I am a child of God, and so are you
I just want to say thank you. I am praying for my brother who is addicted to heroin. We grew up around drugs. He was drugged at 7 and has been using other substances since he was young. He is 32 now and has finally got hooked on the worst drug. He is so desperate to quit that he’s choosing to stay in jail as long as possible just so he can stay clean. The very definition of chains. I have been searching for the words that will heal him. I’m going to use this sermon as inspiration for our next conversation.
I need strong prayers please I'm fighting huge demons and meth addiction. Please pray hard! 😢😢😢

I am a 71 year old woman just now watching this message, but I feel you preached it several years ago just for me now.
I was widowed and 2 and a half years later got sinfully involved with a widower and to make it right we married. Four months later, he left me and filed for divorce.
Temptation is not only effecting youth, loneliness and temptation effects older people too.
Oh, by the way....I was a pastor's widow and the man I married had been a missionary.
Now I pray for the strength each day to live through the divorce and see what is on the other side by God's forgiveness and grace.

I was watching this on the tv 📺. I had to pull it up on my phone. Those same words you spoke when you said if I’m not happy I’ll fake it in a pic. I’m so many words but the very words that came from your mouth was the very words I said.. Glory Glory Glory to my God for bringing me through this storm. Oh Lord this sermons awakened something in me because I had been beat down spiritually for so long. Everyone thinks I’m crazy cause when I’m serving God all I wanna do is proclaim his holy name everyone waits you y’all about Jesus to much. But my soul overflows with praises to my king. Things he has brought me through I never thought possible until I met the amazing grace of my Heavenly Father.. I know I have a calling on my life. I don’t go to church because it makes me sad to see the way things are in Gods house. So I searched and prayed for Jesus to show me who can help confirm things he has shown me things he has told me. He sent me to y’all. You Mr. Carl Kent’s, mrs Bobbi Brown I thank God for showing me my church you all make up my church and I thank you 🙏 so much. I have seen things that are happening now when I read revelations 4 or 5 years ago it hurts to see some of these things come to pass. But our God is in control.
God SAVED ME!!! He helped me to escape!!! Thank you JESUS!!!!

Please pray for me, I quit my antidepressants because the symptoms were getting worse and idk what to do, please pray that God leads me to the right path and puts the right antidepressant in my way, I dont want to be this way anymore.
Saved God has your back I struggled with depression too and God has taking me out of that! Have faith

Prayer works but you need to pray for yourself too. God needs you to reach out to him personally but I'm praying for you . If you want to talk text me .
I pray that you will not need the pill...find a healing scripture and repeat it several times a day...and always thank the Lord of host for your healing even if it has not happened yet..this time next year you will notice a difference wether taking meds are not...be confident..in the power of God's word..
I will pray. God is with you always. I am sorry that you are going through depression. It is not easy. Please try to give God your pain. You are doing the right thing for it: taking the time to pray and to listen to God's word. God is with you through it

I asked for a word this morning and it was exactly what I asked God for. He is an all knowing God and He sees right through my mask, always hiding, always running, always fearing what has always been right in front of me, The way of escape. WHY?
I’m still in my depression and you just hit my favorite phrase “I’m very positive. I’m positive life sucks". That was before I came to your church. Thank God and you.

The past two days were some of the hardest days of my life. I was having an existential crisis. I almost gave up on God and didn’t know what to think after 8 years of relentlessly pursuing him. I told my best friends I was tempted to drop out of bible college and do something different without god after all this time. It’s 3 am where I’m at and spent all night talking to my best friends why I didn’t know if God existed anymore after all this time because I couldn’t handle what happened to me anymore. At 12am one of the friends left, texted me an hour later saying he just prayed that God would speak to me in a supernatural way that I couldn’t ignore. I got home two hours later, opened up my iPad trying to read until i fell alseep, then i get the notification from podcasts about this sermon. I just watched it and couldn’t stop crying. God used you pastor Steven to speak into every situation of my life just now. I have seriously watched almost every sermon of yours for the past two years, and God ministered through you tonight in ways like never before. Which is ironic i say that because almost every time i have had a serious wilderness moment in the past two years, once last semester at bible college, once two years ago after I made the hardest choice in my life, God has spoken to me through your messages. Thank you pastor Steven for following God with everything, cause it has helped me in ways I could ever understand. Thanks for not giving up God, cause he has and just used you so I could know he hasnt given up on me.
Shame is religion. God is a relationship, and Jesus came to break the chain of religion.

For you have a way of giving us peace and rest in the worst times of life. That we laugh when we should be crying and singing when we should be screaming and dancing when we should shaking, for only you God can do this. So I speak that peace and rest into Johns life right now dear God. That he doesn’t spend his waking hours thinking or asking why God. For many times their is no reason for the unreasonable, but God he looks to you for the strength and the knowledge on how to take it one step at a time. God nothing is impossible for you so do the impossible for John right now in the name of Jesus the name above all names for Psalms 91 say we will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty . So right now God in Johns time of darkness let him rest in your shadow knowing you are before him always. AMEN!!’

