Little bit of trivia, Ed Helms actually did "lose" his tooth. One of his teeth never developed so he had a dental implant put in. Since he was supposed to "lose" his tooth for the movie he just had the implant taken out and put back in.
Jim Carrey did something similar for Dumb and Dumber. He broke a tooth and had it capped. He had the cap removed for the movie.
Still not as gruesome an act as ripping it out, with a pair of plyers, while drunk, in a hotel suite. lol
Wrote the Doug song with the director.
@@fbksfrank4 Great song, especially when he sings "Doug Dougy Dougy Doug Doug Dougy Doug Doug Dougy Doug Doug" Great lyrics.
Heather Graham was the tooth fairy.
If I accidentally married Heather Graham while I was blacked out, I don’t think I’d be upset in the least
That's when you move in, cancel your phone and take her last name :D 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
yeah. i would have just stayed in Vegas if i was him. Lots of people in Nevada need dental work.
What happens in Heather Graham, stays in Heather Graham.
If that ever happened to me, I'd get blacked out drunk again - with that kind of luck, I'd wake up a billionaire!
hahahaha one of the best yt comments ever plus true story
Funny hearing George's concern about Todd Phillips' comedy chops because of how dark Joker was. When he was announced as the director of Joker, everyone thought "The Hangover guy? Really?" 😂
EXACTLY
@@thorguff This, 100%. Even Steven Spielberg, who is known mostly for his "science fiction" chops, had a hand in some great comedies in the past. Also known for some really good historical films, in his day. The only reason that certain directors tend to stick to certain genres of filmwork is because that's what they enjoy doing. Not because that is all they are good at.
Not to mention Old School and Road Trip
The Joker was a comedy. Joke is literally in the name!
Most people also forget that when Heath Ledger was cast in The Dark Knight people were furious. Legit petitions and constant trolling. Now know wants to admit they doubted him. Everyone wanted Steve Carrell or Robin Williams.
I just love how often George finds something hilarious and Simone is horrified by that same thing.
Especially @ 14:33
Porque no los dos?
Yes that was the best example that I wasn’t expecting
Yeah, that’s pretty much the lifeblood of this channel!
I think the Holocaust ring joke is the hardest I've ever seen him laugh other than the Lebowski floorboard doorjam scene lol
Zootopia DMV sloths!
That's how hard I laughed. Funniest line in the movie!
Sorry can you explain the joke for me pls? 😅
He was laughing maniacally in that tropic thunder scene where Ben stiller flings the child
I legit laughed just as hard as George did at the Holocaust ring line when I saw this in the theater.
I know...........I love when MY favorite lines from a movie are also George's favorite lines.
I have a Jewish friend, who freaking LOST IT when he heard that line. Nobody in the theatre laughed harder than he did.
one of the best lines. Lol
Also my favorite line. Laughed just as hard as George!
@@jacob4920 I knew someone who worked for an Israeli company, and those guys knew ALL of the most heinous Jewish jokes you've ever heard, including a Holocaust one that I will not repeat here. I mean, these dudes were from Israel and lived there and everything. But hell yes, Jewish people have an amazing sense of humor when it comes to stuff like that.
Oh god this movie was hysterical, and it made Zach Galifinakis an overnight star (and for good reason).
@@jkhoover He was the smarmy bad guy rival in a romantic comedy. He was good sure, but they're just props in these movies to overcome.
@@nataliep6385 Those are both great he's also really funny in Due Date
Reno 911 qs Frisbee😂@@x_owen.ms_2020
I had a gal pal who got a hospitality degree and went to work the check-in desk at Caesar's. She swore that after this movie came out, there was not a single day that she didn't have to hear the "I can't get a signal on my beeper" routine from a wisecracker.
Was it the real Caesars Palace?
🤣
Fun fact:the guy in the elevator with the mustache is director Todd Phillips who also directed Joker
He was there for the gang bang
@@mynameisnotearl4383 I'm here for the gangbang.
People who say fun fact before commenting are fucking douches
Oh... I was just wondering why he was a cameo in all three films.
I had a feeling that scene wasn't just a throw away scene. the guy looked too weird to me for some reason. now I know why. ty.
