I have seen both the Blue Angels and the Thunderbirds in the same show with their F4's Charleston SC on 300th anniversary of the city's founding. I also saw the Thunderbirds Torch a Corn field on a low pass at the DuPage County air show before they transition to T-38s.
I watched the F-4 Phantom Thunderbirds when I was a young boy at an airshow. From that point on my life goal was to fly the Rhino. Succeeded, flew the F-4 C/D/E and finally the G Wild Weasel. A couple thousand hours. It was indeed a kick in the pants fun.
Just now saw this video which incidentally was posted on my 51st birthday. I saw the Thunderbirds perform in the F-4E twice and a boy. To this day, still the best performances I ever saw from the team. Thank you for posting this wonderful & historic video.

The first time I saw them was as a child at Ramstein AFB FRG in 1966. Just awesome power and grace! What an aircraft!
