Im a casual Gamer, I did my research & bought this Tv online before it “Hit the shelves “ a couple months ago after almost going for a “better brand “ (sams 8 series/lg 7k) but regardless I felt the TCL was more bang4buck especially the brightness range, I am a happy costumer I love my TCL 5 & wouldn’t trade it for anything , love we can agree on that, great reviews btw 🥂 cheers.
Just picked up this model after reading numerous reviews and watching CZcams videos. Cost $429.99 at Best Buy. Being delivered this Wed. June 22, 2022. Can hardly wait. Anticipation! Even ordered a VESA table top stand as I have a TCL Sound bar which doesn’t fit under my current (older) 40” TCL TV. Spent several hours on Saturday stooping in at Walmart & Best Buy looking at the TVs on display and this one appeared the best. Keep up the great videos.
Great review of this TV. Just got mine a 75 inch and it's very good. Much better then the Hisense u6h that I had for only a week that was a disappointment. I should have listened to your review. Its really great using my Xbox series x. No need to get the 120 htz. 60 htz runs fine. Thank you again.
@USMC19777 I had bought a Hisense tv from Costco the year before and that tv was great. But when this one was on sale at Best buy I jumped on the deal and when I hooked it up to my Xbox Series X I couldn't get the calibrations right, there was a lag in the game's that I was playing no matter what I did. I ended up taking it back to best buy and got a TCL and was very satisfied with my 75 inch. And still loving it watching my kid play Sniper Elite 5 right now.
Just got the tcl q series 55 inch I absolutely love it. Both nintendo switch and Xbox series S look amazing it is hands down the best smart consumer choice
Just bought the 55 inch from Costco in Canada for 499 with a 3 year extended warranty for an extra 30 dollars. Listening to your review on the way home I cant wait to plug this in and watch Loki. Great music choice as well!
I still have the 2020 model 535 and it's a fantastic HDMI 2.0 set and fantastic TV for the price. I picked up a Hisense U7G just last week, because I wanted VRR and 120 hz, plus 1000 nits out of HDMI 2.1. You will not be disappointed with either panel for the price.

@@Nachoforpresident I would pick up the smaller Hisense. Both are Qled and 10 bit displays, but the Hisense is much brighter, thus much better at offering what's demanded for HDR. The Hisense is fully Hdmi 2.1, supports VRR, etc. It's an amazing TV for the price. If you can, purchase from Costco, for they have the best warranty after a sale too...cheers!

The google one is on sale because lots of people have been complaining OS is laggy and they had to pull the TV's to do an OS update for a bit to fix some issues........ Still I think it's worth it for the price you aren't gonna find same quality ...let alone better at the 200$ price range... And if you don't plan to use the TV for apps it shouldn't be an issue...
Just bought the 55 inch at best buy for $419. Can't go wrong there cyber Monday deal. I have a Samsung 55 inch that I paid $2000 for a few years back and said I'd never do that again. Learning is fun lol.

I bought this tv 8 days ago, BEWARE! I'm already having issues with turning it on and getting sound but a black screen. Now that I've been researching the problem I see a TON of other buyers are having the same issue. So far all I need to do is turn it off and then back on again but I have a feeling it will get worse, glad I bought Best Buys 2 year warranty.

I don't see anything else even close in price that is qled, seems like an easy win to just spend a little more. I have bought and returned 2 very budget TVs and the quality on them was just so bad..made me realize going cheap on a TV just is not the way to go!!
You can always buy the better remote (about $20) for it since its a Roku TV and uses a standard roku remote. I did that with mine so you get voice and don't have to point it at the screen to use it.
I seen an open box for a 65" 4 series in 2023. They said you could only get 5 series on their website. They only carry class 4 in stores. Best Buy has the $58" class 4 for $320 in 2023 & that's marked down for clearance, so you may have seen the 4 series. Since the 5 isn't too old
it has a 2022 model on Amazon it seems to have similar specs QLED screen and 60hz and I left a few comments on Amazon and people told me it's not good for gaming and someone sade say it was blurry when playing games do you think the model is fine just people not being honest
Hi, hows the viewing angles? fyi we normally watch regular tv programming and occacionally netflix but nothing 4k crazy. wife likes to watch tv from the dinner table and was concerned about the viewing angles before purchasing a 4k smart tv. BTW your vids it's great and yeah for a budget tv it checks all the boxes.
Don't know if you'll be able to answer this but is there a reason we don't get colour boxes for these sets in Canada? I watched another review where the "premium" feel of everything started at the box, but was a bit disappointed when my set arrived (S546) and it was just a plain brown box :( lol
The TCL 6 series here in Canada is not merely a 'couple hundred' dollars more. It is a whopping $700 difference which can buy me another 65 inch TCL 4 series TV. Night and day as you can see. Is the 6 series in the States not much more than the 5?
Nice content. I'm debating between Sony 43 inch X85J and TCL 5 Series. Other than size, what drawbacks are there choosing 43 inch TCL rather than the 50 inch tv?
It's overpriced because it doesn't have local dimming. Also, RTINGs has a few issues with it. It's really more price comparable to the TCL 6 or UH8 at around $700.

As you know, the NanoCell has HDMI 2.1 and the TCL 5 does not. The TCL 5 series is going to achieve WAY deeper blacks than the NanoCell ever could, but the NanoCell has better viewing angles

I know you're trying to sell televisions, but the least you could do would be to tell what's wrong with the television. You mentioned 60 Hz but you didn't mention that that could impact HDR gaming and HDR movies. You didn't mention that it doesn't support Dolby Atmos or DTS x. You didn't mention that there was low brightness in HDR. Although it has full array dimming, it only has 30 zones. Nor did you mention that bfi causes duplicatation of images. Or that the extremely high response time will cause stutter. By far what's wrong with his TV is that it doesn't reduce judder with streaming sources such as Chromecast or other 60 Hertz like cable. Further there's no 480p so you can throw out your DVDs. So there's a reason why this television is inexpensive. You could mention that it's better than the Hisense U6H, and better than similarly priced TVs from Samsung to LG. For $400, It's probably the best television out there. But then again what is the reliability of this television? I'm brand names like Hisense and TCL, The question of reliability is kind of important. I don't know a single person out there who has made a video that addresses this issue.

How do you still like the u7g? I recently got a ps5 and now want a screen with vvr and 120hz. OLED is just way too out of my range
