Watch Paul Gilbert and you'll be kicking everyone ass in his scales . Been picking 42 years and I used no pentatonic scale which I've been trapped in , try Paul for a lesson or two , your wife/gf will wonder where that beautiful music is coming from , get in your power stance and shred their faces off !!!

It's awesome man. Been playing for like a year and a half and every time I have a day where I jam out for 4 to 7hrs, you get this break through and it's nuts. Like an entire level up.
Then when you come back 2 or 3 days later, your fingers just remember without effort.
I've been a martial artist for a long time on and off and abided by the motor memory rule, but was discouraged when I started guitar.
However, after a year or so, the motor memory kicks in because your more comfortable and you fingers just get fricken tough.
Not only that, playing an instrument has seemed to add a positive impact on every field of thought and my relationship with God, most importantly.
      Really grateful, man. SO grateful.
      🙂🙂🙂
Keep practicing brother! It's nice to hear others who are experiencing the same thing. Same journey, different flavors.
We are truly blessed in this day and age with the technology that is available to us. ✌🙂

You know what you can do easily to lower the drums is find them in the eq and lower just that bandwidth. It's probably going to be just enough. Lot's of software some of which will have presets for lowering vocals, bass, etc, so you can find drums too and it'll be free. I agree, great jam though!!

Majors have a relative minor, like C has a relative Am, so they share the same notes, and it’s the sixth note in relation, so G has the relative Em. You can play the G major scale on an Em track and they’re the same notes. C major scale can be played on an Am track.
