Thank you for the helpful video from the UK, Does the 2017 F30 have a wake command or do I always need to hold the voice command button?
not 100% sure on the UK models. Best guess is that the UK will be like the US models, so you would need to use the voice command button.
Great video guys, i just bought a 5 series 2021 LCI. I can voice control everything else except climent. Is there a setting i am missing? Thanks in advance
with he latest update for iDrive7 you should have the ability to control your climate as well.

I’m getting a 2021 X3. Can you tell me if I can access my Spotify subscription either via my IPhone or the BMW voice command
As long as your have the latest software update (which you should) you will have the option for both. Under Media there will be an opportunity to log into your spotify in the left menu, and if you do carplay or android auto you can use spotify that way. if you have a limited data plan on your phone i recommend signing into the car's version of Spotify as that uses the cars data signal not your phone to download and play music. Hope that helps!
Hey guys... i have a new 2021 bmw m440. Is there a secret on how to get the 12v cigarette lighter port (where I put my radar detector for power) and get it to turn on power?
thank you for your comment! am i to understand you want to find out if it's possible to make the 12V Cigarette lighter a switched power source (so that it turns on and off with the ignition)? if so unfortunately the 12V cigarette port is only constant power. if you have the add-a-fuse kit for your detector you can put it in the second row from the left of your fuse box in cabin to have switched power for it. hope that helps.

Under general settings go to language and you will see activation with Hello BMW you will then see wake word select that.

Hahaha point taken. To clarify the microphone button is on the steering wheel, the actual microphones are above your head (one above driver and one above passenger). Or if you dont’ want to use the button you can activate the wake word option of “hello BMW” or your own personal wake word. My personal favorite was a guest who despises virtual assistants so she named it “hello DIPSH*T” 😂

The navigation voice commands send me to New Jersey on my 2017 X3. What happened?
When giving addresses via voice command, be sure to give the full address including zip code.
@@BMWofFW I do. It still wants to send me to a town in New Jersey. It worked OK a few weeks ago. Thanks for your response.
@@Opoczynski thank you for the response, another thing to check is if you had New Jersey as a previous destination in your manual address input, it would automatically check that destination input zip code first. Hope that helps.

Is it possible to change espanol lnguage to English?
you mean in the car? yes it can be changed under settings. if you are having issues reading some pervious owner's settigns (or if you kids got into the car and started playing around with random settings) i suggest using google translate and point it at the screen for it to translate for you on the fly as you go through the settings. :)
@@BMWofFW i mean the voice assistant, menu language is english, but when i press the speaker button at wheel and say something it says something like can you repeat the word, but in espanol
This is so dated.. Not impressed.
It only responds to items in the infotainment system, it does not control the aircon, heated/cool seats, head lights, door locks and windows or drive mode.
Which model do you own? I have the 2021 x7 custom build and when I use the "wake-up" command, I can adjust the temp, open/close sunshades, turn on/adjust seat massage, and more.