George getting slammed in the intro. I'm here for it! 🤣
0:00 in case anyone missed it, lol. Called the fuck out!
Simone's laughs and giggles give me life 🤣
You might need to see a doctor over that at some point.
I love how often George pisses himself laughing and Simone is horrified by the same thing.
You really need to do We're the Millers. Ed Helms plays a very different character in it. It's f-ing hilarious.
And Vacation.
Great suggestion!

I don't know what was funnier Simone not being able to handle the baby crying or the fact that her air drumming to phil collins in the air tonight might just be better than Mike tyson🤣
Honestly neither weirdo...
@@khancrow7015 You're right. Neither is funnier than the other because they're both equally hilarious.
@icecube right...I find the dude funny but don't vibe at all with her. I can see my child laughing at someone air drumming but I guess I am more into mature humor hence why I am watching them react to an adult movie.
@@khancrow7015 lmfao good lord, yes everyone knows that truly mature people go around on the internet with their noses up in air spouting off about "hOw MaTuRE tHeY aRE." Surely that is something a mature person would do
@Travis Mattson Why are grown adults so upset over a youtube comment from a stranger??? Lmao
Go laugh at air drumming and motherly instincts....
The actress who played "Melissa" the most horrifying girlfriend ever is Rachel Harris who in real life is one of the nicest coolest people. It was great to see her finally land a huge role when Lucifer came out.
I'm still amazed by how horrible Rachael Harris' character (Stu's GF) is in this movie. She plays one of the kindest, most supportive characters in Lucifer. Initially I didn't even recognise her in that series by how different she is personality-wise. Good actors can really pull off anything.
She was way too convincing as an awful girlfriend, which is a testament to her acting prowess.
I can't even think why she wanted to be in a relationship with Ed Helms' character. Just wanted someone to control?
OMG, that IS Doctor Linda! I knew I recognized her from somewhere but i didn't click.
I bet it's easier for professional actors to play opposites of themselves because the differences stand out, real abusive person probably couldn't bring it out on someone random as well in front of a camera
Oh god, I remember how painful my face was after watching this back then in cinema with my drinking friends, lol
This movie brings back memories. It’s worth watching just for the still photos from credits scene alone. Lol
One of the funniest most uncomfortable memories I have of my mom
@@flargenz wait what?
@@flargenz Is your mom Heather Graham? Lol
@@celticlord88 guessing they meant when they watched that scene with their mom
This movie was so much better than I expected! Surprisingly heartfelt and I loved the mystery element of it. It's cool how grounded the main characters were so the absurdity of everything else feels so much weirder.
I hope you do more outrageous comedies, seeing you two giggle and goof around never gets old.
Kind regards,
a weenis.
The movie stayed with me longer than I expected. You know what's really cool about it, in addition to it being hilarious? It's a comedy that shows a guy suffering in an abusive relationship and the story actually takes that pretty seriously, instead of playing it for cheap laughs of unmanliness. And the portrayal of the abusive woman doesn't feel like an artistic statement of "this is what women are like". It's her, as an individual, tormeting a regular dude.
6:25 - Simone literally went speechless when Bradley Cooper entered the room.
Yes, but did Simone and George have issues with him as a person? Don´t really know of him except American Sniper that i think was a bit controversal regarding the person it depicted but not sure.
I didn't even notice that hahahaha
Note to self: get a black suit with black shirt
To be fair, he is a very handsome individual, and that black suit/black shirt combo is absolutely ballers.
Almost every movie Todd Phillips did is great and worth a watch: Road Trip, Old School, Starsky & Hutch, War Dogs.
I had no idea he directed any of those movies. Wow. lmao
I love starsky and hutch so much
War Dogs is a must watch.
And The Dan Band makes appearances in more than one
The movie never explains why the guys had a chicken in their room - on the commentary, the director says that they were probably planning to feed it to the tiger.
*This movie put Bradley and Zach on the map.*
Not bradley he's already in a lot of movies like wedding crusher failure to lunch yes man he's just not into you and many more
I can't believe Simone showed us her wenis. That was so unexpected.
