un placer ver los detalles de éste album.PERFECTO!muchas gracias por compartir. Saludos desde Barcelona (Catalunya)
Beautiful! You should get some scissors that don't squeak for your videotaping. Thank you for the transitions past the redundant parts; if I decide to do the project, I can always pause while I trim corners, add tape, etc.
Hi Shellie I love all of your tutorials, they are immensely inspiring and have helped me to tackle and make my very 1st mini album for my daughter - thank you. Can I ask what glue gun you use for your projects please? I have been looking but unsure whwther to go fo a hot glue gun, cool melt or a combo gun - your advice would be appreciated. I bought mine at Joanns. It's the cheapest model they carry . I think it comes in pink or blue. It's a Low Temp glue gun that you can use the multi-temp glue sticks. With Low Temp you have to be quick so the glue doesn't cool faster than you can tack something, however, it eliminates blistering yourself like with a high temp. I tend to get my fingers into glue sometimes, so Low Temp is the only one I use now :)
Hi Shellie, I'm pretty new to your blog. I been watching your channel and study your album I just love your albums you make its so beautiful, very elegant and clean. Plus I love your pleasant voice and you give should a good instruction. I love that..... 👍🏼😉. Do you make a rough draft first or you just make a up page by page. I just love all the people you makes the album how they come out with it's an amazing. I only make a shell and then I froze and stop......😬🙁
+Kimberlypurple Pearl Hi Kimberly. When I make these albums, I make them as I go. It's when I get the paper in my hands is when the ideas come to mind what I want to do. I don't sketch, but like for this (since it was a tutorial), I wrote down a few things on a note pad of where I wanted to place a few things.
Hi Shellie I bought the paper from your store its a 8x8 paper pack I have looked cannot find the 12x12 paper will the 8x8 work for this album I have everything except the 12x12. I love all your tutorials. I watch all of them and I have made a lot of your albums. I just love them and you are a wonderful teacher. please keeping doing the tutorials. you are just wonderful. Thank you for all you do.
Bev - If you've made these mini albums before, you can make the 8 x 8 paper pad work for this tutorial :) I just don't recommend a beginner who's never made one to use the 8 x 8 because they need the 12 x 12 and follow me on the cutting.
Hi Shellie! i hope you feel good. i'd like you to thank you so much for sharing with us your techniques they're great 😍 could you please tell me what's medium size means for the chipboard? i living in France and here we usually talk about grams 😊 thank you again and have a great day ahead!
The chipboard is called Medium weight chipboard. My vendor's label doesn't give grams or much info other than "medium weight". But, this might help - It's about 1/16" thick. There's "light weight" "medium weight" or "Heavy weight" when describing chipboard thickness/durability that I've seen around here. Light weight is like the chipboard backing of paper pads. Heavy Weight is like hard-covered books you buy at the book store and they are thicker material. Medium falls right under Heavy weight. Any chipboard that's got durability will work but don't use the "light weight" stuff you get in the back of paper pads. Your cover will bend and warp.
Good morning She,llie. I have two questions for you. I have been asked by my daughter to make a wedding album for her. I want to make one like yours but not as many pages. Not sure how to do the spine and measurements. It also has to be in beige and dusty rose colors, so can I use different paper and still do this album? Any help would be appreciated. I do so love your work. It's amazing. Thank you Shellie.
Beautiful album Shellie. Do you know when you will be getting more of the designer paper. I need to make an album for my sons wedding and just love this tutorial. Thank for sharing. Hugs, Susan
Hi. There are no frames to "slide a photo behind" in this design. You just glue your photos down. The paper is acid and lignon free so it won't harm your photos when coming into contact with it. The first page - inside cover, there is a round frame and you can use the spellbinders die I used or a circle template to cut your photo to fit. On the 2nd page there is a large rectangle frame you cut your photo to fit. You can always cut your photo to fit, then die cut another piece to lay as a frame over to cover any edges of your photo.
Also, here is a video of a completed album I did some time ago where it shows photo placement. It's an every day album, however, it can give you some ideas. czcams.com/video/whTu5Wvn5rA/video.html
Most beautiful album ever seen, i love it. How and where to get all this things from the material list. Do you ship to Germany? Thanks for sharing Shellie.
+Walburga B. Hi and thank you. Our website now services international customer which includes several countries, including Germany. Here's the website www.jshobbiesandcrafts.com
Beautiful work, as usual!! 2 questions . . . How is this hinge system different from your earlier tutorials? What is the purpose of the shorter last page? Thanks -Cindy
Hi, love the album. What is the name of the Martha Stewart edge punch you use for the front and back of the binder? I will be placing my order with your store shortly. Thanks again for the wonderful tutorial.
