Sometimes, the hard work doesn't pay off 😄 but that's part of the fun (and irritation) that the hobby brings 😂 Thanks for watching friend 🙂👍

Those are set up by a pressure spring & ball ,usually you can run the set screw almost all the way in
an it will stay in first gear ,then test run an slowly back the set screw out until second gear engages ,
keep in mind that second should hit later on about or when speeds are tapped out of first gear ,hence the
reason why second gear does not usually engage until a engine is tuned off of break-in for more RPM's
to engage a two speed trans!
In some cases ,a set screw can vibrate loose an cause the trans to stay in second gear or the spring an
ball is dirty & gummed up or damaged that will create a problem!

Yeah, there is probably something fishy about the transmission. Had it well over a year without issues. Then, out of nowhere, it was impossible to get right 😬 My last try will be the things you mention last in your post 👍 It's a fun buggy when it works but the quality from a higher brand is really remarkable 🙂

Hello bud. I recently learned that the one way bearing that connects the starter to the engine needs to be serviced or it will just fail very quickly. Do you perform this maintenance or not?

I have maintained it once in a while. I'm still using the original one-way bearing (had it over 2 years). But now it needed a replacement since it have started to slip 🙂

@@electricnitrorc Lol, why is there so little written about this? This is such an important thing. On this buggy, the one-way bearing completely lost traction with the engine. I wiped the area where it stands with ethyl alcohol, and I still have two new double-sided bearings. But still 0 clutch. Any ideas? Is it really necessary to completely clean it with denatured alcohol, as it is written somewhere? Or, as I understand it, you need to change the parts to which it is attached. This is a translation, sorry for any mistakes if there are any.

@@electricnitrorc By the way, if you remember me, I wrote to you about the problem at idle, I solved it by slightly leaning the mixture at low speeds. Honestly, I have the feeling that in my 3 months of experience I know more than some experienced nitro modelers. Since many people wrote to me to increase idle.

It's usually enough to just clean the shaft for the one way bearing with paper in my experience.
The Backwash is a great beginner nitro in that way, lots of problems 😂 and that's the way we learn 😀 you shouldn't have many issues when using a quality nitro because the Backwash has learned you so much 😊
