    Beautiful Trans Am!
I can't get enough of these! For me third gen Trans Ams are one of the most beautiful cars ever made.

Jesus, you guys need to get a clue before you make a video. First of all, there were 55,374 Trans Ams produced in 1984. 25,088 of those were equipped with the L69 305 HO. 34,891 were equipped with the DX1 louvered hood decal. Second, the 16.2 quarter is a joke. An L69 car equipped with MD8 and GT4/G80 would run easy mid 15s all day long, with low 7 second 0-60 times. If this was equipped with MK6 and GT4/G80, very low 15s were the norm, with 14.7-14.9 not out of the ordinary. Other than that, not being a CC1 car, it’s just the run of the mill W62, 75U/19L car, that has had a very rough life for the mileage you’re claiming.

@Satanic Panic Fun and Games First, let me thank you for publicly displaying your lack of intelligence. Second, the 305 was not designed or “engineered” by Pontiac Motor Division. Lastly, during the smog/malaise era, show me one engine that produced even 250 horse, let alone 500, excluding high dollar “exotic” cars. I’ll wait patiently for your educated response. 🤣

L69 code H.O models were the good ones! Especially with 5-speed and G92 option. They gave 5.0 Mustangs fits lol.

That 1/4 mile time was the LG4 cars. The L69 cars ran low 15 seconds and were capable of squeezing into high 14s with good driver. Not all 3rd Gens were created equal. GM produced two hot 5.0 engines, this L69 and the 230hp LB9 that came in the late ‘80s. Have bunch of videos of different 3rd Gens on my other nedaCFilms CZcams channel #MuscleCarTimeMachine

Actually with the HO motor and the 3.73 gears that came with it, these cars could hit low 15s to very high 14s in the quarter mile. Which even today, isn’t terrible

I'm thinking that 190 HP rating is in park .
Get that cowl induction up to 60 or so MPH and probably will get another 20 HP easy.