When this came out on DVD I was in a line at a Redbox (DVD rental kiosk) and there were a couple of teen girls discussing this movie. The funniest/saddest thing they said was “there’s this part where they have to return this guys tiger”. They had to idea who Mike Tyson was! To them he was just some guy
Yup, that's just another part of life. I get those moments so often when I'm around teens and kids. It definitely gives me more empathy for the older generations back when I myself was a teen lol
I didn't watch their full reaction on pateron but they didn't seem to make any mention of Carrot Top in the photo montage on this video. Wonder if they didn't know who he was.
Facepalm!
@darkstar3116...Not as weird as admitting you'd like to hang out with teenage girls in a public internet forum...
P.S. He said funniest/saddest, not worst, terrible, dumbest, etc.
How is that "shaming" them?
@@codymoe4986he never said he hung out with him. He said he over heard a conversation while waiting in line. Can you not read or are you as stupid as someone who doesn't know who Mike Tyson is?
Actually, the scene of Alan and Phil coming down the escalator in the casino (wearing suits) is not from this movie ... they were referencing a scene in "Rainman" with Dustin Hoffman and Tom Cruise entering the casino in the same fashion.
You know it's gonna be a great reaction when Simone is cracking up before the movie even starts.
This is the best comedy of the 21st century! Haven't laughed as much to a film from the last 22 years like this one. Imagine it's been 13 years from the release.
I am not the kind to literally laugh out loud at most things, comedians, comedies, etc., but, this movie had me rolling! And now, watching Simone and, especially George laugh was almost as good!
I don't think I've ever seen George laugh as hard! Great reaction guys.
Their reactions during the wedding singer doing "Candy Shop" are hysterical 😂 Simone's confusion after "so seductive," George's abrupt laughter when he realizes the song, Simone's grossed out "noooo!" Too good lmao
My friends and I broke down in the middle of nowhere at 2 AM and tried to hitchhike to the nearest truck stop. A cop picked us up because we were only a couple miles from a federal prison and multiple people called 911 to report us as escaped convicts. He put the three of us in the back to give us a ride, not knowing I had weed in my backpack, and the guy in the middle started singing "we are the three best friends that anyone could have".
@Darkstar if you don't think that could happen, you wouldn't believe most of my life
That's freaking awesome!
It is crazy that Ken Jeong is a doctor, and Rob Riggle who played the cop is a Marine Corps Veteran😁
Rob Riggle is so good at stealing the show, even in a minor role. Always brings his a-game, even if he only has a single line.
Rob Riggle isn't just a USMC vetaran, he's a Marine Corps officer and aviator. Dude flew planes for the Marines.
I was introduced to Todd Philips' work with The Hangover. My surprise is the same as George who was introduced to his work with Joker. A lot of DC fans were skeptical when he was to direct Joker but thankfully he proved them wrong.
George dying laughing at the Holocaust ring joke was too funny😂😂😂
I saw this movie in theaters about 5 or 6 times it was the funniest film I'd ever seen at the time. Easily, in the top 10 greatest comedies of all time.
You mentioning the director, honestly this is WHY this movie was so funny and such a success. Because it's not directed like a comedy. Max Landis once explained this perfectly. They shot this movie like a thriller and thus when all the funny parts happen, they seem more realistic and surprising.
I love watching comedies with the two of you.. Your on-screen chemistry is wonderful, and there are several times when I'm laughing more at your jokes than the film. Thanks for another fun reaction video.
The guy in the elevator 'going down' was the Director Todd Philips, in case you didnt catch that. Prior to his joker days he'd try get a cameo in every one of his movies
I remember watching this in theaters when it came out. One of the best movie experiences I’ve ever had, the audience was dying laughing from beginning to the end credits lol.
"I didn't know they gave out rings at the Holocaust" Kills me every. time.
"Hey there's skittles in there!" is the funniest line because of how serious Alan was when he said it.. lmao..
Yeah, this film is really hilarious. And seeing Ken Jeong in this makes me so wish you would react to Community, but I'm guessing at least one of you has seen it. It's so right up your alley. Great reaction, yet again, as always. How the f**k do you two not have 100K already?? It boggles the mind. Really, it does.
Ahem. Ken Jeong, MD.
