  • In today's video, since Alex is still in Las Vegas, Nevada, he wanted to get room service to show what that is like. The food is very expensive in the room but food is expensive out there anyway! The perk of eating it in the room was that it there was the amazing room view of the strip! The grilled cheese was very expensive but Alex had to try it to see if it was worth it. It was nice staying in the room and getting to look at the views. That was what room service was like in The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas, Nevada!
    Stay tuned for another video coming soon. Thanks so much for watching! God Bless!!!

    If you are still there, please take my advice and go eat at the Wicked Spoon Buffet. For a little more money…you’ll never forget the experience.

      Shoot I was gone already! Is it good? Never heard of it! Thanks for the info!

      Yes, it’s stinking good - times 10! It’s a high-end food buffet inside the cosmopolitan that you were staying at. I honestly believe Vegas has some of the best food in my opinion - anywhere. The Buffet at the Bellagio is great as well as Bacchanal Buffet at Caesar’s. All close to where you were staying. So if you go back again, give them a try. Pretty much DisneyWorld of food offerings.

    The grill cheese sandwich looked delicious. If you have time, look for an "All you could eat buffet" which is filling and may include a drink. Enjoy!

    Would the hotel allow you to order Dominos or something delivered to the lobby or would they deny that since you have to walk through the casino to get to your room...and insist you eat their food or go off property? I don't think I could spend $20 for a sandwich when I could get a large pizza that could be used for dinner and breakfast the next morning. Thanks.

      @thealtemlife  Před rokem

      Great idea! I think you can order from wherever you want and there are quite a bit of restaurants just outside the casino. I did see a few people carrying pizzas but not sure where they got them. Normally I wouldn’t spend that on a grilled cheese but wanted to get the experience on camera!

    What is your per diem allowance? Since this a work related expense!

    What is a customary % tip for room service? Do you pay the server in cash or can you add it to the bill?

    • @thealtemlife
      @thealtemlife  Před rokem

      They always add some sort of fee to the bill and not sure if the server gets some of that. I charged this to my room and when the server comes, they bring the check and make you sign it so there’s a place to add the tip. You pretty much just tip them what you feel like you should. Not sure if you can pay cash or not. The server was very nice though!

    You ate a rancid pickle. The bad vinegar gives it the minty feel in your mouth...gross.

    • @thealtemlife
      @thealtemlife  Před rokem

      I think the phrase should be I tried a rancid pickle lol. Actually if you read the description of it, it said the pickle is made in house so could just be one of their fancy Vegas flavors!

      @@thealtemlife it was probably bad I have never heard of a minty pickle but whatever..you like word games obviously

    • @thealtemlife
      @thealtemlife  Před rokem

      Very well could have been bad! Not a pickle expert but regardless definitely didn’t eat it, which was hard to do, since it was probably a $5 pickle based on how expensive the meal was! Thanks for watching!
