We people from Upper Assam and Nagas from E Nagaland have so many similarities. Our love towards pork , rice beer and exotic foods like (deer / tortoise) 😂 and our hate touards non locals and soft corner for Insurgents 💀😂. Btw we Assamese also consume everything like nagas but we make it fry you make it boil

You people don't know much we have sacrificed by acting as first line of defence. Whether 17 Mughal invasions, British invasions and their mass emigration policy, half population gone fighting Mughals and Burmese . Gopinath bordoloi from assam integrated Assam in Indian union. It was placed in Pakistan map by muslim league and congress leaders were unbothered . If Assam hadn't been there this part of country has been part of Bangladesh, Mynamar or gang wars Mexico type .No hills states in Northeast India is financially independent but their false pride and ego as if they are doing favour being part of India .

FYI Saikia .. Ahoms never ruled Bura Namsang or Nagaland. Ahoms got scared of the British and took shelter in Nagaland.In 1833, upper Assam became a British protectorate under the erstwhile ruler of the Ahom kingdom, Purandhar Singha, but in 1838 the region was formally annexed into the British empire
Meanwhile, communities like Dimasa Kachari, Sutya Kachari, Bodo Kachari, Sonowal Kachari, Koch, Rabha, Garo, Lalung/Tiwa & Karbi who existed in Assam before the Ti-Ahoms, were a part of the greater Kamarupa Kingdom for 1200 years, wondering whom people are referring to as Assamese and migrants.
Now Bangladeshis only, self proclaimed Assamese.