So excited for you guys to go through this trilogy. When this movie came out it was quoted ALL over high school. Was my first blu-ray I owned when starting my upgrades from DVD's. This one will always hold that nostalgic factor and be a classic for me. This movie was an experience for sure. The camera photo's thing was talked about for so long. Stu playing his piano song at award shows...etc. I can't imagine how fun it was to do this movie. We haven't gotten something on this level for a while.
I had a friend who was in a similar situation to Stu and his girlfriend. Awful. He's never been the same person.
God, I wish I could have momentary amnesia to watch this movie again for the first time. It will go down as one of the all time classic comedies. I can't even remember the last great comedy to come out.
Good grief - how have I only seen this film once? It's up there on my re-watch list now... Great review guys - so much fun to watch!
Simone’s intros always crack me up. She comes up with something new and fresh every time. 😂
*A million people could make a top 10 funniest lines, and ZERO would be the same. Most consistently funny movie from start to finish I've ever seen.*
The Holocaust ring would be in every list though
Dude in the elevator is the director. The best part of this movie is that right when you get a chance to stop and try to think, some crazy thing comes flying out of nowhere. Ken Jeong jumping out of the trunk. Most older crowds don't think anything new is funny anymore but when I had my dad watch it he was dying laughing.
I can still remember the first time I saw this movie; I was bored and looking for something to watch so I turned it on not knowing anything about it and was blown away at how funny it was. I am still not a fan of Zach Galifianakis, but it wouldn't be the Hangover without him. Can't wait to see you two do the other ones in the Trilogy.
I have never laughed harder at anything as the pictures during the end credits.
When naked boss-man flies out of the trunk into Bradley Cooper's face...I've replayed George's face about 15 times. I'm weak with laughter. Meme me!!!
This movie is hilarious. Todd Phillips also directed Old School, which is also hilarious. Definitely should be on your guys' list.
Ty so much for this reaction it was an absolute blast to watch. I know I had a blast when I first watch this movie and it sure looks like you did as well. Ty and keep kocking em out of the park
Some wedding cakes are made out of Fondant, which is a type of hard icing that doesn't taste great but looks good. Some people do want edible cake at their wedding and choose normal icing instead, which I think still looks good, but maybe doesn't last as long out in the open
Fondant is thicker, can be shaped and smoothed easier and doesn't "sweat" like icing. I have heard of what George said but never seen it. However, I'm not a frequent wedding attendee.
I actually saw an interview where the actor that plays Stu talked about the missing tooth. He had a false tooth in that spot that he actually went and had removed for the scenes of the movie where he's missing it and had it put back in later. That's why it looks so good, he's actually missing it.
Todd Phillips was primarily known for comedy. Joker was his first drama.
"I didn't know they gave out rings at the holocaust"
Another uncontrollable George belly laugh to add to the collection
Been subscribed for a long time and will continue to be subscribed. Both of you are amazing human beings.
I love that you guys left in some of the funniest parts. For some reason, many reactions to this movie cut some of the funniest lines.
This movie and reaction was so funny from the start to finish.
I really hope you guys watch the other 2.
We're all waiting in line for you guys to react to part 2...impatiently waiting!
21:46 Still waiting to hear someone say this is directly based on a scene from Rain Man, and would LOVE to see some reactions from it. Tom Cruise's best performance imho.
Hehe, same man. It's like 6 degrees of separation, only it's memes...
You got to watch Hangover 2, it's been 6 months. Definitely got to watch it soonish :)
21:54 George has good taste, that's "Joker & The Thief" by Wolfmother (an instant and absolute classic). 🤘
watching george CRACK UP 🤣 was MORE FUN than the movie itself! i am so glad you guys chose this one, thanks! ☺
19:20 "What do tigers dream of..." ❤
This is one of my favorite comedies. After drinking over the weekend my friends and our girlfriends would always watch this pretty often before crashing.
Our wedding cake was very real. Imagine 4 layers of cake. In between the 1st and 2nd and 3rd and 4th there was a cheesecake filling and between 2nd and 3rd was strawberry. The frosting was light cream. Had latticework on the top section (which we kept til our 1 year anniversary), 2 middle sections below elevated on roman style pillars, and then steps leading to 2 side cakes. There was also a fountain below the middle. That was 22 years ago and i still remember it today. Was SOOOOO good!
