- Head coach Emma Hayes made a successful debut with the U.S. women’s national team, watching Mallory Swanson and Tierna Davidson both score twice in a 4-0 win over South Korea in a friendly match on Saturday.
The US. squad steadily found its rhythm, with Swanson and Davidson breaking through in the first half and again in the second.
The 47-year-old Hayes was brought on board in November but joined the team this week in Colorado after finishing out the Women’s Super League season with Chelsea. She’s trying to quickly learn the roster before picking a team for the Paris Olympics this summer.

Congrats to you coach Emma Hayes on first cap first victory with the USWNT!!! 🌹👍
The girls clearly have shown much improvement, Credit to you coach Hayes.
Like you said this is the beginning. They have much to learn a lot more than just inside the pitch. The area that seems slacking off in the past.
The sky is the limit for you girls USWNT under Emma Hayes. Be your best!!!
Go team USA !!! 🌹💖⚽️🇺🇸👍🤩
Love Emma Hayes. Her guidance is critical for taking this young team forward
Good luck Emma and USA. It was not good to think of them going in the wrong direction. I reckon Emma will have the rest of the world trying to improve to catch up once again, if the US do the learning she spoke of.
I really hope the NFL supporting, hard working, down to earth US folk take to Emma as someone not unlike them and with that take to football to produce the sort of young players that will take the game to the next level that side of the pond.
You beat S Korea. 😂😂😂. Try playing Spain or England who beat you recently
@@Luckie666I am English and have been saying in comments that US need to improve or get left behind, but with Emma they have a good chance of heading back in the right direction, to quote from her.
Can she be our USMNT Coach, hahaha. We can only dream.
Well done Emma
Bro how is this only coming now 😭😭😭
You do not understand how hard it is to get all this footage from all over the world and timezones. I wasn't able to get the full press conference last night and I received it today.
@@BeanymanSports3 fair enough 👌
