It feels so weird hearing him talk in a normal British accent
So true
[Optional] It feels so weird hearing him talk in a normal human accent
I'll be honest i just thought it was just a particularly wacky british accent
@@havencanfield4653 I thought he was Swedish
I knew realistically that Jazz Emu was a persona and not a real name, but it is still strange to be presented with actual person
And his name _still_ exudes the same energy. _Archie Henderson. Like, oh my GOD._
Agreed. Yeah, my mind is a little blown that he's like... a normal real person, but it makes sense in hindsight that Jazz Emu is a character
im keeping up the kayfabe
Wait until you find out about what actors do for a living….
Warning: Jazz emu songs are impossible to get out of your head
I’ve never been the kind of person to get a song stuck in my head like that, but I discovered jazz emu, two weeks ago, and my mother recently asked me what I’ve been singing constantly for the past few weeks. That’d be jazzy boy, mum. A legend.
Very true. I’m _still_ receiving a call - but I’m already on a call.
_Oh, god._
It's true.
I'm still waiting for the DVD logo....... You're welcome 😁
You just gotta vibe it out man
The "Please don't text me when I'm drunk" was the first time I saw Emu. His was definitely one of the better results. Shmomp.
I think my first was English Language
Gronky scripples
My first Jazz Emu wasn't even a song, it was "Sorry I don't work here"
Scientist still have yet to listen to
Mine was pineapples.
I can not begin to tell you how much joy Jazz Emu brings me.
I had a suspicion that he was cute, but I didn't think he would be this cute.
it's a smile that'll melt your heart, it's incredible.
I’m quite devastated by how adorable his normal speaking voice & mannerisms are
Having met him in real life, he is quite charming. it is slightly offset by the fact that he's like seven feet tall. Truly a towering dude
@@pyroduck HE’S WHAT???? I KNEW HE LOOKED LANKY BUT IDK HE ALSO IS JUST A SCRUNGLY LIL DUDE!
@@liketheTaj seven may be an exaggeration, and the 70’s style does incorporate higher than average heels, but yes, he is extraordinarily skrunkly
Jazz emu's normal voice makes me think I took too many grunky skripples
SHMOMP!
I think the biggest shock (for me) is that his last name actually *is* Henderson!
My brothe
For me it's that he doesn't dress like this outside of his videos lol
Yeah I always thought the name "Henderson" was weirdly formatted in that video because he'd pasted a random name over his actual name in the email
@@laylaruan I thought it was because he'd pasted his name over the name of the person who actually received the emails and posted the screenshots online.
If he really did receive them, now I'm confused.
@@MetaKaios It was all made up as a parody for those kinds of scam emails. The Nigerian Prince that has money to send you, and fake blackmail scams
Another taskmaster contestant acquainted with Jazz Emu. get him on the show!
Oh my God, if he was in character, it would be glorious!
Oh definitely!
His editor is also an editor on Taskmaster; it’s only a matter of time!
richards genuine fanboying for jazz emu made me check him out and im so glad i did. thank you richard for your top comedy recommendations!
When I met him after one of his live shows and he spoke in his normal voice, I was a little taken aback. Such a lovely guy
Everyone seems most surprised to hear him not sounding like a jet-setting, old-timey, vaguely European aristocrat, but for me it's the incredibly Regular Outfit that's _really_ throwing me for a loop. But it's so nice to get a glimpse into the actual person behind the Emu.
Also, Richard's hair is so lovely
It's surreal seeing him out of character. Like obviously there was a relatively normal guy behind it, but like, it's still weird.
Today is the day on which I've learnt the name of the man behind Jazz Emu, and I have to ask: Is there a name more astonishingly British than Archibald Henderson?
Eggerson Keaveney
I wanna spend the afternoo-hoo-hoon, kickin' it back straight up cruisin' with Archibald Henderson... such a funny du-hu-hude I feel so relaxed when he does his semi-hourly comedyin'...
1:05 there he is... oh there he went
Legend says this version of him is actually an alter ego designed to be accepted by modern society whereas he can be his true self in his videos
excellent choice of guest Mr. Richard sir... get him back on to discuss how Jazz will create World Peace (and save the planet) through his funky grooves 👍
Jazz emu been my top artist since he debuted, absolutely love this guy!! He’s so good. Glad he’s getting recognition
I just thought he was like that
I had just briefly forgotten about shmomp after having the drunk skit stuck in my head for a full week.
Aaaaaand back to square one.
it's so weird hearing him talk normally
Archie Henderson is the kind of innocuous name that celebrated Bebop musicians from the 40s and 50s always turn out to have
Saw him live a few months ago and he was awesome I hope he comes back soon I can’t believe he really received those emails 😂 brilliant and so original congrats Archie and team for the awesome videos ❤
I got into Jazz Emu with the "Crog" video and I've been hooked ever since
Wanted to watch this because I saw him live once opening for another artist, love his stuff. Surprised by the Joe Jackson reference in the beginning, I won’t lie. I’ve been listening to a Night & Day album on loop for awhile
WAIT IT WAS HIS EMAIL
you didn't know?
@@dermanater of course not
oh my god his real accent is so cute
I thought Archie had a more Scottish accent for some reason! Loved Jazz Emu since first stumbling across him in lockdown. Genius, better than Weird Al, and genuine original musical talent 😂.
I would love to meet him one day, absolutely fantastic musician and creator
I absolutely love jazz emu
Got to see him perform before TWRP in Amsterdam, and talked to him a bit after the show, super nice dude
Love to see some insight into this jazzy fella. The music is great, has been stuck in my head for about a month straight.
Wait- Henderson was infact a real person in "my brothe"
It's Emu's alter ego
God he looks like such an Archie😂
Love his music, loved his live show - fantastic comedy
I actually thought the accent (german) was real 😂
his eyes are gorgeous
i thoght that he was actually using his real voice in the pilot lol
I totally assumed he was Australian.
Nice
Does anyone feel a slight sense of disappointment that he's a "normal" human being?
no
Jazz Emu’s not his real name? 🥺
Ha, I honestly had no idea this guy was English, I assumed he was from central Europe somewhere.
*vaguely wafts hand around a map of the European continent*
Hello.
ngl I didn't even know he had a public identity besides jazz emu. like obviously he's a real person but I'm used to a lot of online folks just. Being their personas and keeping themselves pretty private.
He’s gotta be taking either some Grunky Scripples or Shmomp cuz Jazz ain’t acting normal. Where’s his succulent deep British voice?
I’m genuinely so surprised that he’s English! Totally assumed he was a Kiwi for some reason
Omg Mr Emu is a real person?
Crazy to see Jazz Emu pretending to be normal
Weird how the interviewer is talking more than the interviewee
It’s a chat not an interview.
what's with the weird canned laughter??
That’s the audience
Im calling the cops delete this now
I saw a couple of weeks ago, when you had the Markus Birdman on, that you were saying you absolutely can do any comedy and the snowflake thing wasn't really really isn't real. You should get Graham Linehan on again and discuss his situation, be good to see him supported.
No it wouldn't,he's mad and noone likes him lol
@@MannyJazzcats I strongly disagree, as would many, and I believe many would label you "mad".
How sad that Richard would allow a former guest and fellow comedian be labelled as mad in his comment section, for the crime of wrong-think. I can only assume he is afraid of being accused of the same.
@@user-qk5ux6mk2x just carry on having a conversation about the virtues of Graham Linehan with yourself, your clearly as deluded as he is
@@user-qk5ux6mk2x Ask his wife and kids what they think. Because he can’t. 😂
