- Hello all of you. Last week where I lived there was a lot of rain, everything was wet, today it was sunny, so I took the cats out to cool off, the kittens just lying down to play for a while was brought back by the mother cat.

I did the same thing with my cat. I kept moving the babies back to the bed trying to protect them ( as I thought) and she will go right behind me and move them back to different spots. She was doing this after they were a couple weeks old so I decided to step back and just observe to see what she was doing. Come to find out, she was strengthening them and teaching them to crawl and walk around. I eventually backed all the way off and only touched them to nurse their eyes and just let her be a mother which it wasn’t her first go round. I realized I was just coming against her natural instincts.

Good on you for realising momma cat knew actually what she was doing and letting her do it! A feral mom brought her four kittens into our office during a big snow several weeks ago. They were so young but she is an outstanding mom and now that they're old enough to be weaned, altered, and adopted, I'm going to wrangle the kittens and take them to a shelter and, hopefully, get the mom t~n~r (easier said than done). It really was pretty interesting to watch how the momma cat taught her babes. Cats are awesome!
@@elisabethrankin7702 😊 yes indeed I really have enjoyed watching her this is her third litter so far. She was a rescue cat I found dehydrated one summer already had babies with her. We took her in and gave the kittens up for adoption and has had two litters since she has been with me. She has truly been a blessing to us and it hurts to see her in any kind of distress so I have learned to just pay more attention to her and do more research. Thanks for sharing.

I saw my cat how mothering was. To tell the truth human beings should learn from them. It is none stop love, care and affections. They are extremely tired but they kept going.
That mother cat was very unhappy about her kittens being taken outside. The fact she looked so uncertain says those kittens are often taken from her, and that frequently, the kittens she relocates are taken from her again straight away. Please, don't do this! Being a mother is stressful enough- she doesn't need humans keep taking her babies on top of it!

I would strongly suggest you educate yourself with the science rather than giving bad ‘advice’ because you think something is harmful.

Theres about 40 cats in this scamtuary, the fact there is a separate nursing pen that she puts the other in suggests that there are multiple litters, other cats snatch kittens not look after them

That’s a very long walk for the mom to make for every trip. I’m sure it was stressful. I stopped doing that to my cat’s babies when I noticed how worried she looked. I could visibly see some type of fear on her poor face. No good. 😕.
Aww mommy wants to get all of her babies but doesn't want to leave the first one she brought back & kissed up. What a good mama! That big, loud outdoor space can be alot for babies to handle. Mom did the right thing. And I love how she kisses them up when she brings them back 💗

Moving the kittens is a bad idea. The momma cat will bring them back inside ASAP, except the next time she will hide them somewhere in the house instead of the den you set up for her. Trust me, you don't want the family hidden under the couch or bed.

Mother cat had to make a decision on whether or not to leave the one kitten to retrieve the others.... she is a very good and protective mother. Agree with others to keep them together to avoid unnecessary stress to the mother...
That was mean taking her kittens away from her. Then following her as she wanted to take her kittens back to her safe space. She didn't feel safe leaving her kitting behind as she went to get her other kittens. That's putting alot of stress and anxiety on the mother cat by not leaving her alone to take care of her kittens and protecting them, too.

Whatever language cats use, the sound of a kitten in distress alerts all mother cats, even from thousands of miles away. There must be a huge worldwide cat collective that looks out for each other.

I was going to compliment this establishment on having a decent level of pussycats ❤️🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾 but then my attention was drawn to the unnecessary stress Mum was being subjected to with her kittens getting moved against her wishes... and she's already frazzled enough with feeding them, looking out for the constant dangers, getting some much-needed restorative sleep not just cat-naps, getting some much-needed food herself... and all the other parental headaches that are familiar to any halfway attentive parent... so she needs additional stress like she needs additional holes in her head. Poor Mum! At least this house is an otherwise very pussycat-friendly place for her to raise her kittens until they are into the commando/escapology stage, when they still need her but don't think that they do! 🐈🐈🐈❤️❤️❤️🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾❗❗❗😘😘😘 Pussycat floofballs are the best kind of floofballs! ⚽❤️😘 although the Alaskan malamute floofballs are giving them a serious run for their money! I had a cat named Huckle. And this reminds me. Of when she. Brought one of my brother's small Koala's down. The stairs just like a mother cat. Sadly she passed away from Cancer but I had her for 11years of love.

Well mama and papa love and trust there owners ,and most likely the video was too show how they care for there loved ones but honestly it was a short break for Mana kitty and dad , and it was a nice video .
What was the reason for which you shifted the kittens to other place from the mother cat ? Was it an experiment ? because I did not get any clue for the shifting. We all know that mother cat doesn't want any interference as far as her litters are concerned.