-Sometimes the place you go to escape becomes the very place that you're enslaved in.
-Whatever you trust becomes your master
-What is it that I'm escaping from and to?
-The way you deal with temptation will determine how you deal with it in the future
-God takes your through the wilderness
3things that the enemy tempts us with: 1) Lust of the flesh, 2) Lust of the eye, 3) Pride of the eye
-You can make it through the wilderness if you've been under the water!!!

I ALWAYS Feel like pastor steven is speaking right to me. I struggled with addiction for the past 5 years. Watching his videos has truly helped me reach for God at the times i use to reach for meth. God has kept me clean but pastor steven has been the earthly voice that God has used to do it!

I know God loves me because he confirms his word, I literally typed this to someone this morning how my needs were met but through sin, then I read in 1Corinthians 10 and repented. Then hours later I log onto CZcams and click on this message - I had no idea what scripture he'd be coming from I didn't plan on reading Corinthians today But God loves me enough to not let walk out my struggle in ignorance. But Father I take the way of escape that you've provided. Strengthen me in Jesus name!
God always allows me to hear His Word, through the messages you preach. I have a child, that is a young woman, about to be 30. One week, she treats me nice, the next week, she doesn't speak, acknowledge, or have anything to do with me. It is very hard mentally, to accept and pick myself up from the hurt. But, I place my trust in God, and I know that, someday, this Season will be in the past. Thank You Jesus 🙋 🙋🙋 🙋

I have had so much stress and anxiety that I feel like I'm going to die. Trouble with my day, but I listen to pastor steven I feel so much better and all my worries and anxiety go away. God bless pastor furtick

This is my repeat sermon thank u jesus..i can hear this one daily ..cause im still in the wilderness but im not a slave iam walikng with him hes just giving me an upgrade this is my upping of standads and faith..ty jesus love u god
God gives me the strength to deal with the temptations and to fight the devil and never gives me more than I can handle. May he give others to deal with their temptations. I'm trying to escape cancer and the temptations to deal with the pain.

Don't loose a soul to the Devil because you were afraid to teach on all things that even JESUS himself taught about. For fill your calling as a TEACHER of GODS whole WORD and do not skip any topic. JESUS SAVES
Don't be afraid to preach what God is speaking into your soul. He has a reason and a need for it to be said. The best messages are the ones that convict us and shine the light in the darkness.

One day... I am going to meet this man. And I am going to ask him some questions. I probably already know some of the answers he'll give me but I just want to hear it come from him. He's a good preacher. He teaches in a way that just has all of your attention on him and his message. All the while he's giving you biblical truth. You're a great man Pastor Steven Furtick.
Those of you sitting right there in the Elevation Sanctuary every week, I hope you know how privileged you are. A lot of the people who get only to watch it online wish they would get that opportunity at least once, including me. Amen for this sermon. I pray everyday after my recent heartbreak that I will meet the right person for me. Being 25 years old with flaws just like everyone else, my ex really did love and care for me for who I really was but I treated her so bad. She couldn't take it after almost a year of emotional abuse. Ever since she left I have been doing nothing but bettering myself mentally and physically with professional help. I pray every day that that person who will love me for me and my flaws is out there and that we will meet. Even though it feels like I am all alone in this battle, I know others out there are going through similar issues with relationships. I pray for you all as well. Resist the temptation of online dating, resist the temptation of settling whatever comes your way to just cure the loneliness. My ex leaving me put me into shape to better myself physically and mentally. God has bigger plans for me and he will for you as well.
As someone who can relate to being almost 25 and feeling flawed, lonely and depressed most days, I Praise God because our best days are never behind us. The bible say that
But the path of the just (righteous) is like the light of dawn, That shines brighter and brighter until [it reaches its full strength and glory in] the perfect day.

It also says that

been in the same boat. god kept me away from her, while we both bettered ourselves, and especially me. took a long time, many sleepless nights, tears while praying, gloomy days, but its all coming together now. god's timing is perfect and i could see how important it was that i went through the immense heartbreak to be ready for the efflorescence that's happening now. purpose will take you through the best and worst days. it will remind you, on the days when it seems it's all over or it will never come to pass, that indeed you must just keep your head down, work on bettering yourself a day at a time, and keep faith. i wish you the best on your journey. if god is for you, who can be against you?

It's one thing to be stuck in a situation, it's another to be stuck in yourself. Ugh. I hate my ugly habits.
I was watching another sermon when it disconnected and this message started instead, talk about a God intervention! This message has my name written all over it! 😭😭😭 I went into something trying to escape loneliness, became enslaved to it, allowing it to define me and control me. It's caused me such shame and heartache but thanks be to God, He didn't take me out of it but He led me through it and I'm now free! I'm wiser and stronger and ready for God to reveal the next season of my life. Thanks Pastor Steven for having the guts to say what you said and the way you said it straight up.

Sometimes the place you go to for survival becomes the place of enslave....
Pastor listening to this again just blessed me I wish more preachers really took this in more ppl "church ppl" that shame ppl and drive them away from God and that's not the Bible and that's not Jesus teaching, Pastor that's why I Love You so much ur teaching it speaks to the heart and u know it's from God so I Thank you Pastor, cuz God speaking through you brought me back to church 🙏💜🗣
