How many people are great pianists, incredible songwriters and outstanding vocalists? Birdy is so special because she's all of that in one. What is more impressive, she was all of that more than 10 years ago. It is so nice to see how modest she is and how singing for us makes her happy. One beautiful soul.

Dimash is a more skilled singer, imo, but her voice is beautiful in its own right and her piano and songwriting skills far eclipse his own. To be fair, singing is what he's devoted his life to and everything else has been secondary to that. Birdy has the advantage of a pianist mother and having been writing songs from an early age. When you devote yourself to something from a young age, you're bound to get pretty damn good at it.

He's been playing for a few years and some people in his family are musicians. He's devoted himself to playing and making music since he was a young child so no doubt he's going places. He has talent, but he already has many advantages and opportunities many people don't and that makes a difference.
There is a singer called Faouzia. You might want to check out her cover of Birdy’s “loneliness”. Although she’s not playing any instruments in that video. She’s an incredible pianist, she plays the violin and piano too. And a genius songwriter. She’s only 20 years old.
Birdy also covered her song “Minefields” ft John Legend.

Birdy is more than music

I'm sad she doesn't get the recognition she deserves here in the US.
One day, realising how lonely I was, (long story), I tried to "see" the loneliness. What happened that moment was very strange. I looked into a pit that was bottomless. It was also extremely scary so I pulled away from it immediately. This song "Deepest Lonely" captures that it can be a deep, long pit of loneliness. I am sorry if Birdy goes through that. Playing music can be very lonely. After playing for about 20 years at gigs I learned not to judge the great artists who gave wayt to drug use and such. Thank God Birdy and her sister have each other and their family.
