Great video.
Thank u benzema
u r welcome
Holy shit I see it 😂
oh my god hahahah
Thought I was the only one😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣
If that beat sounds mid, check your mids.
I second this.

5 - baby if you give it to me I'll give it to you
Ah, you recognized the song
A good tip to fill low mid that i use is: 1.duplicate a synth or a pad
2. Add half time and play with the ‘release’ and ‘speed’ setting to give it a fitting rhythm
3. Eq everything but from 250hz -550hz or so
4. Adjust volume to make it sit
5. Do some stereo imaging to give it more depth
I've got a notebook with your name on it to write out ideas from your videos.

Love the sound selection advice Navie
This format is underrated ! Really awesome to see you fix beats with such simple changes
Before I watch it I’m going to assume and edit after
1)noise
2)panning
3)sound selection
4)compression
5)humanization
Post watch:
1) sound selection
2) space
3) movement
4) sound selection
5) full spectrum
Great advice. Dream big ❤
Dude, I really like that you've been using a wide variety of plugins like Kontakt libraries, Guitar Rig, etc....especially applying GR to samples and non-guitar instruments. I've been doing that for awhile and always have loved the results. Nice to see a pro doing it too!
not hatin, but he's not a pro just cause he's got a big youtube channel lol
Thanks a lot for this great technics🙏
great video, you can't stress these tips enough
Just gonna grab that checklist real quick.. ahem. lol
Great stuff, Navie! Consistently. Would you have any advice on call backs and just overall composing?
I struggle with "telling a story", if you will. I should probably admit that most of my stuff isn't created with lyrics in mind. (Not to say it can't be.. lol) So, using bridges, key changes, and the like are difficult to formulate or conceptualize for me. I'm talking hip hop, but, (and probably more relevantly) other genres apply, obviously.
Much respect to you, and thanks for the entire package that you deliver on YT and beyond. cheers!
good shit as always my dude
If you use stock plugins and want a more processed sound add distortion, color, reverb, and decay can make a world of difference here
When you said some of my best friends are low energy I laughed out loud. Plus the beat fix for Stick Guy was dope. I feel like his version could still be used as the intro to segue into yours
Navie is always helping producers, wether they are beginners, seasoned, or proffesionals.
Thank you for the lovely words
Nice video, Navel D

@@NavieD thank you Navie. You're so right. Stupid shit aside, love your videos brother. You've taught me a lot. I always forget to use your ideas but still lmaoo
Hi Navie! For beat #1, what sound did you use for the vocal melody you added? I really like it.
I knew it king beat got the answer out that I wanted I stay using fl stock plug in and my beat never sound how I want them to and that explain it all
6:38 Stickguy shouldn’t feel bad abt this beat, I like the 2013 Earl Sweatshirt and Tyler, The Creator vibes from it
“Girth” you was suppose to say no Diddy
Someone please help, I'm new to production and I'd like to know where I can download plugins. Please & Thank you
I try to give 16 bar spaces (3 minimum that size) with my beat making... My issue usually is adding too much alongside my sample flips I use whether it's two different parts sampled (for example one for the chorus and the other for the verse)
ts got you a new sub
👌
hay loved ur vid man, but i have one comment in 10:43 about the stock plug-ins isn't just more about how u pick ur sounds from these stock plugins than just every stock plugin isn't suitable for beat making ? surely if u puck the right sound with the right fx-s it will always sound right .
I kinda get what u on with these plugins r more suitable for dance music but still u can always make any sound work with ur beat if u just pick the right one doesn't matter the plug in
I agree but it's harder and more time consuming if you don't have knowledge. Some people can sound design whatever they want but for most people it's easier to use better plugins.
@sideshow4463 yh i get that i myself use 3rd party plugin alot but my point is u don't really need them like he is say i just need to know how to make the sound u pick to work
The best video for the chanell
2:50 thats some lovely girth navie!!
bro wat
@@YxsdrEditzno
the depth part is interesting but i feel like it's kind of brushed past how to do it. Is it just volume and distortion for foreground and quieter sounds/reverb for background? ty!
Yes but I would further advise to play with volume levels before adding effects to get it as deep as possible first.
Deadass, just with the thumbnail alone you can tell that the channel rack is going thru hell. 💀 not going to watch the video cause I’m lazy but for starters, the thumbnail is spot on. I stopped using the channel rack like that due to how much more flexible you can be if you split different sounds, samples, etc into different channels n stuff. They are pretty good for looping samples and tho if u mess with the time knob and cut it em through those windows. But that’s just my process or what was due to my laptop shitting the bed :P definitely helped me organize with mixing a lot better that shit used to be all over the place
You are awesome and so zen bro 😂 thank you for your efforts!
That synth high frequencies piecing the ears that’s monomays real problem lol