Hi, love your Albums and your tutorials are really clear and concise. Thank you so much. I have a query though, as the Tyvek you use is made of high-density polyethylene fibres (HDPE),wouldnt the tape or glue weasily peel off?. regards Lyn
Zoos morning She,lie. I have two questions for you. I have been asked by my daughter to make a wedding album for her. I want to make one like yours but not as many pages. Not sure how to the spine and measurements. It also has to be in brigand dusty rose colors so can I use different paper and still do this album? Any help would be appreciated. I do so love your work. It's amazing. Thank you Shellie.
You can use any paper you'd like. :) If you want less pages, just put one less sheet of paper in the book then space the hinges out before adhering them. If there is too much of a gap, you can decrease your spine size to 3-1/2" instead of 4". You can use a light pencil mark on your spine to mark where your page hinges need to be placed.
Hi Shellie, are most of the photo mats you make to fit in this album a standard 6" by 4" or larger, or do they come up smaller than that? I didn't hear whether you mentioned this on the video.
I used several sizes. 5 x 7, 4 x 6, 5 x 6, etc. There is variety. I leave the sizes up to the person making the tutorial albums because everyone has their own taste in what size photo's they like or want to crop :)
Hello, I am French. My English is not perfect. This album is just beautiful. I will do my wedding and get inspired from your album. Could you tell me how many photographs can it contain? Thank you very much. Thank you for your sharing and your album tutorials, it helps me a lot to make mine. Lily of France
I'm at home right now and the album is on display at the store. I'm filming another tutorial right now but when I get there, I will flip through the album. I'm guessing well over 50 but I will double check and get back to you. :)
Shellie, I'm concerned about the weight of the pages tearing where they are attached to the album. Have you had any trouble with tearing. Can tyvek be placed on those as well so over time they won't tear?
Hi Cathleen. I've had mini albums for years and never had them tear. In fact, all my tutorial albums are on the shelf at the hobby store on display for people to open and view. I've had alot of hands on them, even dropped on the floor and none have torn. Every 3 months I have them inspected by my employees to make sure no one has ripped out pages or damaged them. They've all held up over time and are just as nice as when they were made. You can use 65# cardstock or 110 # cardstock. 110# cardstock is thicker and you may prefer that. I use 110 lb cardstock on occasion. Michaels craft store carries the 110# cardstock value packs. I've never used Tyvek on the page hinges before because it's not necessary. I hope I've been of some help. Please write back if I didn't answer all your questions or you have further concern.
+Paulette Dunston I don't have a cutting guide. If you are needing help with measurements, I DO have a short tutorial "Help With Measurements" that might be useful. visit my youtube channel czcams.com/users/shelliegeigle and you will find it there.
Shellie I was just asked to make one of these albums. But I have a couple of questions. If the First Editions Paper is no longer available what else would you suggest and the customer wants me to add at least 10 extra pages so that she can have the little sentiment hearts that were filled out by her guests added to the album. She went through CZcams and found your channel featuring the wedding album and figured that since I had done other items for her before I could just whip this right on up for her. I'm glad she has faith in me, but I'm not sure if I do. She wants it just like what she saw on your channel. Then the kicker, she asked me for a price. I have no clue on how to charge for something like this. I also have to make a box for her to store it in. That I can do. Again the catch is that it has to look just like the album...I can see sleepless nights now!
Hi Deborah - The First Edition The Promise paper hasn't been discontinued that I'm aware of. Did you hear that somewhere because we have an order in for it with our vendor and it's showing on back order - nothing mentioned of discontinued. For your 2nd question. OMG, 10 more pages to add to it? Wow.. That's already quite the album. You'll have to expand the spine quite a bit to accommodate. I don't have any measurements to give you for what the spine should be but you can figure it out by math or by cutting 10 more pages, preparing the page hinges and figuring out what your spine width should be from there. I can't tell you what to charge and I would never dictate a price to anyone. I can only tell you the last two I made and sold were each over $200
Shellie Geigle - J & S Hobbies and Crafts I greatly appreciate your help. Math was never a my strong suit but do appreciate the answer. I'll get back at it in the morning. No ma'am. I hadn't heard that the paper was discontinued. I just wondering if you knew where I could find it as it is hard to find. But thank you for your time and many beautiful albums you've made.
Shelly, I have done most of your albums and have been looking forward to doing this one. I am partially deaf in both ears and was wondering if there is anyway for me to get close caption on this video like the other albums.
It's been discontinued I believe. I've been unable to get it back in stock since it's an older one. You may want to try searching on Amazon or Ebay for it. Wish I could be of more help. It truly is beautiful paper.
Shellie I followed your instructions to the letter but have the pages are even but not spaced correctly as I have a wider gap at the back by the half page and a smaller gap at the front by the crease.. I don't know if that is right. There is only about a 16th of an inch in front. And X an1/4 an inch in the back.
