In US news and current events today, as bushfires continue to ravage New South Wales and other parts of Australia, heroic rescue missions for people and wildlife are on the rise as fires spread.
Taylor the rescue dog is trained to find koalas hiding in trees where her handler and other animal rescuers are able to extract the koala. Watch this amazing footage of dog rescues and the heroes risking their lives to save Australian wildlife.
An estimated 1 billion animals are presumed dead from the devastating Australian fires. The NSW bushfires have raged since September 2019.
This is one of the worst fire seasons Australia has ever seen. Environmentalists believe this is a direct result of the growing climate crisis.

She looks like she is having so much fun
That's because to her it is fun. She's a working breed. She really enjoys a lot of activity & mental stimulation. Instead of using her for normal hunting they're using her for hunting koalas or other animals.
This is very much not a dog that would be happy as a house pet. Doesn't mean she can't enjoy a nice evening by or weekend at home though. It just means that she's happiest when she has a job to do. Some day she'll have a nice retirement but for now she happiest working with her human.
A happy dog is a working dog, dogs need a purpose just like us humans
That's the point, you have to keep it fun for them, positive reinforcement etc
@@Nirrrina My friend's family had a English Springer, and she was fine as a family dog. My one memory is her excitment when I came over because we'd wrestle.....she was awesome. But as soon as she'd see me she'd race up to me and in her excitement she'd pee. Just a spot on the floor but it became easier and cleaner for her to greet me outside. Then the pee went into the grass. After our wrestle she'd curl up and demand a belly scratch. Very sweet dog.

I'm not religious just don't see why religious beliefs must be inherently bad and in such tragedies spirituality is a positive thing so even more I'd choose not to contradict comments such as "God bless this hero".

I’m Australian and I just wanted to say a huge thank you on behalf of Australia for all your support from all around the world during the bushfires. There was a bushfire pretty close to my house a few days ago, but luckily, the firefighters were immediately onto it and it was put out by early the next morning (the fire started at 9:30 pm). Thank you again

My dog Legs used to find baby birds fallen out of nests, scared baby birds alone, or injured birds, and wrap himself like a donut around them until one of us came outside to help. Animals that are animal loves are the best ❤️

tbh when a dog is so pretty. What I noticed is my dog always loves it when I do the things I like and relax, like when I game CoD or listen to some of my favourite bands like Delta Parole it feel like my dog is rocking out to the music together with me. Being a dog owner is one of the most rewarding things I have done in my life, if you can give your dog the time he or she needs you will learn something new about your dog every day.
