Good morning , I am extremely surprised by the change of opinion on the Bose L1 Pro 16 and I will explain. 8 months ago, you compared the two products with a lot of passion with how Bose was superior by so many points vs LD Maui G3's But it will be interesting if you can explain me just one thing. *** I need to turn the base down because I am clipping like crazy , me as a DJ I don’t feel comfortable having that clip light on constantly *** I’m not confortable with clipping the whole entire time so that’s the biggest difference *** Does this mean that the clipping situation is suddenly no longer important?? I find that the change of opinion on the same speaker in 8 months can reduce the credibility of a person who can talk about a product. I hope you give us a honestly answer to that question. Thanks and advance. DJ Funkykik
I would like to hear it too but the big disadvantage of Maui in Canada is the low presence of resellers as well as the warranty which seems long and complicated.
I agree with you on the 3 negative points of Bose but the Maui is heavier. Yes Bose should have revised a little for the tower even if it would have added 1-2 lbs. The 180 degree has advantages and disavantage but also for us DJs after 1-2 evenings online yes it tires the ear but no need for a monitor to mix. I tested the Pro32 and wow the difference in power in a large room.. I also made a transparent flexible mat with TPU parts to protect the base. I no longer have big parties, 1 pro32 plays louder than my 2 pro16s especially at longer distances and the 180 degree is need if a use only 1 speaker and no problem two pro16 if not enough distance in certain rooms for the sound cancellation effect. I use the 2 subpro16 with the pro32.. really the best compromise weight power.. sub2 I don't really play more than the subpro16 vs the weight and the only handle.. I made a video on my channel for the sub comparisons Bose
Couldn't agree with you more. That coverage of the Bose is too much. When I had my Yorkville sub-sat setup, I never walked out of a venue with fatigued ears. Now I do with the Pro16s.
Musicians don't need to get away from the sound. DJ's, I get it. You need to get away from the sound, it's constant. Musicians, the sound stops when you stop playing. You need to hear everything you're playing. We need more than 2 channels as well.
@WWeiss-nv5vz that would surprise me... the pro16 is surprising in terms of Bass, it plays at 1-2 db difference vs the Sub2... the maui g44 yes for example more bass
I still agree with everything I said about the Bose, it's just the hearing issue. The 180 degrees is killing my ears no matter where I place the speakers. I will still use my Bose once in a while but not every weekend.
@jpwpro I place my 32s slightly on front of my toadmatic, you're still in it but not to an extreme, slight toe out helps. But beyond that they just fill a room

Thanks for this update!! I’ve been doing considering both myself so this is very helpful!
You originally didn't like the Maui because it clipped and lacked headroom compared to Bose. Has that changed?
Thank you so much for your input. I could totally see that being a thing as far as the directional coverage getting ya..

Totally agree Maui failed totally on two bad subwoofers that failed

Thx for update. 😊
I still like the Bose and everything I said about them is true. Just after using them for almost 2 years the 180 coverage is killing my ears!

Good luck on getting Maui serviced or customer support I didn't
Question: did you try the Boze L1 pro32?
The pro 16 are incredible but All Bose has so much sound bleeding through the rear of speaker. More than any speaker BY FAR

Did you give up bass performance vs Bose 16?
@WWeiss-nv5vz that would surprise me... the pro16 is surprising in terms of Bass, it plays at 1-2 db difference vs the Sub2...
the maui g44 yes for example more bass
@@DavidB_AudioTech That was my point, going to the LD 28 you lose bass performance.
28 g2 or g3 ????
G3
Earplugs

People change, this isn't a hostage situation