Yes, I thought there were plenty in stock. I will check when I get to the store and see if they have some in back inventory to put in there. If not, I'll be ordering more. Thanks for letting me know.
Hi Shellie is the Coordination's Value Pack Cardstock 12"X12" 20/Pkg-Great White-Smooth any good to use for the wedding album and out of curious the Black Cat Card Stock is these 65 pounds? am hearing that the more weight you use is better but am finding it my self the more weight on the card stock its harder to fold and score but ever since you introduce me too the black cat I like it and I have stacks of it because its what I like but as far as the wedding album I just wanted to know if u think the Coordination's Value Pack Cardstock 12"X12" 20/Pkg-Great White-Smooth is good to use for these tutorial Thank You Shellie
In the wedding album, I believe I only used a couple sheets of the white 12 x 12 coredinations. it's a 65# as well. The rest was with a 65# white 8.5 x 11 cardstock value pack
We are out of stock of them and won't be bringing in more but give Joanns or Michaels craft stores a try, If you don't find the exact ones, just take a peak at what they have available that you like .. If you still can't find them, try amazon.com :)
Probably not. However - You can use this tutorial for an engagement album though. Instead of titling it "our Wedding" or something like that, you can title it "Our Engagement" and then use the format in the album. Omit things you don't want in your engagement album that I've put in this album. Would come out great!
Tyvek is a very strong paper. We mostly find them in Envelope form and then we cut strips off them. Here is Tyvek jshobbiesandcrafts.com/product/tyvek-envelopes-10-x-13-package-5/
Shellie, can you recommend another paper besides the promise for this album. I want to use this paper to make one for myself, but was planning to do one for my parents but didnt want to use the same paper.
I'm not sure which one to recommend. Do you have a Joanns craft store or a Michaels near you? If so, try visiting one of those places to see if they've got anything. I know sometimes they've got wedding paper there. Note: When buying a paper pad and it only has 24 sheets, you'll need to buy 2 pads. See if there is one available with 36 or more sheets.
I'm living in the West Indies so anything I buy will have to be online and I'm therefore not in a position to feel material or see the true beauty hence my request for your recommendation.
I understand. I don't have any alternative recommendations off the top of my head. You might check on Amazon or Ebay and do a search for Wedding paper and see if any catches your eye that you like. If you are unsure about the brand you are buying (paper quality, thickness ) please message me and I can see if I've got experience working with the paper you are looking to buy :) anything to help
Hi Shellie will you be ordering some white peacock paper pad for the binding I went to Joann's and holly hobby and even Michael's and 2 craft stores no one had it
I am not sure. They are working on it. I've got 3 people involved in trying to figure out what happened. Until then, you can shop at my ebay store stores.ebay.com/jshobbiesandcrafts/

Bonjour ...

Hi Shellie ...this is gourgous .....how many pictures will the album hold
Hi Shellie! i hope you feel good. i'd like you to thank you so much for sharing with us your techniques they're great 😍
could you please tell me what's medium size means for the chipboard? i living in France and here we usually talk about grams 😊
thank you again and have a great day ahead!
Thanks :)
I love your tutorials will you be doing a baby album?
+lladytrue Yes. I have that on my list to do
Beautiful album Shellie. Do you know when you will be getting more of the designer paper. I need to make an album for my sons wedding and just love this tutorial. Thank for sharing. Hugs, Susan
+Susan Glass currently the paper is on back order. Expected to ship to my store 5/25 - so around June 1st i'm hoping :)
MARAVILHOSO!!!
thank you
But inside the front cover and other frames in the album by the way your work is magnificent love it I just watch the first part thank you
Here's the website www.jshobbiesandcrafts.com
thank you Shellie, i will try it.
oke thank you so much
Beautiful work, as usual!! 2 questions . . . How is this hinge system different from your earlier tutorials? What is the purpose of the shorter last page? Thanks -Cindy
Hi Cindy. The shorter page on the last is just a design ..
Hi, love the album. What is the name of the Martha Stewart edge punch you use for the front and back of the binder? I will be placing my order with your store shortly. Thanks again for the wonderful tutorial.
I used Martha Stewart's 1/2" punch which comes in the combo pack. It's called Flourish Lace
thank you so much for sharing :)
You are so welcome!
@@ShellieGeigle greetings from Belgium :)
beautiful
Thank you
I cannot find Part 2 of this tutorial. Can you post the link? I love your work !
Hi Becki. Here are all the links to each part. Part 2 : czcams.com/video/bC31W4xnRZA/video.html
Part 3: czcams.com/video/SMnqNKdQG1U/video.html
Hi, love your Albums and your tutorials are really clear and concise. Thank you so much. I have a query though, as the Tyvek you use is made of high-density polyethylene fibres (HDPE),wouldnt the tape or glue weasily peel off?. regards Lyn
Mine doesn’t peel up.
this is so beautiful. Do you think there is enough paper if I were to make it a 9 x 9? I didn't see how much you had left over?
