Why you "sealed" smoke alarm into this box? Into the shops they stand on sale shelf..if nobody disassembly the smoke alarm, desolder the ionization sensor and cut the capsule there are no risk of spread the tiny foil of deposited Am241.
As stated, I kept it in there as an example of a household item. It is not my intention to keep it in there forever. It’s also there to keep the foam from moving.
