If You're looking to upgrade Your Strive to the 2022 model, here is a quick run down of the differences between My old race bike and the new 2022 Strive race bike. Meant to put the vid out when the bike launched, but wanted to get a Gopro POV riding it, so here it is.

The new strive looks sick, disappointed though, I got my new Torque the day the strive was released, maybe I should have waited.

Don't be disappointed. The torque is a great bike. Have fun with it and stop worrying too much about other bikes. I ride my 6 year old bike and still love it

I only got my new/old Strive in September! Should've waited! Oh well, doesn't mean it still doesn't shred đ€đ»đ€đ»
i got mine in october and now im planning on keeping it till the 2023 comes out and i cop that one, still love it.

Great break down of the differences Jack, should help people really understand what's changed. Still blows my mind that a 6'> dude has to run a medium, it's gone way too far with the geo, especially reach.
I donât really agree that geo has gone way to far. You still have the choice to ride a medium if thatâs what you want/need but now for us tall guys we also have the choice of riding a longer bike depending on terrain and personal preference etc. Jackâs more comfortable on a shorter bike and I can assume you are as well whereas I at 6-5 prefer a longer bike and am loving my 525 reach. Personal preference does still matter and Iâm happy the industry is allowing for that

@@shepardlivingston2371 100% agree. There are no bikes now for people under 5'8", not realistically and while Jacob, a serious outlier might be happy, at what point in time should a person 6'5" be riding an XL frame, that is XXL territory, i.e. Reach is that of an XXL frame.
Yeah, I'm riding way on the smaller side as well, as thats What I prefer for enduro racing. If We were talking downhill it would be a different story

Itâs nice to have the option to steepen the HTA to 64.5 for the tight, technical stages
The adjustment doesn't steepen/slacken the headtube, it changes the reach
@@moimoitv_ Does that mean you have to reverse both top and bottom spacers if you want to make an adjustment?

Just picked up a 2019 Strive and love it so far. Where can you buy those fork / Headtube spacers Jack is using to slacken his old bike? Quick search of Canyon's site didn't bring anything up.

Hey Jack, any consideration for the Spectral this year, or does this beast look the goods for you? Do you think that wheelbase length will be sweet on tighter stuff to?
Definitely there with you on that question mate. Jack said (year ago) the Spectral was a bit big and slow around the corners. Excited to see it compare to the elongated Strive 2022.
Spectral is a bit harsher on the rougher terrain so don't really like it for EWS racing. Yeah will have to wait and see, I might downsize to a small to match the wheel base of My old bike

The abuse the bike gets on the EWS you ever broke a frame? Or do you ever change frame say mid season
Noo We have been pretty good. The tracks don't have super gnarly gaps and big jumps to break frames. Stuff on Ya bike just wears out from lots of riding on long rough muddy runs
As if you're on a medium! It somehow doesn't look too small for on ya tho
This bike is not made up for short people, strive's small have the same length of some other brands medium frame.

I recon the new strive is no where near as good as the old strive for enduro tech turns.
Both may be a little better at different things
