The Polish Army put up a great fight. No one is denying that. It's only when we talk about relatively speaking of the timeline of WWII, do we think of Poland folding quickly. They were just outnumbered and out-maneuvered in many areas. The Polish defenders have nothing to be ashamed about and deserve all the honors.
Do more of these please!!! The music is great and the history important!
13:45 Fun fact. Last succesful polish cavalry charge was in 1945 at Shoenfeld
Greetings from Poland ! ⬜🟥Thank you for this episode
Some one did the math, and though 40:1 (the ratio, not the song) was popularized. The odds are actually closer to 50:1 or even 60:1. Meaning the polish troops are even *more* badass than the song suggests.
I honestly was not expecting this. But I am pleasantly surprised that you found perhaps one of my absolute favorite bands and are doing reactions to their videos.
Also, happy thanksgiving. Not sure if you Canadians celebrate it or not, but even if ya don’t, then I hope you had a wonderful day. :3
We do celebrate although a month earlier because winter comes sooner here so the harvest is usually earlier! But Thanks, happy thanksgiving to you as well!
The Wehrmacht Leasons Learned resulted in the restructuring of Light and Panzer Divisions. The Panzers were changed to a 4:4 mix of Panzer to Infantry Battalions from a 6:2 ratio. The Light Divs were converted to Panzer Divs of the new structure with thier Horse Cav replaced with Panzers.
Welcome to the Sabaton family! 🥰
19:50 they played at Woodstock Poland in front of over 600,000 people and had a fuckin super ginormous overly huge Polish flag 🇵🇱 roll out over the crowd 🤘
i think a lot of countries were lagging behind a bit for multiple reasons, but frankly its not much different than today.
take tanks for example, if you look at countries today, very few actually make tanks, and when you look at smaller or poorer countries they tend to have old tanks sold to them at a reduced price, i mean ive seen places like burma still using british tanks from WW2, and even countries with money will just put in orders with one of the big manufacturers starts building a new model of a tank, ship, plane, gun, etc
now look back at WW2 and add the fact that.
1)tanks had only been around for 20 years
2)you would need money to build the factories needed to produce tanks
3)you would need a way to get the resources needed
4)of course you need money.
5)half of europe was just recently given independance from the empires of WW1
so these countries would not have had time to build up the economy and manufacturing it would take to produce a brand new tech like tanks, and with it being so new there wasnt really any old models going around on the cheap.
Metal + History! Let's go!
Didn't notice you had done this thanks 🤣🇵🇱
