    Amazing, thanks for this man. I love how you go through literally all the justifications for what you are doing. Super clear. 💪

    Can you give an example of the service hook of the pipeline as well?

    I am trying to send in three parameters with no success, what is the syntax for multiple parameters?

    • @geralexgr
      @geralexgr  Před rokem

      you will need to pass the parameters in a json format inside the templateParameters. You will need to have something like { "parameter1":"value1", "parameter2":"value2","parameter3":"value3" }

    • @randysittler7804
      @randysittler7804 Před rokem

      @@geralexgr There was a lot of incorrect information on what the precise syntax should be, what ultimately worked was: { "templateParameters": {"Parameter1":"Value1"}, {"Parameter2":"Value2"}, {"Parameter3":"Value3"} } Your video was the best example on how to use the ADO REST API to fire off a pipeline, for this I am very grateful, thank you.

    @geralexgr, Can we capture the result of Azure pipeline via API?

    • @geralexgr
      @geralexgr  Před 2 lety

      I am not sure of that. I will make my search and get back to you.

    Can we trigger only the release pipeline?

    • @geralexgr
      @geralexgr  Před 2 lety

      Yes, you will need to use the release rest api. docs.microsoft.com/en-us/rest/api/azure/devops/release/releases/create?view=azure-devops-rest-6.0

    • @shashankbajpai5659

      @@geralexgr but isn't this api for creating release pipeline?

    • @geralexgr
      @geralexgr  Před 2 lety

      @@shashankbajpai5659 I believe you are right. I would try to use the run pipeline with the release pipeline ID. docs.microsoft.com/en-us/rest/api/azure/devops/pipelines/runs/run-pipeline?view=azure-devops-rest-6.0