There should be plenty to make a 9 x 9 album in this paper stack.
Shellie, This is very pretty, where can I purchase the lace you used on the front cover?
+Laurie Trefethen www.jshobbiesandcrafts.com
Hi Shellie, are most of the photo mats you make to fit in this album a standard 6" by 4" or larger, or do they come up smaller than that? I didn't hear whether you mentioned this on the video.
I used several sizes. 5 x 7, 4 x 6, 5 x 6, etc. There is variety. I leave the sizes up to the person making the tutorial albums because everyone has their own taste in what size photo's they like or want to crop :)
I watched another of your tutorials where you show a photo album you made with your own photos in it. I get the idea now, thanks :)
Hello,
I am French. My English is not perfect.
This album is just beautiful. I will do my wedding and get inspired from your album.
Could you tell me how many photographs can it contain? Thank you very much.
Thank you for your sharing and your album tutorials, it helps me a lot to make mine.
Lily of France
Thank you . I don't have an exact number of photos that can fit. It can fit a lot. It all depends on what size photos, and how you want to place them.
Thank you very much for your answer. I will do it because I like it very much and I will see well with my photos.
Hey Shellie, how many 4x6 pics do you think this album will hold comfortably
I'm at home right now and the album is on display at the store. I'm filming another tutorial right now but when I get there, I will flip through the album. I'm guessing well over 50 but I will double check and get back to you. :)
thank you very much. and you are such an inspiration
Could you PLEASE link a cutting guide....nice album TIA
Hola Estoy buscando los recortables que utilizas para este álbum podrías ayudarme muchísimas gracias
gracias
Shelly, I have done most of your albums and have been looking forward to doing this one. I am partially deaf in both ears and was wondering if there is anyway for me to get close caption on this video like the other albums.
Thank you Georgia. I tried turning it on but it’s so old it’s not working for some reason.
@@ShellieGeigle Thank you so much for trying, I appreciate it.
Hi Shellie, really love the papers for this album... I notice you don't sell this stack in your store..any ideas?
or where can I get it?
It's been discontinued I believe. I've been unable to get it back in stock since it's an older one. You may want to try searching on Amazon or Ebay for it. Wish I could be of more help. It truly is beautiful paper.
Shellie I followed your instructions to the letter but have the pages are even but not spaced correctly as I have a wider gap at the back by the half page and a smaller gap at the front by the crease.. I don't know if that is right. There is only about a 16th of an inch in front. And X an1/4 an inch in the back.
Hello. Love your tutorial. I am new to this craft and I do not know what tyvek is or where to purchase. I would sure appreciate your help. Thank you.
Hi Lorri. Here is a link to it so you can see and read description better it better jshobbiesandcrafts.com/product/tyvek-envelopes-10-x-13-package-5/
Hi can you tell me the weight off the paper you use as we buy it in gm not in pounds thanks Margaret.
Hi Margaret. For solid colored cardstock, you can use 65# cardstock, or even better use 110# cardstock
How much of the bigger lace do you suggest?
shellie will you be getting any more lace for the wedding album on ebay? I need all the lace you are using
Yes, I thought there were plenty in stock. I will check when I get to the store and see if they have some in back inventory to put in there. If not, I'll be ordering more. Thanks for letting me know.
am so sorry Shellie I don't know what's wrong with me omg ! the lace is there I have too type it in in order for it to show up on eBay am so sorry
The rest was with a 65# white 8.5 x 11 cardstock value pack
can i use cardstock instead of tyveck?
Hi. I use Tyvek so there's no chance of the binding coming apart. You could use 110 lb cardstock instead. Some people don't use tyvek
Shellie please, can you tell me where I can buy the details of, rings, bell etc. Thanks a lot 🙏😘😘
We are out of stock of them and won't be bringing in more but give Joanns or Michaels craft stores a try, If you don't find the exact ones, just take a peak at what they have available that you like .. If you still can't find them, try amazon.com :)
Thank you very much 😘😘
Will you ever make an engagement album tutorial?
Probably not. However - You can use this tutorial for an engagement album though. Instead of titling it "our Wedding" or something like that, you can title it "Our Engagement" and then use the format in the album. Omit things you don't want in your engagement album that I've put in this album. Would come out great!
What is tyvek?
If you are unsure about the brand you are buying (paper quality, thickness ) please message me and I can see if I've got experience working with the paper you are looking to buy :) anything to help
i really like to make this for somebody if I can where can I buy the paper thank u
Hi Bonnie. Here is the link to The Promise paper pad . Have fun making this album. jshobbiesandcrafts.com/?product_cat=first-edition
