This 2nd gen is the perfect crossover for me. I love the 2018 model better than all the newer revision model traverse. Its got all the features I want in an suv.
I’ve heard the reason for 2nd row seat on driver side not collapsing forward is a safety thing. Think 1st gen minivans with rear door only being on passenger side. Chevy wants you to get out and not get hit by a passing vehicle but, gives a door for that passenger? Maybe that’s true but I ordered my 2022 High Country anyways! Great video 👍
Interesting. It could be, but I have reviewed cars that have had that feature on both sides so maybe Chevy just chooses not to. Either way congrats on the order im sure you'll love it!
My wife and I were ready to trade in my FJ for a 3 row SUV because my family is growing. We did our research on all the 3 row mid size SUVs and most 3 rows to include the Telluride. I found with the third row up, the trunk space was small and no second row car seat tilt which makes it easer to get in the third row. No other vehicle came close to the Traverse. So we decided to get a 2022 Traverse Redline in black.
I bought the 2021 Traverse and my friend got the 2022 Telluride. Even her husband says the 2021 Traverse is better looking and rides better. I love love my 2021 over the look of the 2022.
This is a nicely done review. These are nice but when pricing them out they seem to be pretty expensive and the interior is a bit downscale. It's like they priced them like domestics always did in the past, allowing for steep discounts. Now that the discounts aren't there I'm having trouble justifying the price.
@@SchwayZ The tunnel for me ended last week. Was able to get a Traverse for $5K off sticker. Haven't seen that in 3 years. Probably has to do with the new one being announced soon. Toyota and Honda dealers are still marking up and Kia is a 9-14 month wait.
I don't like the new re-style look. It just look funky and doesn't flow with the bodystyle. The 2018 3LT version looks much better. Which is the one I have. It doesn't feel any sluggish. It shifts very smoothly. I'd prefer the V6 for an suv than the 4cylinder which is not an ideal.
The new restyle 2022 traverse looks kinda awkward with the new look on the front. It just look really weird and doesnt make any sense with the headlight down on where the foglight is at.
I think if the extra bumper the black portion will be removed, it would be 9/ 10 for the exterior.... i dont understand why they keep on having lowered front bumper....
Perhaps my age will give it away, 66, but I am looking for the smoothest, most pleasurable drive. I am not interested in off roading a $50,000+ vehicle. I think that the advertising agencies make people think that these vehicles are indestructible. Not so.
I would like to have seen a testing of the +/- shifting button on the gear shifter which enables the driver to shift through the gears manually. I wonder if it would make a difference in acceleration??
@@scottydoesntknow254 Hmmmm…so basically it just allows the driver to choose the gearing for the driving conditions rather than just letting the car do it for itself?
Great review, but like all the others, I can't figure out if there are volume controls on the steering wheel. Nobody ever mentions it. Also, what about the channel selector? Is that controlled by the left and right arrows?
I thought I touched on that but yes you have volume and preset selectors on the steering wheel they are just located on the back of the steering wheel. So kinda like paddle shifters. I made another video on the Traverse talking about more features if you're interested czcams.com/video/hC9xPWJ2FdI/video.html
Mine is 11.5 years old and the check engine light just came on for the first time, no difference in how the vehicle is driving. I wouldn't call that full of problems.
@@wurly164 Google problems with any engine from any manufacturer and you'll be given a list to convince you that every vehicle on the road is the absolute worst POS ever made. Just like how Googling Web MD for a simple rash will have you convinced you're dying of cancer.
Looks awful...just about everything on that 2022 traverse model scream,"RUNNNNN!" Nothing on that 2022 traverse model makes any sense. Headlight becomes where the fog light is and the DRL is located where the headlight is suppose to be at. The interior just look cheap and plasticky. The grill is by no mean good looking it's horrendous. The headlight placement horrendous. Only flat earth people would think this is a good car.

Best SUV in special place among it's competitors

I also get 33 mpg on the freeway.......23 if I am in a hurry, lol.
Nice! It's a very comfortable ride. Glad you enjoy it
Interior really needs an update, which it will get next year, but yeah, we came to the same conclusion.
Just purchased Chevrolet Equinox LT FWD and it exceeds my expectations.

Appreciate it! Yeah now is an odd time for any car shopper. I'm thinking there is a light at the end of the tunnel but I guess time will tell

GREAT VIDEO!!! ALWAYS FUN TO WATCH YOUR PROFECIONAL CREATION!!! Good looking SUV!

Can you get a sheet of plywood in, with all the seats down ?

Aerodynamics, for better gas mileage. You see that even on full size pickups these days.

Good review (even if a bit animated for my reserved Northern tastes 😉). That might be my next vehicle. Thanks.
Nice 3 row suv...but those "down-low" headlights....it's a no for me.
Awesome video!!!!
Thank you! 🙏
