I heard this song recently and after my sister and I started to re-watch TWD (because I stopped watching basically after Beth and Glenn got axed) since it ended. I'm watching and It's already gutted me more than It did before.
I'm still a huge fan of this concept, and it's kind of interesting to look back and see how much she influenced him, and things kind of parallel. I've seen some spoilers obviously because it's the internet. I was really shocked to see that they had made paintings of maggie's deceased loved ones and then of course Daryl got a dog named dog, and that's literally what led to him and beth getting split up. I also got spoiled and saw the spoiler of Rick's hallucination a while back, and just the fact that they put Beth's dead body right after Daryl's (no editing needed on my part) made me just super sad. Especially because his arm is reached out in her direction. I think she was a huge reason as to why he was cool with staying in Alexandria, and especially the similarities to how she thought and what Aaron was speaking about. It's the place she would have wanted to be.
There are also just so many unused scenes that wouldn't fit into such a short song? He's wearing her shoelaces and him trying to keep the barn doors shut during his depression era since he opened the doors at the funeral home. It was a nice callback. Just the whole thing had me all sad again and I'm just in my feels with this sadness. I thrive on sad ships that had all the potential in the world, but instead just burned down by the writers.

I swear to god I'm stuck at season 6 cause the show has lost a lot since she died. Many other of our favorites died... It's just not the same anymore and it sucks
fr and the fact that we can't do anything abt it cause this was already years ago too😭 all we can do now is think of the what ifs on how it could've been between them if beth didn't die. and Im pretty sure there was a really deep connection between them and it was something else. could've been them, together:'(

He should have saved her and taken her to Alexandria and she should have been this adorable social butterfly who helps him adjust into the community easier and she becomes besties with Aaron and she's dragging Daryl along and she joins them for dinners and gets him to ease up and--- and-- the wasted potential and the friendships she could have had with Aaron and Tara and everyone and UGH 😭💔 SHE GREW SO MUCH IN THE HOSPITAL AND SO MUCH LOST POTENTIAL THERE.
As you can see I'm very passionate about this topic. 😊

oh how it’s been forever since I ventured back to bethyl. Still bitter at the show for doing what they did 💔. Her death was the start of me departing from TWD. i lost the interest by s8.

I guess its easier for him to hate on them to survive betrayal bc there is people who would chose a death of the one they love than to be betrayed by them

Ah thank you for commenting! Yeah it's quickly become my favorite video I've made. I do know he kept her knife! It was real nice of Carol to give it to him. Though I do wish we knew if he had it after the Saviors! I think some people think he put it away somewhere, I just hope it didn't get taken by them during the encounter. I do wonder if we'll see it again in the spinoff which would be cool!

I always loved the relationship. I really would love to see an edit of everyone grieving Beth’s death. She had an influence on them all. Her and Glen were the hardest deaths to deal with.

Voce percebe claramente que algo mudou na série após a morte de Beth. Ela trouxe esperança para todos, era o seu melhor momento, e depois ela morreu muito inesperadamente. De alguma forma, a essência da série morreu nessa temporada, e eu senti muito a morte da Beth, ela trouxe aquela evolução natural, ela estava crescendo, estava sendo ensinada por Daryl, alguém que dificilmente de abre pra alguém, não fez nenhum sentido ela ter morrido, quando mostrou algum potencial naquele momento. Não superei, e não conseguir ir muito longe mais em acompanhar a série, embora tenha assistido recentemente o reencontro de Rick & Michonne ♥️ Mas ainda fica aquele vazio que Beth poderia estar ao lado de Daryl, em uma grande aventura pelo mundo. Ela teria confortado o coração dele nesse luto por Rick, e tantas coisas tragédias.

Of course the writers of TWD were lazy. Anytime a girl showed weakness they ended the story. Beth’s fatal flaw was wanting to see the best in people. They took all hope from the show. Sophia and Mika are prime examples of more wasted potential. The hope they all could’ve brought to the show was thrown away.

I always hated that Daryl never told Rick she was kidnapped. Just "gone" could mean anything. They also completely gave up on her, only by random chance seeing the same car later on did they try and find her.
