I personally would not want to go through the buying or selling process without a realtor that I trust

I can’t blame you there! It can be quite a stressful experience in a lot of situations. While people can handle all of the business of getting it done with their own efforts, we are here to streamline the process and provide guidance.

That just sounds insane.. charging the home sellers to pay not just the people that are selling their home.. but the buyers as well... Why on earth would I pay the people that make money from getting people to buy my house. It's easy if the buyer agent doesn't sell houses they make no money, that's their incentive.

The thought behind offering compensation to the buyers’ agent was to increase the pool of potential buyers for your home for sale. I like how this is no longer going to be a requirement, and sellers have the freedom to market their home as they wish. Serious home sellers will still choose to offer this incentive to attract buyers and reach their goal of getting their house sold. We shall see how it all plays out!

Thanks for explaining this Justin, I wondered how it was all going to work. Enjoy your videos.

    Buyer forms never got popular.
Imagine sellers still offer incentives on a signed agreement but buyer agent will need to make calls or visit a website. Serious sellers will pay buyer agents to move a property just like developers pay incentives. Stupid rule telling sellers they can't show incentives on MLS, will only slow sales.

I agree that sellers may still choose to offer these incentives to get their home sold. Not only will they have their listing agent working to get the house sold, but the agents that work hard to bring a buyer will get rewarded as well. Yeah, it’s more costly, but the seller’s goal is achieved.
I suppose the reason it won’t be readily visible is so that buyer agents won’t “steer” buyers to certain properties with higher commissions offered. Now we get that extra step to check to see if it’s available.
I can foresee that the option of offering compensation to the buyer’s broker or not may be dictated by current supply/demand levels.
I am trying to stay open minded to the change, and I hope it works out well for buyers and sellers.

@@_dickey okay but developers have a million tricks to bring incentives to realtors from partial payments to much higher fees plus buyer incentives. That will be advertised so the resale is at a huge disadvantage in the government telling people how to market their home. If I'm selling I should be able to offer what I want and promote it through MLS because I like to win and sell fast. Most of this audience has no clue how business works in the real world.

Hmm probably was inevitable now that the buyers can do their own shopping for the homes and have less dependency on an agent.
I will probably still offer the buyer agent commission.

@@PatrickSteil I would. Goal is sell and sell fast, we all compete. I like in and out and let the buy owner types figure out the real world. Most people don't go straight to sellers for a variety of reasons. People used to use neighborhood realtors, now they bring in someone with no clue from out of area or out of state, laughable how the internet has watered down local talent.

Haha. That’s funny that you brought that up. As I was reviewing the footage, I noticed how often I was checking over my shoulder. It’s a mixture of me being situationally aware and my discomfort of recording myself in public.