Thanks NAV
Tf was the 1st beat
💀
as soon as he introduced his own organ into it tho
whenever i see “music professionals” give tips, most of the time they haven’t really done anything with their music career and just post yt vids which makes me skeptical to listen to their advice. you letting me know that you’re a qualified artist who’s worked with many people and produced quality stuff makes me feel a lot better 👍👍
مشتی هستی و پر طرفدار
that was very insightful..time to go to work
whenever i have this issue i just find a reference track that somewhat resembles what i want my track to sound like. it's genuinely a cheat code to making good music because you're just copying what worked for someone else.
can you do this style of video more
Navie D the gem dropper!
Can only FL users submit beats to you? What if I'm using a less used DAW like Reason?
gold!!
Not an expert on music, just a fan. The second beat I think should feel bigger somehow. I feel like it could knock harder if different elements were added one at a time, so as you're listening the beat gets filled in to its final form if that makes sense.
Interesting observation. Thank you for that!
You changed the genre of that first beat completely😂. I still love the results tho. And, your advice would still apply even if you kept it in the same genre
The final track felt like that Busta Rhymes joint
I believe it is a remix the producer tried making
I like the swing of the original beat.
*On the first track in video
There is another problem with the last beat. It has the same main sample as a famous Busta Rhymes song. People who know that song automatically compare those productions and as one is a famous producer with decades of experience making beats for Tupac, Snoop, Method Man and Redman amongst others, it is obviously difficult or even almost impossible to be on the same level.

I like the way u teach i just wish the examples are lot more clear and 1 change instead of ima just put this in. Which could come in with multiple changes . If that makes sense
Mr. D you kinda snapped on this video ngl
Track N°5 got some nice vibes.
Send it to Busta Rhymes, he might like it.
Bruh I need you when I’m making beats I think you proving 👂 ears and pro level education, I think you right about stick plugins it’s so hard trying to find good sounds they all sound weak and techno-not #5 stealing the the whole baby if you give it to me I give it to you I know what you want
This is gonna sound generic, but couldn't you also use Halftime or Deja Vu to achieve tip 5? Simple mix in to taste with original sound then boom low-mid freq checked?
I'm always high (energy) will you be my friend??

the other thing about the 4th beat is no reverb. super dry.
This video is gold
U think ur gonna win another ballon d’or?
"How did you fix the first beat?"
"I replaced it with something completely different."
Ngl I like stick guys idea better because it had a better and more simple and solid foundation he could have added more energy with sounds and instruments on top of that like some leads, synths, piano, anything really. It was very a very nice Tyler type beat
That last beat sounds like that Busta Rhymes Mariah Carey song.
1:17 i hate my mind
3 was hard, not necessarily traditional but more abstract i hear a crazy flow on it personally just needs a little better mix
that second beat would actually be fine if there was more dynamics between the notes. its just too loud but really that beat is totally able to be rapped on
Now i need to know who Mr. Pickles is 😅
Bro that stick guy beat was so good
That first beat was wobbly bruh
”Some of my friends are low energy” 💀
"some of my best friends are low energy" lol
Lmao mr pickles outta his noggin
day like 5 of asking for a clams casino video
You completely changed the genre with the drums on the 1st beat though...
Sometimes the beat just isn't good unless there's vocals on it too. That first beat could've sounded great with a Peggy verse on it. Remember guys, the beat is never the end goal; it's a foundation for a full song.
You're like the Anatoly of FL Studio :P
Just finished the video, thanks brother ... I really appreciate ALL your videos man.. I think we live close to eachother .. (*relatively speaking) (Ontario, Canada?)
I thought Mr. Pickle's version was better. 🥒👑

Thank you for this video. I guess the next step past sound selection would be how you mix and or eq your beat. The way that you redid the beat and pointed the guy to the free or cheap vsts so he could get away from the stock sounds was solid. I commend you for that. Have a good day. It's good to see someone with the heart to help people. I salute you for that sir. 🫡
