Chased to much, the only way to fight Haney was doing what Haney was doing. Stick move clinch, but being who George is warrior mentality it was different.
Kambosos tried to box Haney instead of his usual relentless pressure style of fighting. He allowed Haney to fight off of his back foot and use his range and size, and once that position was established by Haney, it was almost impossible for George to reach Haney. Loma had to leap forward and shoot straight jabs, straight lefts, and straight rights. George was trying to throw hooks most of the time from the outside which gave Haney plenty of time to see it coming and then counter him. Lomas leaping straight left was snapping Haneys head back ALL NIGHT. Loma throw a jab then a quick right that made Haney step back distracted, and as Haney stepped back with his chin up, BOOM, Loma would land that leaping straight left right on the target. Styles make fights though. Kambosos haters ignorantly assume since Loma beat Haney (in my opinion), that Kambosos automatically loses to Loma 🤦♂️ yet George completely dismantled Teo and beat him way worse than Loma did against Haney and Teo combined. It’s all about how the styles match inside of the ring. And no, Teo was not fucking “ill” in the kambosos fight. Teo had a year to train and had hard sparring throughout his whole drawn out camp with ZERO signs or talks about him feeling sick 🤦♂️ Teo and his talk were bragging the whole time saying how amazing Teo was looking and feeling. They trashed Kambosos and said they were going to knock his ass out in the first round 😂 their plan didn’t work bc they didn’t realize that kambosos fights better when guys come forward and Teo ended up getting straight embarrassed. They were so embarrassed that they pulled that “my son was sick” excuse out of their asses to save Teo’s reputation and promises they made to Dazn 😂 reminds me of the Haney’s talking shit, calling Ryan a C level fighter, saying they were going to knock Ryan out and kill him. Same shit happened, Ryan straight demolished and embarrassed the Haney’s but the shady Haney’s desperately went above and behind to rig the fight. Then when their sketchy attempt at that failed, multiple excuses came out. Claimed Ryan took PEDS to cheat when the steroid test ended up being negative and cleared, then the ostrine bullshit that somehow got into his system the day before the fight ended up being 6 BILLIONTH of a gram which would have had ZERO effect or benefit to Ryan, proving that Ryan didn’t cheat. Common sense is that it was due to contamination and unintentional/unknowing consumption. 6 BILLIONTH OF A GRAM 😂 fucking ridiculous and they should all be sued for making pre false cheating claims to to push the excuse and reason Ryan beat his ass so they can take yet ANOTHER loss off of Haneys record 🤦♂️ scamming ass pathetic prideful lunatics who can’t accept a loss.
Love Kambosos, but speed wise - Loma is too quick for him. Loma took a certified fast hands in Garry Russell Jnr to school and I think Kambosos would be no different. Loma adjust, adapt and change gears on the fly and his opponents style will force Loma to course correct during the fight. Most importantly, Loma increase intensity as the fight progresses. If Kambosos can find counter measures to all Loma attributes, than he stand a good chance of finishing the fight on his feet because Kambosos is not a power puncher to keep Loma off of him.
Kambosos doesn't have the wide stance that Teofimo has, so he won't be able to play the Teofimo card. He'll be picked apart much like Commey. Assuming Loma comes aggressively forward like he did against Haney.
I hate the casuals who say George isn’t elite. That clearly proves that they’re surface level boxing fans who don’t know the fact that styles makes fights. ALL of the top 10 contenders are ELITE level boxers with their own set of ELITE skills and styles. It has been proven time and time again. Ignorant, biased, and immature casuals will pick and choose who they call “the best” or “most skilled”, but then their “best” and favorite boxer ends up losing to someone with a style and own set of elite skills that they choose to ignore, leading them then make bullshit excuses as to why their favorite boxer lost to that opponent that they overlook and pay no attention to their skills and style matchup. EVERY ONE of their favorites can be beaten, and the truth is that they’re beaten due due a style mismatch, not bc the boxer they ignore and hate was “lucky” or a “cheater” 🤦 that is literally elementary child like mentality. EVERY boxer has their match, no matter how good you think they are or how “pretty” they look technically.
I love the fact that George fought the fight of his life and took the belts off Lopez…the only problem with that was…George thought he was good enough to beat Haney….in doing so…gave up the belts to an undeserving Haney ( in my opinion ) George should have lapped up his success over Lopez for a bit longer…anyway good luck George…whatever happens, you’ve done extremely well out of the sport 🎉
