Funny thing about it is I think this game saved my life in a real life crash avoidance. My roommate bought an entire system with foot pedals and the steering system that delivered real feedback to the wheel as the car corrected. It would blister your hands if you played for a few hours in a row. I couldn’t do it at first because I couldn’t feel the acceleration or the car movement. But once it clicks it makes total sense. I was driving in real life and a turn lane to my right with a large truck blocked view of me to a car coming to make a left. She pulled out and I was 15 feet away from absolute surprise at 55 miles per hour. I broke the car to the right and when I rotated wheel the back end of my car swung around avoiding crash just as I unknowingly practiced in this game. After I was able to un grip the wheel and I rolled down road in disbelief with that familiar feeling of oh shit I thought grand tourismo saved me or her potentially with crash avoidance training. I was in a ford wagon for the record.
This movie was phenomenal
I saw it yesterday on Netflix. Being a GT fan and it based on real life made all even better. Great movie!

Gran Turismo (2023)
Awful film. I love the game of Gran Turismo but the movie was horrifically cheesy and clichéd.
It was not based on the game, but a true story involving the game. It is a very good film and by no means awful.
