It's not a secret that FF is nowhere near as good as the original seasons, but what they did with Bishop is truly phenomenal. Hun and Bishop were such great additions to the franchise. Hun easily could've been a generic lackey, but they gave him a shit ton of character. He has his own vendetta with Casey, his semi-rivalry with Karai due to her being Shredder's favorite and my favorite part, his reaction to Shredder being a little angry jellyfish. I love that his whole stance against him switched so he decided to work alone with purple dragons, but because he worked with Ch'rell, he picked up on some things so PD escalated from a gang to a genuine criminal organization stealing from the government etc.
Bishop is just such a great idea. A soldier who got captured and experimented on by aliens, so he becomes immortal, incredibly skilled, but also vengeful, knowledgeable agent who does shady research. What separates him from Ch'rell is that whilst Ch'rell was a space terrorist who wanted power and conquer, Bishop genuinely believes that what he's doing is for the greater good. Hell, he did the Thanos before Thanos. But I also love the fact that when he got saved by an alien who easily could've gotten his revenge and then some, decided to save him, which sparked an idea that perhaps his world view was totally wacko.
Bishop went from a sadistic fuck to a president who singlehandedly united all types of worlds to spawn a stronger, utopian civilization, because that was Earth's best chance due to it not having the recourses of being protected on it's own. Great character, wish he was in more shit. He's in IDW comics, but I still prefer this version. I'd be cool if we got a triple A TMNT game, not an arcade game or some cheap ass bullshit, I mean real game, something akin to Arkham games or the new Spidey game. I'd be cool to have Bishop there, since he's arguably more terrifying than Shredder considering that he's above the law

Oh for sure, Bishop is pretty much "The Ends Justify the means" taken to such horrifying degree that in a way despite being a mere human, he's more of a monster than even Ch'rell with him being perfectly okay with having 57% of every human wiped out if it meant saving the world, plus the fact that he has the entire monetary backing of the U.S Government to create a series of gruesome experiments to further his ultimate goal to protect the world from Alien Threats all wrapped up in a Stylish suit, tie, and longcoat, an icy cold demeanor, on top being able to absolutely dominate most of his foes in combat make him one of the franchises coolest characters.

Bishop is beloved among the fandom and remembered because he the most well written character in not just a kidshow but a *show,* and, to me, the most well written *anti-hero-villain,* who is half the time a straight up a *villain* worse than the main villain. He and the Ch'rell are both chaotic evils of pure malice. Both enjoy inflicting pain on their opponents. They both have let their petty side get the best of them. They will kill ("destroy' is a bygone era censor word that writers had to abide by back then.) anyone who gets in their way. They are the same in a sense, but while Ch'rell dials it to 10 Bishop is able to bring it to 11, because he is a pragmatic man that doesn't let morality, glory or power get in his way. Ch'rell's thirst for power, delusions of grandeur and want of revenge gets in his way and impedes his ability to take risks. This is why Bishop is considered *the* bigger threat by some of us.
And I think it was good that they chose to make him a G-man/spook because he has a consequentialist, 'the ends justify the means' doctrine when it comes to national security. He straight up took a page out of Operation Northwood (I am almost 100% certain the writers mindfully wrote an episode based on the declassified 1997 document) and did a false flag to justify funding to his department and also to get petty revenge on the president of the United State who grilled him.

Bishop is a very interesting character. He starts out as a villain who has xenophobic views regarding aliens due to a situation where was abducted and experimented on by aliens. To be fair that would probably mess anyone up and give them a negative view to aliens. After that experience Bishop devoted his life to prevent that same experience from happening anyone else and to protect the Earth. A admirable crusade, though Bishop goes through some very dark and immoral means to accomplish that. During that crusade Bishop was saved by a alien he tortured and this opened his eyes that aliens could be friends and allies, so he changed his ways and became a force for good. Gotta love a villain turned good story.