Epic! Can't wait for your reaction to the next parts :)
Great reactions to this super fun film, Simone & George!!!🎬👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽Nice to see more comedy films, now that October is over.
As one who has had a wedding, attended many weddings, I can say I've never experienced the fake wedding cake scenario. Having said that, there are 8 billion people on the planet, and it wouldn't surprise me if this does occur at some point. But I've never ever seen it or heard of it before now. 🤷🏼♂️
Yeah it sounds like a myth... like WHY would you need a fake wedding cake when you could just have a real one..?
Part of the issue with wedding cakes comes if you want really big/complex ones since they take more time to make.
Based on the old cake shows I’ve watched, they sometimes have to make the sponge several days in advance so they can definitely be hit or miss. I think the idea is that people won’t be sober enough to notice/care. XD
The wedding singer starting that song was pure funny bone man😂
cant say for every wedding due to only going to my parents but they had a large cake that was purely just for decoration and a second cake for actually eating
The wedding singer guy is in a few movies doing the same thing and its great.
He's in Old School singing Total Eclipse of the Heart.
One of the best comedies ever made, I remember my Dad cackling like a hyena the first time he saw it
You guys have one of the best reaction channels. I have great fun watching you two. Thanks 😄
Another absolutely amazing ensemble comedy with Ed Helms is "Tag" (2018). I cannot recommend it highly enough. 👍❤
I've been waiting for you guys to do Hangover so excited 😊
Worth noting too that Ed Helms write the Doug song on piano just randomly during shooting and they put it in the movie
The ending of your video lol good laughs
11:19 Doc to the old man: "I'LL SEE YOU AFTER THE WEEKEND." then turns and shakes his head 'no'. subtle, but so funny.
Thank you for doing this one. I hope you do the next two as well. The 3rd breaks the formula but definitely worth it for the story arc.
Great reaction and simone has a nice weenis 🤣🤣🤣
Jesus George gotta give you credit. That was a great joke .. “pretty sure he was going down “ . Damn lol. Mic drop 😂😂
I love how you both said "What?!" at the police car
That band (The Dan Band) plays in almost all of Todd Phillips' movies.
I’m so glad u guys enjoyed this YALL made me enjoy it more😎😂so much laughter 🤣🤣🤣
That singer at the wedding was incredible
The guy in the elevator with the chick is the director Todd Phillips. He cameos in all of his movies. I remember when this movie first came out and oh my god was it revolutionary and I hadn't laughed that hard is my entire life. Also, the scene at the pool when they were trying to figure out what happened the night before and alan said they had some Jager and stu gagged, that is 100% me when anyone mentions captain morgan. I had a bad night with the captain in my early twenties and ever since, I cant even smell anything with cinnamon without dry heaving so totally relatable. The other 2 sequels are pretty funny but its literally the same movie in a different location.
I guess Todd is a fan of The Dan Band. They're in more than one of his movies. I completely understand, they're hilarious
Your guys laughter is infectious 😂
This thumbnail is the most adorable thing ever 🙂
When's *Zach G* is counting cards you say *"that's where this is from"* Are you talking about a meme? BC comin down the escalator in matching suits they're parodying a scene from *(Rain Man)*
All time classic! ♥ The Tiger Song 😄
Can't wait for you to get to the Credits-Photos of Part 2... 🤣
So happy you all reacted to this this movie makes me laugh Non-Stop and I have been uber addicted to watching all your reactions!
The wedding band is The Dan Band. They're also hilarious in Starsky and Hutch and Old School. I guess Todd Phillips is a fan of theirs
I remember seeing this in the theatre and I don’t think I’ve ever laughed out loud more in my whole life. Definitely check out parts 2 and 3, not as good as the original, but definitely worth the watch. Part 3 wraps up the story really well.
Haven’t even watched it and I’m excited. I called out of work sick today and this is the perfect medicine!
George thinking that a five tier $1000 wedding cake has one small piece of "real cake" is hilarious!
I was waiting for this. I knew you guys would love it. I’d like to suggest again, Canadian Bacon.
